“In my opinion, this is the best night club in Miami, and one of the best in the country. LIV is situated in the heart of the world famous Fountain Bleau Hotel about a 10-15 drive north of south beach. World renowned DJ's are a nightly occurrence, and is the place to party until 5am”

“Adult admission: $10 Hours: Wednesday through Monday, 10am to 5pm The Bass Museum of Art is located in Miami Beach. Founded in 1963, it originally consisted largely of the donated private collection of local residents John and Johanna Bass, though it has since more than doubled in size and now includes pieces from a wide range of artists and donors. The permanent galleries reopened in late 2017 with a significantly expanded collection. Unfortunately, the expansion work came at a hefty cost that’s now passed on to the once-free museum’s customers. Check ahead for special exhibitions, most of which feature work from specific contemporary artists.”

“For elevated American comfort food. Great for breakfast, like the pork and beans with a fried egg and sourdough toast, or a gutsy New Orleans-style dish of shrimp and grits with bacon and Worcestershire barbecue sauce and house-made pastries and pies. Dinner is equally delicious with daily features: a rib item (short ribs, spare ribs, prime rib, etc); a "parm" (chicken, veal, pork, etc.) with angel hair pasta and res sauce; and a braised meat such as pot roast, oxtails, or pork shoulder, with "braising juices" and mashed potatoes.”

“The sushi bar at this Japanese/Peruvian fusion cafe fleshes out fish that is fresh and satisfying, if not distinctive enough to keep Nobu Matsuhisa awake at night. "Traditional" rolls (California, spicy tuna, eel-avocado) are pristinely presented, as are a dozen "specialty" rolls, nearly all of which wrap rice around shellfish. Ceviches are similarly pure and straightforward — try the yellowtail version, whose succulent squares of fish are refreshingly braced with citrus and ginger. The non-sushi/ceviche selections are also good, especially appetizers of fried oysters with brittle crusts and pudding-soft centers, as well as crunchy vegetable tempura. Moshi is a neat neighborhood restaurant whose ambiance and service are warmly welcoming, and the food affording excellent value.”

Amerikanisches Restaurant
“The Forge is one of South Florida's most legendary steakhouses, dating back to 1969. The award-winning restaurant is not your grandfather's steakhouse - although it once was. With its modern décor, ambiance and philosophy, The Forge has undergone a total makeover. The overall design and décor was executed by Francois Frossard. Walls of hand-carved blonde wood and antique mirrors, lilac and white crystal chandeliers and a cascading bubble wall are perfectly interspersed with the historical pieces that adorn the space. The open floor plan of the 6,000-square-foot space allows guests to see and be seen. Don't miss our Tomahawk steak, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Shrimp Cocktail and Soufflés. Take a tour of our Wine Cellar with eight-rooms devoted to the rarest vintages in the world, and even a secret, luxe private dining room, which seats up to 25 guests. Join us every Friday night for our Happy Hour, featuring $50 bottles of Veuve Clicquot Champagne and a DJ.”

“BRAZILIAN: "If you want to know what Brazilian drinking culture is about, stop on by. Especially during a soccer, er, futebol game." BEST FOR BRAZILIAN BECAUSE: While many prefer going to an upscale rodizio joint, if you want a truly authentic Brazilian food AND culture experience, it's Boteco all the way.”
