Barrahead Cottage is close to The Grampians National Park. You’ll love my place because of the views and the peacefulness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and pets. Please ensure you read all the information about Barrahead Cottage, particularly Other Notes, so you are well prepared for your visit.
Barrahead Cottage is situated at the Northern end of the scenic Victoria Valley, 35kms north of Dunkeld and 50kms south of Halls Gap. It is very peaceful and quiet.
Mirranatwa is a rural, predominately sheep farming community. The Grampian Mountains surround the area.
  • Great view! Enjoyed our stay recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway needing only the basic necessities.

    Rachael2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The scenery at the farm is just stunning! You are literally at the foot of the Grampians. My hubby, bub and dog had a wonderfully relaxing stay here. Thoroughly enjoyed waking up to sheep just outside the fence and sunrise over the mountains. Just divine. We will be back!

  • Great place!

    Linda2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Deb's place was wonderful, situated on a such a beautiful farm with views that make this Airbnb a real gem, the house was spcious, wood fire heater and very comfy beds were a big plus! Nothing but great things to say about the accomodation, however a heads up for anyone with a car that isn't a 4 wheel drive or has low profile tyres, probably not good idea take the back road through the grampians to get to the farm, dirt road was incredibly bumpy and rough!!

    Jake2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful peaceful location. Accommodation was comfortable, clean and well equipped.

    Sharon2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for exploring the Grampians. Hosts, Peter and Deb, were very welcoming giving us eggs and veggies from their garden. Tess, the rack russell, and Possum, the cat, were also very welcoming, coming to visit us within minutes of our arrival. The Cottage, which was a fair distance from the main homestead giving us and the hosts privacy, was very clean, well equipped and roomy. Plenty of space for our boys to explore. We will definitely be back!

  • We stayed at Duncan’s place after 2 nights in halls gap! It was in a great location to explore the Grampian wine region and allowed us to continue our escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! Thank you!!

  • This is such an amazing place to stay. This was our second visit in 6 months. First time in Summer and this time in winter. Such different experiences, but both as enjoyable as each other. The weather was clear, but cold so we all loved using the wood fire this time. We loved the seclusion of Hillrise cottage. However, it's close enough to a great coffee, Halls Gap, Ararat and loads of spectacular natural scenery. We'll definitely be back.......AGAIN!!!

    Guy2018-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hillrise Cottage was beautiful. Waking up in the morning and seeing the kangaroos made me relax and enjoy the perfect escape. Duncan’s super accommodating and we all highly recommended staying at his cottage!

    Paige2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for a secluded getaway to escape to the Grampians or Halls Gap Zoo. Close enough to the surrounding towns of Ararat and Halls Gap but far enough away to offer complete privacy. Beautiful scenery everywhere and nice touches to the place. Thanks Duncan

  • Very calm and quite location, easy to find from the main road.

    Owen2018-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and such a cosy apartment. Perfect for those who likes privacy and the scenery there is beautiful. Duncan is also very friendly and is quick with his replies. We will be back! Thank you!

  • Fantastic accommodation. Absolutely spotless, had everything you could want and more. Very comfortable with great planning and decorating style. We will definitely stay again next time in the Grampians. We didn't want to leave!

  • It was a great location with good facilities and a clean and modern house

    Yuney2018-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • If I had a holiday home, this is what I would base it on. Beautifully laid out with lovely extra touches (wine and chocolate on arrival) that made our two night break out of the city even more ideal. Really comfy bed and the whole place was incredibly clean. Appreciated the well equipped kitchen which allowed us to cook a couple of meals here during our stay. Very prompt communication which was helpful in advance of our trip. Would recommend and would definitely return, thanks Fiona.

    Steph2017-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay modern homely and close to everything you want to do 10/10 amazing place would definitely come back

    Chad2018-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great atmosphere, great location, had everything we needed. We mostly cooked our own food and the kitchen was very well equipped. The house was also super clean and well maintained. Had a slight problem with the water heater but Fiona was very responsive and it's all good. Location is near the main town but secluded enough that it's quiet. We even saw wild kangaroos at our doorstep! Highly recommended.

    Ken Jon2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona was an excellent host. Quick and concise on communication. The house is extremely clean and well appointed, making for a very pleasant stay. There is telstra reception here and just a moments drive to the cultural centre and shops. But far away enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town. It will be even more wonderful when the plants grow bigger to give the place a bit more privacy.

    Amy2017-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you to the host for a clean, fresh and modern home for the weekend. It was great to wake up each morning with Kangaroos, Joeys and Emus at the window, before setting off on a hike or walk up one of the close by natural attractions. The heating made this house warm and inviting after a full day brushing up against nature, with plentiful appliances and generous wine chocolates and toiletries to refresh upon. Thank you.

    Adele2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed only one night but it was great experience. The tent was clean and nice atmosphere, the public bathrooms also clean and well organised!! Not much bugs inside and around was a good point for me!! Not far from town central and shops are closed around 8pm. Highly recommended l

    Anna2017-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect base camp for a few days' hiking in the Grampians. Very friendly staff. Quiet and private but still an easy walk to well-maintained park amenities. Cleaner than you imagine a tent could ever be.

    Jack2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing scenic location close to all the main attractions in Halls Gap. Great amenities and quite an interesting experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get outdoor yet still feel comfortable.

  • The host canceled this reservation 24 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Emily2017-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great night away. Everything was very clean and lots of wildlife right outside your door.

    Hayley2017-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, highly recommend!

    Samantha2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking to experience all the wonders that Glamping offers in a fantastic location with great amenities this is the place for you!!! We stayed for 2 nights and it was precisely what we needed to escape from the busy pace of the city and connect with nature! The reception staff make brilliant coffee and have lots of handy resources and tips about local walks in Halls Gaps! Highly recommend ordering a pack of wood (just have some paper and twigs to hand to get it started) to enjoy the warmth of a fire on your deck! The wildlife is brilliant... very friendly cockatoos everywhere and kangaroos! If you want to feed the cockatoos grab a bag of bird seed from reception and watch them flock to you... they were quiet happy to sit on my partners shoulders and legs to enjoy some seed! Sit back, relax, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the stars!!!!

