Britannia Pier is home to the Britannia Theatre which during the summer months features well known acts. Marine Parade in August 2013, with the derelict Empire Building in the foreground and the Atlantis Tower in the background Great Yarmouth’s seafront is known as “The Golden Mile”. Museum
“Time and Tide occupies the premises of the Tower Fish Curing Works, originally built c.1850 and enlarged in 1880. The works closed in 1988. The museum tells the story of Great Yarmouth and its herring industry and the lingering aroma of the smokehouse remains today. ”

“Apparently the last purpose built circus building in the UK. In our experience good clean family fun. Lots of talented acts. Sit in the front row and you are likely to get wet!”

“Great Yarmouth market has several stalls that sell cheesy chips, pretty much all day. This low end culinary treat comes with a choice of flavoured vinegars and a choice of peppers. Its not high art or very healthy, but its a lovely combo. ”

Museum
“The Nelson Museum is a Grade II listed Georgian merchant's house in Great Yarmouth where you can discover more about Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson and the times in which he lived. Explore Nelson's childhood in Norfolk, his career, famous battles and tragic, heroic death. Find out more about his mesmerising personality, his terrible wounds and his many illnesses, not to mention his complicated love life! Discover Life Below Decks, play ship's games or simply relax in the picnic area of the Maritime Courtyard and admire the new Georgian herb garden. Avoid the rats and beware of the cannon-fire in Below Decks, a recreation of a man-of-war. Try their hammock and play ship's games.”
