“Fort George is considered as the most important historical structure in St. George’s for its part in all the political and military changes that have taken place on the Island over the last three hundred years. Fort George characterises the imagery of the classic period of European bastioned fortifications and includes the parade, two barracks, a guardroom, gunpowder magazine, water cistern, Sally port and firing galleries. This original 18th century structure remains one of the finest examples of Vauban-style masonry fortresses in the world.”

“Annandale Falls are enclosed in a garden of green and a wall of rocks covered in soft ferns and other vegetation. A dip is most invigorating. Or simply revel in the beauty and sounds of the falls. Spend time in the surrounding gardens where tropical flowers and trees flourish and visit the Interpretation Centre”

“This Marina has a good restaurant offering a good menu for those who want a nice meal of delicious steak (not typical for Grenada) or Texas BBQ (yes, Texas) on their special weekly celebration or good local seafood or chicken dishes. It is relaxing and usually quiet (though not on BBQ night). Nice bar to visit with yachters and locals.”

“If you are a hiking enthusiast, and are considering a hike through the rain forest, then you should make the Seven Sisters Falls one of your destinations. This is not a very difficult hike, and it will take you through a private plantation where you will get the chance to see cocoa, nutmeg and banana trees and how they are grown. The hike to the falls only takes about 45 minutes, and you will pass through part of the rain forest to get there. If it has rained recently, the trail can get a little muddy, so it is advisable to wear something you are not particularly fond of. Of course, when the trail is muddy, it is also a lot more fun. ”