Environmentally friendly rammed earth house with magnificent views of the Mt William Range and the Grampians. Surrounded by national park.
Jeraboam is a secluded cottage on 90 acres situated just within the Grampians National Park near Moyston. Enjoy magnificent views of the Mt William Range, watch kangaroos, emus, wallabies, deer and birds from the windows and walk in the surrounding bush. There are many walking tracks nearby. Jeraboam is off the grid and strives to be completely self-sufficient in energy and water. There is a large cleared area around the house with an outdoor setting and barbecue. There is also a bonfire pit and vegetable garden and orchard where you are welcome to pick your own produce. A separate bungalow containing a double and a single bed and a wood heater is available by arrangement. Jeraboam has its own seasonal creek and a permanent landscaped dam, available for swimming.
Jeraboam is surrounded by national park. It is 15 minutes drive from the nearest shop (Moyston) and has no permanent neighbours. While you are staying with us, you will see (and hear) only bush, wildlife, and wildflowers. Halls Gap, Stawell and Ararat are all about a half hours drive away as are Lake Fyans and Lake Bellfield. Wineries, such as Seppelts, Langhi Ghiran, Montara and Bests are an easy drive too.
  • This place is simply amazing! We had the most wonderful stay. The house itself is so gorgeous. I would even say the pictures do not do it justice. Our visit was during winter and sitting next to the open fire playing backgammon with a champagne was everything. Each morning we awoke to kangaroos and emus grazing just metres from the house. Don't hesitate on this place. It is simply wonderful and we will be back again. As Janet notes the house is very secluded so you do need to make sure you are well set up with food and drink.

    Amanda2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in the bush. Open fire was wonderful. All amenities work well for an off grid house. Beds super comfy. UK visitors loved the abundance of wildlife.

    Susanne2018-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't rate our stay at Jeraboam more highly! All the comforts you could need and all off the grid. we loved having the fires roaring and cooking on the wood stove whilst it stormed outside. With views of the mountains, functional veggie garden and kangaroos, close to walks, plenty of activities and games available, it really has everything you could think of. Completely surrounded by bush you forget about the outside world for a few days, and those stars!! The house was clean and tidy with everything intentionally made to work as a Eco solar powered home. Was a fabulous winter escape for a group of friends but would be great for a couple or a family as well, lots of usable spaces but also easy to close off if not using. we all left all feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, hope to be back soon, maybe in spring to swim in the Dam. Thanks Janet and Patrick for being great hosts and sharing your beautiful property.

    Miranda2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • It's fantastic. I have no words to describe!!

    Misty2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Janet’s place is an excellent example of an eco house and design! The setting is quite breathtaking, and we loved spotting all the roos in the morning. The vegetable garden is also delightful!

    Jessica2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t let the lack of reviews put you off this wonderful property. Janet is a very experienced host (just on other sites!). Jeraboam is very special. It’s a lovely rammed earth house that is at the edge of the national park. We saw kangaroos, emus, deer and bird life all from the lounge room! The property is secluded and peaceful but an easy drive to wineries, cafes and hiking. Even though it was cold outside, the house was toasty warm with the fireplace and wood stove going. So if staying in winter, you’ll need to be able to build a fire (materials provided). The wifi is limited but will only be a problem if you are wanting to stream/download. You can easily check emails/messages etc. There is a gorgeous little orchard and veggie patch which Janet generously allows guests access to. There is also a damn for swimming but being winter we didn’t go near it! We will definitely stay again. Thanks Janet!

    Sarah2018-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jeraboam Eco Lodge is an all-round wonderful experience. The house is uniquely designed and well thought out. The roaring fire will keep you toasty warm through the winter nights. Slipping into the outdoor bath with Mount William behind you is a must! Sitting on the outdoor patio at dusk, watching the kangaroos and emus graze is an absolute treat. Halls Gap and the Grampians National Park is located close by. Overall, had a glorious time there and would highly recommend this property. Clem

Modern, luxury, secluded, studio style, couples only retreat, nestled amid the trees - yes, but what does this actually mean? Simply: a cosy cast iron wood fireplace, a delux luxury spa bath for two, a raised balcony amid the trees, the privacy of a native bush-land block (but only 1.5km from the beautiful and bustling Halls Gasp and it's restaurants and cafes), and this is before you start to explore the beauty and grandeur of the Grampians National Park. Or tipple at the local wineries and enjoy the thriving festival scene ...
A Heavenly Escape enjoys the peace and privacy - as well as the wildlife - of a native bush-land block. Yet the house is only a 1.5km wander to the centre of beautiful and vibrant Halls Gap and its cafes and restaurants.
  • Absolute Empfehlung! Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig, aber dennoch zentral. Alles war sauber. Die Ausstattung ist luxuriös. Die Kommunikation hat bestens funktioniert. Halls Gap ist ein super Ort zum Wandern.

    Sascha2018-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for our first stay in Halls Gap. Timothy's place is in a secluded spot but close to town. It's a lovely space for two, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and a great fire. The aircon is great while you're getting the fire going! While not normally a spa fan, it was perfect after our 5 hour walk. Timothy's communication was extremely prompt and he could not have done more to make our stay memorable.

    Penny2017-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend away at Timothy's place. The accommodation was clean, spacious and offered everything we wanted for our stay. Check in was easy and the location was peaceful and secluded yet close enough to walk to the general store when need be.

    Belinda2018-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is stunning!! Heavenly is right. A beautiful secluded balcony in the bush was a wonderful place to watch the cockatoos from. A perfect getaway for a couple. Also so close to the amazing Grampians hikes! A warm welcome in absentia by Tim, and flawless organisation made this a very easy getaway. I highly recommend staying here.

