  • We had a wonderful time at Willow-Witt. Our camp hosts, Jillian and Buddy, were great. We came home two nights after late night shows to a fire already started in our tent. The farm tour was very interesting and the setting was beautiful. We enjoyed eating fresh farm food and the cooking space had everything we needed except for oil (which we purchased). The tent was clean and cozy and the bathrooms were clean as well.

  • Hosts were wonderful, we loved the property, the camps and the animals!

  • Charming way to camp! Loved the tent and the outdoor kitchen and outdoor shower. Indoor bathrooms were new and clean. Location was beautiful!

  • What a terrific experience!! Suzanne responded to our text quickly and provided directions in order to make our arrival easier. She was there to greet us and give us a proper orientation to her amazing farm. The pictures don't lie, the tents were private, clean and comfortable. Great in and outdoor showers just a few steps away. The meats available for purchase, picking your own vegetables and a terrific out door kitchen with all the necessities to prepare your farm to table dinner was an awesome and delicious experience.

  • Great place to stay very quiet and secluded area for those that want a weekend get away. All of the nature was worth this stay. The farm had beautiful, happy animals to pet.

    Erick2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • The ranch is a great place to be away from it all and learn more about farming and being eco-sensitive. We enjoyed getting to know our hosts. The tent area facilities are wonderful and we highly recommend this place. Glamping at its best!

    Dee2013-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Glamping at its FINEST! Beautiful tents, beautiful meadows surrounding you, and the nicest people. Outdoor showers! Outdoor and open kitchen! Heated water! The delightful sounds of crickets to lull you asleep and melodious birds to wake you in the morning! Fantastic 5 mile hike at Grizzly Peak not even 3 miles away! Seriously, this place couldn't be better for those that don't have or can't bring camping gear. You're still really apart of the nature surrounding you, but you're in a super comfy bed with the knowledge that you can take a hot shower in the morning after your incredibly exhausting day viewing the beauty around you. Stay here! Now! Do it!

    Beth2014-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Willow Witt Ranch over Memorial Day weekend and couldn't imagine a more beautiful, special place. The pictures really don't do it justice! We were met right when we arrived and shown the farm store and you-pick garden, and then Asher greeted us at the camp area where he showed us around the cookhouse, bath house, and to Redwing tent. The tent itself is amazing -- very comfortable beds, extra towels, a lantern, firewood and a woodstove that keeps the tent nice and warm at night. Redwing is closest to the cookhouse and bathrooms, but there's really no problem with noise or anything. The first night there, I slept almost 12 hours because it was so peaceful! The ranch has practically everything you need -- the farm store has meats/eggs/goats milk and emergency foodstuffs, the cookhouse is totally stocked with basic kitchen supplies, there's a bear box with coolers for your food (you can buy blocks of ice at the farm store that last an entire weekend), there are towels for your shower (indoor and outdoor showers!) and soap that's made on site, and of course, there's the surroundings which are breathtaking. If you want electricity or wi-fi though, the campsites don't have any (though that wasn't at all a problem for us). Asher was super friendly and helpful with ideas about surrounding areas (mountain lakes are only a short drive away) and any problem-solving, and the cookhouse is a nice place to meet and chat with other campers. We visited the farm store again before we left and stocked up on fresh meats and eggs to take home with us. I can't think of a thing I'd change about Willow Witt Ranch, and can't wait to return!

We are fortunate enough to live in this beautiful location and have more house than we need. Our location makes our home one of very few places to stay this close to Crater Lake National Park. If our home doesn't fit your travel plans, we recommend the Historic Prospect Hotel.
Crater lake is the sole reason we are able to have a successful Airbnb. 99, if not 100% of our bookings are folks visiting Crater Lake, along with the many other outdoor activities that go along with it.
  • Beautiful peaceful sweet relaxing, sweet and kind owners. Very pleased and content. Thank you Mike and Lisa. I just loved my stay here. Such a beautiful cabin, amazing atmosphere and the views are very peaceful. Such a relaxing stay. Lisa and Mike are super sweet and kind people. They had snacks for us and made us coffee in the morning. They had everything we needed and wanted. Wish I could stay here longer.

    Anna2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was not a residence it was an experience. Lisa's home is in an extremely remote rural area 45 minutes from the south entrance to Crater Lake National Park. It is set on 10 acres shared with two horses. The house is so unusual that it was worth the extra drive to and from the park daily just to stay here as opposed to staying at the hotel within the park. It looks like a log cabin mansion with extremely modern bathrooms and kitchen. The kitchen features a walk in refrigerator and high quality stove and pots. The backyard has a built in barbecue on which we grilled steak. Lisa and her daughter were extremely generous about sharing their space and accommodating our every need. For anyone interested in very unusual homes this is the place for you. If it is quiet and privacy you seek this is an ideal locale.

