Bay
“This is an amazing day out, you can park up and either walk up the hill to Durdle Door or through Lulworth village, passing many icecream shops, to reach the cove. If you fancy it you can walk the entire stretch of the Jurassic Coast, or hop from one cove to the next. Lulworth to Tyneham Bay takes roughly 2 hours one way.”

“Jurassic Coast treasure! It gets extremely busy in summer, our advice would be to park at Lulworth and walk 20 minutes over the hills from there (it's a well signed path way with lots of people, you can't miss it!)”

“Beautiful area and nature reserve with a view of the beach and sea on one side and Christchurch harbour on the other. There are large fields, a walk up the head itself. There is a cafe/restaurant on the spit beach and also another cafe at the car park. The visitor centre has a small garden outside and cameras showing nesting birds (great place to fly a kite - it's always windy!)”

Natural Feature
“A tranquil spot just 20 minutes' cruise away from the flat and home to the rare red squirrel and roaming peacocks. Nature reserve, beaches, cafe overlooking the harbour. In the summer, there is an open-air theatre performing Shakespeare (your ticket includes the cruise fees) every evening. Simple to get to from the cruise kiosks on the quay (moments from the flat). Your cruise ticket is a round trip, but there is an entry fee for non-National Trust members. ”

“Only for real treats! Great food and views, great service. You will have to book way in advance for a table here. Also if you like that kind of thing have a walk around the walled kitchen garden. Spendy in the restaurant- Watch the wine bill! In summer they do flatbreads in the garden without bookings, phone ahead to check as they won’t do walk ins otherwise.”

“The food here is excellent - you can tell they use fresh ingredients and the menu has some interesting choices. It's very stylish - country and unpretentious but comfortable and inviting. It's also worth a visit for the drive through the Fonthill Bishop Estate - beautiful, stretched out well kept paddocks and fields with horses grazing and attractive wooden fences...Very English country! ”