    Anna2017-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Timothy's place was perfect for our first trip to Halls Gap and we couldn't have loved it more. It is close to town and incredible walks but secluded enough to feel far away from the rest of the world. The balcony was beautiful for bird watching (and feeding a few cheeky cockatoos!) and the spa was incredible after a long hike in the rain. Would definitely recommend, we both didn't want to leave.

    Hannah2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at 'A Heavenly Escape'. 5 stars well deserved. Everything you could want in a house supplied, and very clean. Great bed, bathroom, and spa an extra bonus. Fantastic location, short walk from Halls Gap centre. Thank you!

    Colin2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely recommend this place. Description is very accurate and Timothy has fantastic communication. Will be definitely back next time we visit the Grampians.

Brand new 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house! Very modern, comfortable and clean. Huge block with visiting wildlife. Nestled right behind the Halls Gap shops and cafes. Uninterrupted views across the valley floor to the Mt William Range.
The house is situated in the heart of Halls Gap, with magnificent mountain views.
  • Wunderbares Haus in perfekter Location. Sehr guter Ort um die Grampians zu erkunden. Sehr gute und unkomplizierte Kommunikation mit Angela . Perfekter Aufenthaltsort für eine Familie . Sehr zu empfehlen, vielen Dank.

  • This is a beautiful modern and comfortable house, in a great location for access to all Halls Gap's amenities, and a great starting point for several fabulous walks. There is a good outdoor pool a couple of minutes walk away. There are hundreds of Roos in the field behind the house - and often several in the garden! There is no wi-fi which might be an issue for some, although it didn't bother us. I can thoroughly recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in the heart of the Grampians.

    Alison2018-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect hose for 2 couples. 2beds 2 baths. It was just as described. Clean and comfortable. A perfect base to explore the Grampians. Walking distance to food places and shops. Lovely view from the back deck.

This cosy wooden cottage was lovingly built by its owner. It is wall to wall wood with a wonderful exposed slanting ceiling and a set of stairs leading up to the mezzanine. There are 2 verandas for relaxing outside and a beautiful fireplace for keeping you warm in winter!
It features 2 levels - on the ground floor there is the lounge room (containing a sofa bed), kitchen and bathroom. Then upstairs on the beautiful mezzanine level is the open plan sleeping areas - with the master bedroom and a nook containing 2 single beds. When you enter the front door you can see the whole house all the way up to the stunning cathedral ceiling.
Dunkeld is a small town 1. The general store - this is open from 830 - 6pm. They sell a good selection of general grocery items. Additionally they always have some beautiful local cheeses, milk, meats, eggs etc. They also make a decent coffee. 2. Take Away shop - open most evenings till about 10pm, they sell pizza, fish and chips and other assorted goodies. They also sell some basics like bread and milk, in case you get stuck. 3. The old Bakery - this is a beautiful spot of a coffee and breakfast or lunch. Their breads are beautiful and they have a good selection of things to eat and sweets. 4. The information centre - for a small town they have a great info centre, run by locals. They are open every day and will happily tell you about all the best places to go. 5. The arboretum - this is a parkland which is 5 mins walk from the house. It is worth a stroll or 2. Often seen there are Kangaroos and Emus. 6. The Royal Mail - many people stay in Dunkeld just to go to this restaurant. Best to google them, or drop in and talk to them about their food and pricing. They actually have 2 restaurants, so worth finding out what’s what!
  • Great location, Greta was easy to communicate with. It could've been warmer, the reverse cycle blowers seemed to blow out cold air only. This was during Winter. Also the sauna doesn't work, the open fire doesn't work, and it took a long time to take the chill out of the room. Having to filter the tank water isn't always convenient but it's quiet, scenic and had a pretty outlook toward Mt Abrupt and the chickens

    Nick2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house is a unique Style, comfortable but has steep stairs The heating needs to improve as the chimney needs repairing due to a storm that went through a week or so earlier

  • Gorgeous little house in a gorgeous little town

    Aaron2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brings back memories of the cabins we've stayed in in Finland. A special stay in a warm, homely timber cabin manufactured over there near the Arctic. Fancy having the opportunity to repeat the experience here in Oz. So authentic and lovely. Greta, thank you so much for being the perfect host, helping us in so many ways. We'll make this our stop over to the snowfields again.

    Seija2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 2 days during Australia Day holiday at Greta's wooden house. It's about 20 minutes drive from Halls Gap town center in a very quiet village. The house is pretty outside and sparking clean inside. Our kids enjoy the books, DVDs provided. It has everything we need. Greta is very friendly. She kept in touch with us before we arrived and provided good instructions. We really enjoyed the stay and will come back next time when we visit Grampian national park.

  • A perfect slice of paradise! Greta was extremely accommodating and helpful. The place was gorgeous & in perfect condition. Highly recommend staying here & dining at the Royal Mail!

    Sarah2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Greta's home was adorable - perfect for our girls' trip weekend to the Grampians! The home was cozy and well located with only a 45 minute drive to the major hikes. It was easy to find, clean, and had plenty of spaces to sleep. We had a great weekend away from the city, and Greta's spot helped in making a great time!

The double spa will impress! A modern and well equipped cottage. Self-contained with linen & towels provided. Perfect for a romantic getaway for a couple or for rejuvenating alone. Surrounded by nature and with the necessities of home. Opposite Brambuk Aboriginal Centre & walking track to Halls Gap (2km).
The double spa room will delight! Our reviewers have been amazed by the spa and the modern facilities. Enjoy an open and modern lounge/kitchen area with everything you require for cooking, split system and gas log heating, veranda, sheltered BBQ area, TV, queen bedroom with en suite bathroom (shower), electric blanket. An abundance of wildlife wandering past: deer, emus, kangaroos... This is the ultimate retreat!
There are walking/cycling trails into Halls Gap where there are shops, including several eateries. The Brambuk Aboriginal Centre is across the road and has great food and coffee and many historical displays. They also sell maps and souvenirs. The Views Hotel/Restaurant and Punjab Indian Restaurant are both about 1km from us and have great food. We often walk to them at night. The Halls Gap Hotel on the Stawell Rd and also the Kookaburra Bar & Bistro our side of Halls Gap are also good for meals.
  • The property was beautiful. Inside was modern and spacious for the two of us. Outdoor was close to everything we were after bush, wildlife, friendly town. Sue was so helpful with the surrounding hot spots and even a few local secrets. I would live in this place if i could.

