Hello future guests, and a warm Welcome to Casa Cafe.
This is an active coffee farm in which you can join the staff daily if you choose.
The farm has been in the family for over 30-years. After the owners retired from their positions in the medical field, they decided to continue working the farm, producing mainly coffee, harvesting citrus trees, and even harvesting their own delicious honey.
When you visit (during coffee picking season) you'll get to see the machinery and the elaborated craftsmanship of picking the ripe coffee fruit, processing it with rain/ spring water and drying it with natural sun light. This is 100% Arabica Coffee, and is available to all our guests, just like the honey and handmade soap bars. If you happen to love the product, you will have the opportunity to purchase any of them and take them with you as a delicious reminder of your amazing stay at Casa Cafe.
The owners Julio and his Lovely wife Carmen go to the farm almost every day to work, they will make sure the house is ready for your needs.
They don't speak a lot of English, but definitely enough to get by., just remember that Adam and I are a call/ text away.
This lovely quaint home is located 2,000 ft. above sea level. You will love the lush rain forest conditions that this side of the island has to offer. Just like all of our other homes, this one has a well equipped Kitchen, 3-Bed Rooms, 1-Full Bathroom, a nice Living Room which includes a Full size Futon, a Flat Screen T.V. a DVD player and WiFi.
If what you are looking for is to get away from what has become your everyday, while at the same time learn and experience another culture then you are in for a treat.
Don't forget to order some Delicious Authentic Puerto Rican cooking while staying with us, and get excited about the Tours and Extras that we've put together to help you plan out your perfect vacation.
We are very happy and excited to share some of our culture and love of the island with you and the world.
Hope to see you soon!!!

Many (not all) of our homes have hammocks, a grill, and all have basic cookware for you to use. We do need to know the exact amount of people and rooms you will use during your time with us as we lock rooms that are not in use. Since our prices are very modest, if your home has a washer and dryer we do not allow the use of these for stays under 7 days or you can request them for an additional charge of $30.00. Many of the homes have fruit trees, and you are welcome to pick the fruit, but be courteous to future guests.
You are welcome to help on the farm if desired and enjoy the country life along with your hosts but please do not touch the equipment without supervision.
You can walk anywhere on the property but please do not open the cages or pens that the farm animals are in and keep yourself and your children far away from the bee boxes.

We also have many family and friends helping us to make your stay a memorable one. They clean the homes before you arrive, cook meals when requested, and truly help create the “culture" of your home when you need something. Adam and I (Cathy) are not usually in town, but we'd love meeting and spending time with you when we are. We are always a text or call away!

-The home is accessible without a 4x4 Jeep but we ask that you leave small vehicles in the driveway of the home that is at the base of the dirt driveway and walk to the home. If the drive way is super dry, you can take your chances but if you get stuck, you will have to find a local or tow truck to help you and it is just not safe for regular cars if the drive way is wet.
-Bring a flash lite for the walk if you arrive at night.
-We allow absolutely no visitors or unregistered guests.

-Coffee farm management is all year but there is not always coffee beans on the tree. The home is private and amazing but please don't instant book if your time here is contingent upon seeing the coffee process. Just confirm with me that Carmen will be at the farm and able to attend you. Our area also has other farms with daily guided tours in and out of season.
-Our reviews do not talk much about this because it does not happen much but on the rare occasion that a utility fails while you are at any of our mountain homes , we ask that you be patient and enjoy mountain life knowing that all of the other neighbors do not have water or electricity for a few hours as well. We have many elderly in the area so utility companies work diligently to fix issues. All of our homes have back up water reservoirs and I have gas lamps and/or candles at all the homes. We will not refund any funds for not having a utility if it's not our fault! This happens everywhere in Puerto Rico, not just our homes. The difference is that I mention it for your knowledge. Some of the few guests that have experienced an outage expressed it was the best time they've had with their family because the TV was off and they played games together.
Mountain Life is Fun,
Enjoy the adventure!

From a young age our respective moms frequently took us to this beautiful island called Puerto Rico. Although our families were from different sides of the island, we share similar stories of hanging out with crazy cousins in the rivers, adventures in the lush mountain surroundings with our brothers and going fishing at the beach with our vociferous uncles. Our fondest memories were/are sitting at the dinner table with our grandparents to hear delightful stories about how life used to be.
Several years ago I was presented with the concept of using my logistics & real estate background hand in hand by owning and/or marketing amazing homes in Puerto Rico. Since then I've been joined by my beautiful girlfriend Cathy and my lovely niece Katryel who both share my love and passion of the island and its delightful culture.
At most of our properties you can order delicious authentic Puerto Rican meals cooked and delivered right to your home by our family & friends. We offer several eco-friendly adventure tours (fulfilled by local companies), or you can just relax and immerse yourself in the local culture while creating wonderful memories.
We offer the ability to travel and explore the whole island using one of these homes as a base or several during your stay. Doing this will help you better experience our culture, and the islands’ delightful people. Our hope is that you fall in love with this enchanted island as much as we have.
Once you complete your reservation, Katryel will send a PDF that you will need to print prior to your arrival. This information includes detailed directions with GPS coordinates, more information about your stay and what we call our Activity Chart with lots of extras. The Activity Chart will help you plan out several days in our area with local spots to enjoy!
Upon arrival to Paradise, Cathy and I take over (mostly through text if you need anything). We, like many of you love to travel, the outdoors, to learn about where people are from, their likes & dislikes, but mostly what made you choose Puerto Rico.
Some of these properties are ours and several are owned by individuals (many elderly) that have trusted us to share their homes with the world using our management and marketing systems. We only work with people who also want you to explore and experience some of our rich and diverse culture. Since many of these owners are elderly and all the homes are in residential areas, I encourage you not to book with us if your are not lovely, clean, honest and respectable.
We are honored you are considering us to help “host a life-time of memories”!!!
