“The many Roman sites in Cartagena -Capital City of the Romans in Spain, 209 BC- as well as the rich historic background, having hosted settlements from several civilizations like the Phoenitians make it the most visited town in the area. Certainly its Roman Anphi-Theater will make your mind drift off 2000 years back in time!”

“It's got a massive Carrefour supermarket for food shopping and has other clothing and high street shops on 2 levels too, well worth a visit on a rainy day as it's all inside and undercover. Don't bother with the restaurants though as they are expensive and poor quality.”

“Lovely fishing marina. Ideal place to visit for Scuba diving lessons or excursions. Some great restaurants on the harbourside catering for all tastes, with lovely fresh seafood. Some of the small beaches in the area are wonderful for snorkelling. Nearby Cala Reona is great for sunbathing, swimming, paddle boarding hiring pedalos, also has a great beach bar. ”