  • Loved our time in the “Love Shack”. Great location, clean and tidy. Everything we needed :)

    Emma2018-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in a quiet area, all the essentials in the kitchen and a great little bbq area. The bath was good to come back to after a big day exploring. Definitely worth a look

    Daniel2016-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was clean, roomy and great location to explore the Grampians from. Located close to road but most of the lodging in this area is. Jacuzzi tub is a nice plus and so big you almost need a life jacket. We only met Sue briefly. She was very pleasant. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is that the decorating was drab and the place could use some art work to brighten it up.

    Yvonne2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet area but close to the center of town. Clean and comfortable place with great amenities. Sue was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Had a great stay!

  • Fabulous place. We loved the spa and the wildlife.

  • The Love Shack was awesome. Was good to hop into the massive spa after a big day of hiking. Sue is very friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of helpful info about Halls Gap. Will definitely stay again when we come back.

    Nick2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for couples to stay while in Halls Gap. Comfortable bed and luxurious spa bath. Just right. We enjoyed dinner at the Kookaburra Hotel and breakfast at Harvest (twice!). Sues place is a 15min walk out of town but its an easy, safe walk along a footpath which we shared with kangaroos, deer and ducks.

  • We were welcomed warmly by Coronne & were delighted with the cottage. It was clean and spacious with both historical & modern touches. It has a great outlook & there were lots of kangaroos and even an emu! The chooks were gorgeous too! The open fire was a bonus. I highly recommend this rustic piece of Australiana!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cabin was gorgeous, with a beautiful porch and perfect fire for a cold winters night. We stayed in June on quite a wet and cold weekend and the cabin stayed very warm all weekend. The hosts (Corrine and Aidan) met me upon arrival and gave me an overview of the region and a map for directions on what to do and see. The property was also sparkling clean, with everything you need. I couldn’t fault the property at all - a great place for a weekend away with friends or family!

  • Amazingly tranquil place just a minute or two's drive away from the heart of Halls Gap. Very well set up - very impressed with the two bedrooms with great lighting/views of the lush green backyard and local flora and fauna, fire place, well equipped kitchen and bathroom complete with great spa (perfect after a day out hiking!). Daryl and Lisa were great hosts - very responsive to both email and text messaging. Would definitely stay here again

  • The little cottage is everything it looks like in the pictures, so cute! The fireplace and nature and spa bath. It's really close to town and only a short drive up to The Pinnacle which is a spectacular walk. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an escape to a beautiful part of Victoria.

  • A short drive from the main area of halls gap, there are kangaroos in the evening and cockatoos visiting the house porch the entire day. We used the BBQ which was very easy to use. The house is comfortable and lovely.

  • Gorgeous cottage in a great location, well equipped with everything you could need. Surrounded by great views and an abundance of wildlife including kookaburra, cockatoos, kangaroo's and wild deer. Great communication from Darryl too. Perfect getaway!

    claire2015-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Darryl was readily available, friendly and willing to accommodate our needs. Whispering Gums was as described on the site, and was a beautiful little cottage; a perfect place for us to stay for two nights, with three adults, and two children. Our two children loved the bush surrounds. The wildlife was a particular highlight, especially feeding the native birds that sat on the verandah (and on our shoulders!) and enjoying the kangaroos and rabbits they also saw around the property. The property itself had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the spa bath. I would highly recommend for a peaceful Grampians getaway.

    Chris2018-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment I arrived, I felt at home here. Paul and Pauline are lovely hosts, they are friendly, kind and always willing to help and provide information for whatever you need. The place itself is very nice and has beautiful views of the Grampians. You can also see many native birds around, that love to visit their garden. It is very quiet and peaceful in this area which I really liked. I slept so well in the very comfortable bed and felt completely rested. I was also able to use the meditation room to do my yoga practice which is another lovely space with a gorgeous view of the Grampians. I forgot that breakfast was included and was suprised in the morning to see breakfast already laid out in the kitchen. They provided an amazing range of breakfast foods including tea, coffee, juice and lots of fresh fruit. This place is really wonderful as are the hosts. The room was perfect and even though it's part of the main house it's designed so that you have private access, so you can have your privacy if you prefer. I highly recommend Cloud Mountain to everyone, you won't be disappointed.

  • A delightful home/house. It is actually nicer than it looks in the pictures. An easy 15-17 minute walk to the Stoney Creek shops, and close to all local activities. The house is set in a lovely wooded environment and is very quiet and peaceful. Internet is a problem (perhaps depending on your provider) and there is no internet connection to the property. It is clean and spacious. Don't touch the thermostat on the fridge, if you do everything will freeze. Overall a pleasant 7 nights. Thanks

  • We had a fantastic time staying at heavenly retreat! Lovely setting with the spa bath and the log fire really made our weekend. Very cosy, huge bed, lots of rugs and most things we needed in the kitchen. Our hosts were extremely contactable and happy to help give us extra local information about the town, which hikes to go on, and recommendations for local cafe's and the best place to buy groceries. We had a lovely time and will definitely be recommending it to our friends!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Heavenly Retreat, the place was very nice and peaceful in a quiet location. I especially loved the spa! It was hot and the air conditioning worked well. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need including picnic plates and cutlery. Before we arrived we got a detailed email with instructions including where to shop for groceries which was useful. There were no problems and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

  • Heavenly Retreat was everything we could have asked for! Its always a worry arriving to a place wondering if the photos show the true space as they often only show 'the best bits' but there were no lies here. The place was as lovely as the photos showed. The town was lovely with wildlife present throughout the day and night. We went for a walk and saw a herd of deer crossing the road which was beautiful! The spa was lovely and the bed was to die for! My first night home I was sad going to sleep in my bed rather than the luxurious bed at the retreat! The three nights away couldn't have been anymore peaceful, this is a place I would definitely return to again.

