Best things to do in Estes Park

“Remember the Shining? The movie was filmed here. The original hotel was built by FO Stanley and he brought people from the front range to his hotel by Steamers. In addition to the hotel, there is also a power station built to power his hotel on Fall River which is very unique. It is not longer in operation but is a museum. There is also a museum on the lower level of the hotel. Ghost tours are available for a fun evening.”

“The Country Market is a few minutes via car and is a smaller grocery store, but closer than Safeway. It has a complete selection of frozen foods, dairy, meats and vegetables, though not as large as Safeway. Great quick place to stock up, but slightly more expensive than Safeway. ”
