Proximity to Portsmouth, UNH, Maine coast and White Mountains. There are multiple rooms available in this charming old home. You'll be sharing the common space with us, but we leave early and come home late during the week.
You have your own floor in this old Victorian home. The room gets eastern and southern sunlight that makes for a bright and cheery space during the day and a quiet cozy spot to sleep at night. There is ample storage and a desk for you to work at. Perfect for a commuter working at or attending UNH, or for a professional in the Seacoast area.

We enjoy meeting new people, but we're busy during the week so we may just have enough time to say hi before bed. When we're home, we'll show you around town if we're available.
Dover is a classic New England mill town, with a river running right through town and under the renovated Cocheco Mill Building. The neighborhood is in the Heritage District of Dover, with elegant Victorian homes all around us. Our house is in walking distance to restaurants, the town library, and the Amtrak train station. We're a short trip to Portsmouth and with easy access to the highway, you can get to the White Mountains in just over an hour or so. The University of New Hampshire in Durham is just a few miles away, accessible by train, bus or by bike. LaFesta Pizza, Dos Amigos, The Thirsty Moose, Seventh Settlement Brewery or The Farm restaurant all make good meal stops and Adele's coffee shop is open early for coffee.
COAST bus stop is a few feet away and can get you to UNH Durham, Portsmouth or to the malls for some tax free NH shopping. The AMTRAK train station with rides to Boston or Portland,ME is a slightly longer walk. The Dover Community Trail will take you downtown or to the train station. We have off street parking if you'd rather drive, and we even have a few bikes we'll loan you if you want to cruise around town or take the bike on the bus to Durham.

I'm a public school educator who loves the outdoors for biking, skiing, open-water swimming, rowing and hiking. Our grown kids live in Somerville, MA and Bushwick, NY and we visit them whenever we can. I love good coffee, local restaurants, meeting new people of any age and walking around new places to get the lay of the land.