  • What a lovely place and fantastic view. The place was as described. We really enjoyed the tour of the farm and the comfortable place. Close to Dunkel.

  • The accommodation was fantastic and the hospitality even better. Karen and the family were very welcoming and the dinner they provided was outstanding. The accommodation was exactly as it was described and made for a very comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend

  • Karen greeted us upon arrival and made the whole experience comfortable and easy. The tobacco kiln was very cosy, and and the farm itself was everything we hoped for in a romantic getaway over the Valentine weekend.

    Nathan2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's place is a haven for those seeking to get a peaceful break away from their busy lives. Karen was warm and helpful and the farm tour was very enjoyable and insightful. Location is great for those wanting to explore the Grampians as well!

  • Thank you to Karen for making us feel very welcome. The accommodation was clean and very organised with everything we needed. A special thanks for the delicious breakfast things and a surprise box of chocolates for my dad for Father's Day.

  • Karen and her family are the friendliest persons you can imagine. Their place has a wonderful athmophere. You want to stay there to get Back down to earth!! Go! Try it!!

  • This is a very unique place set on a working farm in amazing countryside. Whilst the building is small, it has everything you need and is very comfortable and cozy. It backs right onto open fields and whilst it sits within the main farm property, you have complete privacy and space. It is ideal for a family with young kids to run around outside and is a short drive to Dunkeld and Hamilton. It proved to be an excellent base for us to explore the Grampians and was away from the mass crowds and traffic of Halls Gap. I thoroughly recommend Karen's place to anyone wanting a fun yet practical base to explore the Grampians. Thanks very much for all your hospitality Karen!

Swampgum Rise is a serene escape from the city. A perfect base to enjoy your visit to the Grampians!
Nestled in a quiet area of the Halls Gap valley, Swampgum Rise is a cosy A-frame cottage suitable for couples or small families. Despite its bush-like setting, with wild life visiting every day, the house is located only a short walk to the town centre, shops and restaurants. Enjoy an afternoon BBQ on the sizable deck, then relax by the fire at night with a glass of wine. Or check your mail on the free WiFi. Bed is a few steps up the spiral staircase where wonderful bush views will greet you in the morning.
  • A beautiful stay -great location close to Halls Gap shops and walking trails close by.

    Heather2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Swampgum was very relaxing and comfortable. The perfect getaway. We plan to revisit again and highly recommend staying there; it's cozy and fully equipped.

  • We spent a great week at this very unique house. The host was very welcome and responded to our queries quickly and efficiently. The house has a great set up, quickly warmed up in the cold July week and offers all the facilities. It is only 5 min walk from the shops, but at the same time had the feeling as if you were in the middle of the bush with a lot of animals all around. Great location as it is very close distance to all the attractions and great walks in the area.

    Daniela2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Close to Kookaburra's, the best restaurant in town. A large, basic house well-setup for families, not as suited to couples or a romantic weekend getaway.

    Kay2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place was wonderful. The location was perfect. Very easy walk to the visitor centre, the start of the wonderland loop, and the local shops and restaurants. Jason set up the place well, providing lots of nice touches to make the stay easy and enjoyable. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying in Halls Gap.

Passive solar holiday house, very comfy beds, great deck with views over farm to mountain range, 10 min walk to town centre, part of Quamby Farm, all linen, fully self contained, just bring food! The King bed can be made into two King singles if requested prior to arrival.
Gate house to Quamby farm. Ant's Halls Gap House is the only place in Halls Gap where you can access Quamby Farm, a third generation farm on the valley floor. Price is per couple per night. While the house easily and comfortably hosts 2 couples, the (steep) upstairs open plan loft can take up to another 4 guests on the 2 double futons there.
The amazing sandstone ranges rising up (straight up) on either side of our family farm. The really amazing wildlife like birds, kangaroos, deer...all are very much a part of living and staying here. Very family friendly town, heaps of walking tracks through the ranges to explore, from windswept peaks to cool, damp gullies, the Grampians are an island of biodiversity and a geological wonderland.
  • Fantastische Unterkunft.

Thank you, Ant and Melissa!

    Martina2016-03-20T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely spot! Had plenty of room for teenage boys who need their space. All amenities including washer/dryer and dishwasher came in handy. Melissa and Sarah were lovely and made us feel right at home. Will definitely stay here again if we visit the Grampian's in the future!

  • Ant's place was everything that we expected and more. It was a gorgeous house and Ant and his family were really welcoming and helpful. They even left us some home grown veggies and fresh eggs from their farm. Their two daughters were also really helpful with advice on what to do in the area and got the fireplace going for us city girls who had no clue! Loved our stay there and would definitely go back again.

Louise Ross' favourite past time is riding up Mt William at 6am & watching the sunrise over the horizon from the top of the mountain. Our girls love the space, wildlife & making bush cubbies! TESTAMONIAL - JAN 2010 Yes, we really enjoyed our wonderful quite stay at The Escarpment. Perfect position, plenty of wildlife and walking distance to Halls Gap village. The accommodation was great, it had everything we needed. (I also liked wooden floor!!!). We have already recommended The Escarpment to our friends. Thank you, Ekaterina "With UK visitors we stayed at THE ESCARPMENT for two nights. A mistake. It should have been two weeks! THE ESCARPMENT is in a handy position in Halls Gap and is beautifully furnished with everything you could desire on a holiday. We have stayed in Halls Gap a number of times over the years (usually with overseas friends or relations) and have had "satisfactory" accommodation. However, in future,THE ESCARPMENT will be the only accommodation we will consider. We will return! Dorothy and Brian Robertson Jan 2010 Many THANKS for our wonderful stay at The Escarpment! We had a fantastic weekend, it was just what we needed...! The house was perfect, well facilitated & clean, the beds were comfy, the spa was awesome and the surroundings were amazing, the peace and quiet was divine! Thank for making our stay one to remember. Thank You very much again for the stay and we look forward to next time we come back, certainly we have told our friends and they have said they will definately visit The Escarpment...! We will definately be back..!!! Kristen Jan 2010 "We stayed at The Escarpment during the weekend of the Hall's Gap Jazz Festival where our band was playing. It's a beautiful house with beautiful surroundings. It is so serene sitting on the deck out the back eating breakfast or lunch and watching kangaroos hop past. We'll definitely be back (in fact, this is our second year staying at The Escarpment!)." • Wir waren zu viert ein Wochende im Haus und es war perfekt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und vollständig ausgestattet. Louise haben wir nicht persönlich kennen gelernt. Die Kommunikation ist einfach und unkompliziert. Das Haus ist ideal auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt mit bis zu sechs Personen. Der Abschied ist uns schwer gefallen.

