We had a great stay at Therese's. A beautiful hotel, great food, amazingly peaceful. The pool is lovely, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. You get amazing views of the river, and the sunsets are even better.

This guest house is truly unique!! The staff, the surroundings, the accommodation are truly stunningly beautiful!!! Genuinely friendly, warm and caring staff and the people in the local town are so friendly and generous!! Staying here benefits the school that the owner set up for the poorest local children, many of which are orphans. Seeing the school and the children is one of the best days we've had!! Very emotional!! Staying here in a developing country is actually beneficial to the local economy and community and is completely ethical!! We fell in love with the place and if you have a heart you will too!!!

Location, location, location! People, people, people! On a ridge top overlooking the monsoonally swollen Ayeyarwady river Eric has created a slice of paradise on earth. It is a bit off the beaten path if all you want to do is link Inle, to Kalaw and Bagan. But you are doing yourselves a disservice if you skip Lei Thar Gone. Eric's vision for the facilities showcase his ingenuity and imagination while providing you with world class amenities and a community to go with. Every staff member feels like family. Nowhere else did we feel like we had found a home. And then there is the School of Love and Light, of which Eric is the Headmaster, less than 100 meters from your room. Maybe you can limit yourself to peering through the fence and saying, "Oh isn't that lovely dear?" We could not. For some a tour with a bit of history is enough. For us it was not. Each of the four of us, wheth(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or 59, found a way to help the children (Kindergarten thru 10) all from local poor families or even orphaned street urchins. Your smallest gestures will be rewarded 100 fold if you open your heart. LTG is bed and breakfast but you can also have dinner with them every night for small charge. The food is local prepared in their kitchen and delivered with grace, professionalism and charm. The views are to die for and some of you may experience, your first monsoon rains here. Try it from the secret balcony cantilevered behind the dining room. Do not remove LTG from your itinerary. Go out of your way. Go and be delighted.

This is a special place. Recommend to anyone who wants to get away and relax. Super chilled atmosphere with great service and delicious food. The story behind this place is beautiful. Definitely one of my highlights travelling around Asia.

Great place to disconnect and the meals are excellent. The host goes out of their yo explain the history of the region. They don't provide lunch which is a bit challenging because the food options are limited in the area but they did extend to make an exception for us.
