“Brunch-goers needn't despair — The General Café has an ever-changing menu of seasonal eats and the best brew in town. Bäckerei
“The pies are delicious and the service is - memorable - at the world's best pies. You can take away, or eat your pie and drink your milkshake out the back in the overgrown garden, looking out over the cows in the paddock next door. Get in early if you want the full selection - they frequently run out of the popular pies on busy days, and anyone who asks for an unavailable pie gets short shrift indeed! ”

Café
“Our friend Carol runs the pantry, a sweet little cafe next to the Nostalgia factory. Her food is great and won't break the bank - nice after you've blown the weekend's budget at the General! Sit on the big communal table in the sunshine or at the romantic tables for two on the back verandah.”