  • Very much enjoyed a weekend getaway at this cosy home in a beautiful location. The house is well furnished and equipped, with a gorgeous fire for those colder evenings. • Secluded and spacious home with thoughtful touches that make it feel welcoming. Excellent location, easy check in/out and great amenities. Inside the house was a convenient book written by the hosts giving details about the house and nearby places/services. Highly recommended for couples and families!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Escarpment. We spent each day exploring the "magical" surroundings and it was lovely to come back to our welcoming little abode. What the house lacked in modern aesthetics it made up for in charm and comfort. We especially enjoyed the spa bath and sitting around the fire-pit at night. Having the kangaroos hopping around was a big treat too!!!! Louise was very open and prompt to any communication we had. Thank you for a wonderful family holiday.

    Justine2014-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house was located close enough to the town but far enough to be nice and quiet, aside from the sound of the occasional kookaburra or magpie. Everything worked fine and there is plenty of space. We also had a BBQ and there is an excellent little terraced area on the hillside at the rear of the house for this. The front balcony is also a pleasant spot to have a lazy breakfast. Overall it was a great place to spend a long weekend and I would highly recommend it, especially for groups.

My place is close to parks, restaurants and dining, great views, art and culture, local shopping and the beautiful Grampians Nation Park. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the high ceilings, the views, the location and local wildlife such as the kangaroos, emus and koala bears.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

  • Paul's place was amazing. It was located just 2-5 minutes drive to town where you'll find restaurants, a grocery store, icecreameries and souviner shops. The stay was very comfortable with amazing amenities, airconditioning was amazing after a 4 hour hike in 35 degree heat. The firepit was also a nice activity on the cooler night. This is also central to Ll the major hikes in Grampians such as the pinnacle and MacKenzies fall. All on all an amazing trip

Draw the curtains and the first thing you can see are the wildlife grazing with the mountains as a backdrop. The house was also near the shops and well-equipped with cooking utensils (in the event that you want to cook). Definitely the place to stay in when you visit the Grampians!

Wannon River Lodge is 10 minutes from Dunkeld, under Mt Abrupt and next to the Wannon River. By staying at our lodge you have access to our 75 hectare reserve of scattered red gums, some of which are over 400 years old. Ten minutes walk from the lodge is our billabong, picnic table and back gate into the national park.
Wannon River Lodge is a two room converted shearing shed with timber floors nestled into a beautiful bush setting. Original timber sheep yards flank the corrugated iron lodge. Room one is the living area containing a wood fire place/ wood stove, dining table, sofa, book shelves, free WiFi and Bose sound system. The room also has a queen bed. Room two has a king bed, kitchenette, shower and toilet, washing machine, TV and gas heater.
The Royal Mail Hotel is just 10 minutes away and boasts being one of the best 10 restaurants in Australia with the Best Hotel Wine List world-wide by Fine Wine magazine (UK). Chefs harvest produce that inspires that day’s menu from their large organic kitchen garden. The orchards and olive groves provide further seasonal produce. Eggs from the free range hens are collected daily. The Royal Mail's own farm provides their lamb and beef. Our stunning location allows you to start to explore the Grampians region's spectacular natural beauty within minutes. Choose one of the many marked bushwalking trails to see spectacular peaks or experience many of the ancient Aboriginal rock art sites.
  • Michael's accommodation is beautifully situated. It's close to some top Grampians walks and not too far off the main road. The property has many very very old trees - it's very unusual to see so many magnificent healthy specimens. Michael's own home is across the open paddock from the converted shearing shed but far enough away to still provide the accommodation a private feel. Grey kangaroos and wallabies abound at all times of the day. The shearing shed, fully converted, is larger than one expects, and once the wood fire gets going, it's very comfortable. The front deck is a good size and gives bigger feel to this accommodation. Pots and pans are minimal but excellent quality. If you intend to cook meals - take every thing in the way of supplies and seasonings, oil ,salt and pepper, etc tea coffee etc there are no food supplies in that way. We highly recommend this accommodation, it's a good easy experience of being off the grid for all those who dream of it, and we would return again.

  • We had a great time staying at Wannon River Lodge. It is a cosy lodge on a beautiful large property which is amazing for wildlife watching. Close to the Grampians

  • We had a fantastic stay at Michael's place. It's set on the backdrop of Mount Abrupt on a beautiful property full of fabulous birds, wallabies & kangaroos. The lodge had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Michael is a great host, very friendly and helpful. The area has lots to offer too. Thanks Michael! We'd love to come back some day.

Loved the kangaroos, the walk down to the billabong and cooking up breakfast on the patio. Beautiful big comfy bed also. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Within easy walking distance of Halls Gap visitors can enjoy the tranquillity of some open space in this clean and basic holiday house accommodation. This spacious property boasts impressive views of the mountains. Visitors also have the option of an authentic swag (STA) stay in the clear mountain air on the stunning 4 acre property. This property is perfect for families, outdoor types, sports teams or backpackers who just need a bed after a tiring active day. It is a rustic and quaint rural retreat - please don't book expecting a spotless super modern townhouse - and like our past guests, you won't leave disappointed in the great natural experience. It is relatively old farmhouse, and there is a lot of character to it which people love but it isn't for everyone so know your expectations please. Wake up to kangaroo and emu families roaming the property and kookaburras laughing. No other houses are visible from the property as it is the best of being in the bush but also only 1 km from the centre of Halls Gap community at its shops, restaurants and walking trails. • Secluded, beautiful location off the main road but so close to the town's centre. Well worn but very comfortable house, flanelette sheets, overgrown garden to explore and roos and emus as promised, as well as a rope swing over the creek. We had a wonderful week.

