Amerikanisches Restaurant
“Hidden beneath the Earth's surface, only a few miles from West Virginia's highest peak, lie the beautiful Seneca Caverns - an underground wonderland! Visitors may set free their imaginations as they gaze upon one of the West Virginia's most famous and magnificent wonders. Seneca Caverns were first discovered and used by the Seneca Indians, one of the six tribes of the Iroquois Confederacy around 1400 AD. The Seneca Indians used the caverns for ceremonial ritual, as well as for refuge from harsh weather or enemy tribes. In 1742, European explorer Laven Teter re-discovered the entrace and began exploration of teh caverns interior. Commercial latern tours began in 1928! Open year around!”

“• Mo Fatz. Yes, this is an ice cream shop with a 50s décor, but also much more. The ice cream and sundaes are fantastic, and they also serve burgers, Panini-style sandwiches, great fries, wings (Thurs evening only) and popular weekly dinner specials each Saturday evening. Very casual with great, friendly service. 10 minutes away on Route 220, 2 miles south of Franklin. Open seasonally (spring through fall) Thurs – Sunday afternoons and evenings.”
