Please leave the rental the way you found it.
There are NO pets allowed in the rental.

1.Smoking is NOT allowed inside but is allowed outside only. Please place cigarettes butts in bucket supplied in fenced in yard. The bucket contains sand to put out any fires.

2.People other than those in the Guest part set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other persons on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.

3.This rental property is privately owned. The owner is NOT responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that may occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowner is NOT responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the property.

Please stay within your designated area. Please DO NOT walk around ranch, there is livestock and wild life is running around at all times. This is for your safety as well as the animals safety.

Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. If there is a large spill please call owner immediately or any other concerns at ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) my personal cell.

4. Electricity:Please turn off ALL Lights, Appliances, TV's, DVD/VCR players that you are not using. This helps in our electricity bill and conserves energy.

5.Appliances: Only use appliances for their intended uses

6.A/C Unit and Furnace:We want you to be comfortable while you are in your rental. However, please be respectful and do not turn the unit to high or low. This conserves energy and keeps our electricity bill to a minimum. Also, if you know you will be gone for sometime, please adjust the unit to a higher number or lower depending on the season and when you return turn it back to a comfortable position.

7.Parking:Parking is Limited to 3 vehicle(s). Vehicles are to parked in designated parking area only which is located next to the rental property. (Located at Graveled areas end)

8.Housekeeping:There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the rental.

9. Keys: Keys for Rental Property are located in a small black box on the ground next to the door that you will use to enter the property. Please leave the keys in the same place as you have found them when exiting the property.

10.Children:All children must be supervised by an adult at all times and may not be unsupervised. Children may go to the cemented area that contains the black metal table/BBQ area but must be again be accompanied by an adult at all times. The owner is NOT responsible for any and all accidents that may occur to adults or minors.

11.Gates:ALL gates to and from rental property to include the fenced in area around rental property is the sole responsibility of the guests and all gates must remain closed AT ALL TIMES. Please glance behind you that they do actually close. Please do NOT allow any livestock into the fenced area at your rental property at all. If there are any problems or issues with livestock at any time please call the owner on her personal cell immediately @ ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). 12. Gravel Road:The Gravel drive is maintained as best as possible. Please drive slowly up the gravel road. We do not refund your money due to the road conditions. This road is a gravel road and does go to a working ranch. Rains do occur and can cause the gravel road to become rough at times. If flooding occurs please take extra care in entering and exiting the property.

13.Rental Property:I ask my rental customers to please leave the rental property as you have found it. If there is any issues please contact me immediately. No refunds will be given for storms, inclement weather, or any other acts of nature that may arise during your stay.

14.Septic System:Understand your rental property is on a Septic System. Please do NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet.

15. Well Water:Understand your rental property is on Well Water. This water comes from the ground and is pumped into a very large water reserve and then is pumped up to the rental property through a pressure pump. If drinking well water is an issue I do advise you to bring your own bottled water to drink at all times.

16. Under aged drinking and illegal drug use. There will be no under aged drinking or illegal drug use tolerated. If there is you will be asked to leave and there will be no refunds.

The Historical Pfeiffer Ranch is a working ranch. It was purchased in 1939 by Meta and Hilmar Pfeiffer. They raised cattle, sheep, chickens, and grew oats, corn, and hay. The original house is still in use. The Pfeiffers had a large family with 4 sons and one daughter who all worked the ranch together, but after WWII, though they all would come back to help, only Lawrence and his wife Eva stayed on the farm. I Shirley, am their daughter. I was born in New Braunfels and attended Canyon High School. As a child I helped my father all the time. I watch and learned everything I could about our farm. I was taught plowing to planting to harvesting, to handling the animals and do simple repairs. The ranch now belongs to me and I wanted to share a bit of this beautiful hill country paradise with others. That is why I have a fenced in area for you to enjoy along with your family. A place to rent out for those who desire the peace and tranquility of the country but also want the convience of a modern place to stay . I do not provide Wi-Fi because I believe that getting back in touch with your family and friends is very important now adays. I hope that you enjoy your stay and take delight in gazing at the beautiful stars, and watching wildlife and grazing livestock on the ranch that you can see from your rental. You can contact me personally if you like to hear stories of the ranch and how it once was a dairy that serviced New Braunfels from the late 1800s to 1939 when my grandparents purchased the ranch.