  • If you're looking for wildlife on your doorstep as you relax in spa then look no further! This place is just wonderful - and as guests to Australia we loved the Kangaroos in the garden! The perfect spot to start your hikes to the beautiful Grampians.

  • Cathy is an amazing host: her house is cozy, very well equipped, and decorated with taste. She is very attentive to guests' needs, diligent and generous with information on her website and with the advice she provides on the area. Hall Gaps, the Grampians....Oh my god!!! We are world travelers but Boroka Lookout, the hike o the Pinnacle (with our three kids and my 74 yrs old mom) were breath-taking. Food was also pretty great with 5 stars to Livefast. We also enjoyed the Brambuck Aboriginal museum, the friendly people everywhere andvthe countless kangaroos!!!! You will love Hemley House, Cathy abd the Grampians!!!!

  • Great, relaxing spot. Close to town.

    Monette2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Hemley House was a delight to stay in. Beautiful and relaxing. Quick stroll to main shops (and great cafe). Beautiful scenery, not forgetting the spa on the deck overlooking the kangaroos.

  • G'day Cathy. Thanku very much for having us at your place. You should be proud of what you have made available to those that are interested in visiting Halls Gap and the Grampians. We had a great stay, we braved the not so nice weather and did some awesome hiking knowing that we could return to the excellent heating and comfort of Hemley House. The kids thought it was heaven having their own TV's in the bedrooms and my wife and i thought the same about the spa after a day of walking with the kids! Overall a great weekend away and I would be happy to recommend your place to our friends and family. Cheers. Adrian

Self contained studio style apartment contains a large spa in your private bathroom. This apartment features a kitchenette, with excellent heating and cooling. Ideal accommodation for couples looking to get away on a budget.
The expansive and serene grounds feature many native plants and grass, making it common to see kangaroos and many other Australian birds and wildlife in your own backyard.
There are many walking and hiking trails throughout the Grampians, leading to amazing locations such as the popular MacKenzie Falls, panoramic views from the great heights of The Pinnacle, ancient Aboriginal rock art in the Park or at Brambuk, and lookouts such as the Balconies with views of the Victoria Range.
  • Overall a good experience. Basic accommodation - but that is to be expected due to the great price. Would stay again because it is affordable and in a great spot.

    Erin2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was perfect for our stay. Close to the zoo and the Brambuck cultural centre as well as the local shopping strip. AJ was very accomodating and helpful. She was very prompt in replying to any enquiries. The bed was very comfortable. We would come again. (It was very exciting to look out the bathroom window and see kangaroos hopping by so close to our apartment.) loved that!

  • We had a great night in the apartment and it was a great base to explore the local surroundings on a whistle stop tour. The facilities were more than adequate, a great location and it was so cool to wake up and see kangaroos bouncing past the window and kookaburras in the trees. Great contact from the host with easy to follow instructions.

  • Good and enjoyable place to stay. Everything was good and even the Emus came to visit us in the morning ^^ I recommend

    Sophie2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay - less than five minutes from township of Halls Gap yet is nicely tucked away from the main roads for maximum privacy and comfort. The perfect base for anyone looking for a holiday at the Grampians.

    Jasmin2017-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • There is a nice barbeque area on the property and the spa and heater worked great. It is in a good location and the perfect getaway. The only issues were the amounts of dust everywhere. Bedhead and side tables in particular looked like they had never been wiped. We had to clean both as it made my partner's allergies react severely because of the amount of build up. And there was no doona Cover provided. Only a top and bottom sheet in between the doona. Apart from this we were happy with everything else.

(This space is external access only)
Neigbours are very quiet and we dont see them very much.
  • I stayed at Serenity on High with 5 friends for a weekend away. We arrived on a chilly Friday night and in no time at all we were curled up in the big, cosy arm chairs in front of a warm fire. The following morning we woke up in comfortable beds to magpie and kookaburra songs, and when we looked outside we saw kangaroos grazing, emus strolling by, and friendly cockatoos perched on the balcony. For a bunch of urban dwellers looking for a weekend away from the city, we couldn't have asked for more. The house is just a stones throw from the centre of town - the perfect place to start our hike up to The Pinnacle. When we returned home later that day we found the kitchen and dining room were more than spacious enough for 6 hungry hikers to enjoy a communal home cooked meal. We found Serenity on High to be the perfect place for a weekend getaway and if we could have stayed longer, we would have.

A beautiful home with lots of room- perfect for a much overdue girls trip away. We will definately be back!

  • Leanne and Trevor were very welcoming and Kennebec is a beautifully renovated, spacious historic home which was very comfortable. The high ceilings made it lovely and cool on the hot days. The amenities and our hosts were very accommodating for my elderly mother. The breakfast provisions were gratefully received. The location on a quiet farm, well back from the highway was very peaceful and well situated to explore the region.

  • We had a fantastic long weekend at Kennebec. The house is beautiful, and has everything you need to feel right at home. Leanne is a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. I highly recommend staying here - it's the perfect place to get away and relax in picturesque surroundings, whilst being close to nearby towns and is an excellent base to explore the Grampians.

The house is stunning- a brand new renovation which is immaculate, and just like a home away from home! Leanne and Trevor were generous hosts, and we had total privacy. We can't wait to return to the area and would definitely stay at Leanne's place again.

  • This is a clean and beautifully maintained townhouse equipped with everything needed for a family holiday, in a secluded location surrounded by cockatoos and kangaroos. It is also within walking distance of Halls Gap, and there is a great local pub a two minute walk away. Linda has provided all bedding, towels and soap, shampoo and conditioner. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a fantastic oven. We enjoyed our stay here and recommend Linda's place highly.

    Alice2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location. Much bigger than it looks in the photos. So cosy. Wish we could've stayed longer.

    Emily2017-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place is very nice and she was wonderful and organised with the booking! Would highly recommend staying at her place, and would definitely be going again. One tip would be to bring insect repellent/bug spray during Summer because of all the bugs though! Otherwise, the house is very well equipped to be cooking yourself, and the living areas are nice and comfy for an afternoon nap after hiking!

    Michelle2017-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Place was really cosy, with all the amenities provided. 2 minutes drive to Halls Gap. The sight of kangaroos behind the backyard was also also! Would recommend to anyone exploring the Grampians' region.

    Antony2016-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect accomodation for a family or a few travellers! It was warm and welcoming with plenty of games and DVDs for all! The animals out back were amazing! Loved every minute of our short but sweet stay! :D

    Holly2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious house with good facilities, quiet at night. Loved the kangaroos coming right up and the birds eating out of your hand.

    Christopher2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place was perfect for our group of 6, with the unit much larger than it appears in photos and containing everything we could possibly have needed, and more - cooking equipment, cutlery, DVDs, board games, towels, linen, and so on. The house was nicely presented, very tidy and in a perfect location with easy access to the main street of Halls Gap & everywhere else we wanted to visit. The balcony looks out over a mountain view and feels very close to nature with the kangaroos and emus roaming close by. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy, and meant we could make the most of our time in the Grampians. Although we didn't personally meet Linda, her friendly and welcoming communications made us feel very much at home during our stay. We will definitely be coming back!

We can offer you a farm stay in our cosy comfortable self contained bungalow attached to our home. It sleeps 3 in a double bed bunk and a single bed on top. Wake up to the birds singing and farm life
Lazy Acres is a working sheep farm that produces prime fat lambs, wool, cropping and cattle. We also use horses and working sheep dogs to move the sheep and cattle.
We are at the Southern end of the Grampians National Park so if you like bush walking, scenic drives, lovely views, no traffic, clean air and animals, Lazy Acres is the place for you to experience real Australian farm life. See working sheep dogs at work. We shear the sheep in January. Our sheep have their lambs from July to September each year. The Great Ocean Road, Halls Gap, Port Fairy and Warrnambool are all in an easy one hour drive. The Grampians National Park is a 10 minutes drive. To dine out in Dunkeld which is 9 km away, you have the choice of the Internationally known "Royal Mail Restaurant", 109 Cafe or Izzys.
  • My husband and I had a great time on Geraldine and Greg's farm. They were both very friendly and even showed us their farm and sheep. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. They even offered us to light a campfire which we did on both of our nights. All in all it was a great experience and we can highly recommend lazy acres.

  • Perfect host and wonderful family. Recommend this over the numerous other options in the area

    Cyril2015-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful authentic Australian farm stay. Greg and Geraldine are salt of the earth people who treated us like family. The accommodation is more that one for 2 and it's clean and well equipped. The farm has so many animals some that we interacted with were the dogs (including 5 week old puppies 👌) chickens and the calf. We intend on coming back soon for another stay!

  • Greg and Geraldine gave us a warm welcome and got us settled in quick. The place was small, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the farm tour by Greg the following morning.

    Justine2016-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • To experience the real outback farming life at the foot of one of the most grandiose landscape in Australia, you need to stay here. We discovered the art of raising sheep & cattle as well as working dogs, caring for the land and having a genuine fun. This listing does not caterer to luxurious travellers but what it lacks in creature comforts also makes it the best playground to explore and interact with farm animals as well as the Grampians. There is always something to do. Greg & Geraldine are superb hosts and their children are adorable. Greg was especially generous of his time showing us the ropes of his trade and helping us understand (we are city dwellers). We really really loved our stay and highly recommend spending a few days at Lazy Acres, especially if you are curious about farming, have a family or seeking for something out of the ordinary.

  • Thanks Sue, your info was thorough and helpful for a very smooth stay. Albeit our time was short, Gang Gang was just ideal for our much needed unwind in the evenings upon arrival after a rushed exit from Melbourne, and after a fantastic day walking the next day in readiness for our midnight exit! Nice, clean, warm and cosy - all the creature comforts we needed. Perfect!

  • Sue was very friendly and great in communicating all details, including recommending local places to eat. The venue was clean and well appointed for our weekend away. The bed was a bit firm for me but my hubby thought it was fine. would definitely recommend.

    Vicki2016-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's GangGang villa is great, we (group of 3 adults) stayed 2 nights and really could recharge our batteries!! The place is clean, lot of space, nice woodfire, lots of wildlife kangeroes and emus, kakatoos on your doorstep.

  • A fantastic place to stay for a relaxing restful weekend

    Candy2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sue made us very welcome via text messages. The cabin was perfect for our needs and spotlessly clean. There was wood for the heater (heat pump if you didn't want the heater). Good bed with electric blankets and well equipped kitchen. The scenery and walks in Halls Gap were brilliant and we were well fed and watered at the local pub and restaurants. Would definitely recommend Halls Gap.

  • Gang gang villa is a fantastic place to stay. It is very peaceful and comfortable villa. We had a wonderful few days break with our two kids and they loved it. The log fire is great and makes the place feel very homely. Thanks sue for the great communication and wonderful advice on where to eat and walks to do.

    Lorraine2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Suited us perfectly for a relaxing getaway as planned. Sue gave us excellent instructions for check in and what to see & do in the area. The villa was clean and family friendly, had everything we needed. Loved feeding the cockatoos off the verandah in the mornings & evenings. Located about 2km from main town centre but in the environment you’re in you want to be outdoors and we enjoyed the walks thoroughly. 2km the other way is a great walk early in the morning or on dusk to see some kangaroos & emus, we were even lucky enough to see an echidna.