  • Prospect Lodge is an amazing place to stay. Quiet and comfortable with beautiful surroundings. Mike and Lisa are kind and generous hosts and great company for an evening by the fire.

    Rob2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Lisa were so kind and helpful! By far the nicest, cleanest and convenient BNB we've stayed in. Will be back for sure!

    Nizar2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Mike & Lisa made us feel welcome by having our names listed on our room door, a bottle of wine and chocolates in our room for our anniversary. Their daughter had removed a wasps nest from an outside Nema 14-50 outlet for our electric car and they had multiple options to charge our Tesla Model S. They allow use of the full kitchen and coffee was ready every morning at 7am. The listing was just as beautiful in person as in the pictures. The property is set back from the street which makes it very private. The neighborhood is made up of large acres of land with smaller houses and cattle or livestock. Lisa let us know there weren't many restaurant options in the area (and summer is high season) so we came with an ice chest which made for several perfect picnics by Crater Lake. The lodge stands out as one of the nicer and larger homes in the area. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back. The room we stayed in had natural ventilation near the ceiling to the hallway but we noticed the other rooms probably don't hear any hallway conversations as they are sealed from the upper loft. Cute sweet tiny dog Missy greeted us in the mornings and the rooms and bath were impeccably clean.

  • 非常非常非常喜欢的房子,推荐给好多朋友以后来,我以后也会再来的,好想念这一家人,非常非常好,还带我们去看瀑布,帮我很多忙,感谢

  • We came to Crater Lake during a fire, which, with all the pine trees, happens somewhat frequently. It didn't slow us down any. The fire rangers are really good at this. They shut down certain roads and do burn backs to contain the fires. It was smoky when we were there, but we lucked out and it rained at night and the next day we had spectacular views of Crater Lake! Mike and Lisa are amazing hosts and their home is spectacular, we couldn't have been happier! Thanks guys! You were so wonderful!!

    ann2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Lisa have a beautiful home and were great hosts. Options are slim around Prospect/Crater Lake but this is a great home base to get up to the park. Comfortable, clean, great scenery, and good communication!

  • This was a wonderful experience for us. What a impeccable, lovely and welcoming place to stay. Our hosts planned for every need of their guests and communicated very well. The only negative was that we couldn't linger longer.

  • Wow. What a wonderful weekend at the Meadow House. Dan and Barbara were so accommodating and welcoming. They were fantastic hosts whom truly care about the quality of your stay and really treats you like family. The house was gorgeous and very comfortable with everything you might need all set on picture perfect land. We enjoyed trails, horses, ponds, immense wildlife, and stunning views without even leaving the property! Barbara suggested many close by "must sees" and boy, they sure did not disappoint!! You can't beat the Meadow House for location and pure beauty! I would love to come back and stay at the Meadow House in the future and would highly recommend this place as it's a true treasure.

  • My family and I loved this house. It was a perfect location not too far from Crater Lake for hiking. It had all the kitchen amenities for cooking and beautiful wood work details that made the living room a delight to relax in. It was very clean and I wish we had stayed minimum 3 nights to spend an evening outside by the fire.

  • Red Blanket Cabin was amazing! It was nestled about 40 minutes outside Crater Lake and was just beautiful. Jesse left us perfect instructions on everything which made us feel right at home. We also loved all the effort he went through to make sure that his guests have a fantastic time while staying there. Even though we were only there for 2 days, we took advantage of the horse shoe pits, trails, an outdoor fireplace for dinner, and puzzles! He even left us a complimentary bottle of wine. We didn't want to leave and would definitely stay there again in a heart beat! Thank you, Jesse!

Red Blanket Cabin near Crater Lake
    10 Bewertungen
Lost Creek Cabin is nestled into one of the many nooks of the Crater Lake National Park region and Upper Rogue River area, this serene and spacious two-story log home is warm and cozy in winter, cool and relaxing in summer, and is beautiful year round. The Cabin is situated on 5 acres, one of the closest to Crater Lake National Park south entrance (34 miles), one mile from Lost Creek Lake (boating, fishing, and swimming recreation) and the Rogue River (known for world-class fishing and rafting)
An expansive wrap-around deck over-looks mountains and a valley below. It has two large bedrooms each with a queen bed and adjoining full bathrooms; one upstairs and one downstairs. Lofts provide additional sleeping areas with a full bed for extra guests. The fully equipped kitchen is open and spacious and was originally designed with a chef in mind. The dining room boasts views of woodlands, meadows, and wildlife as does the entire cabin. The comfy living room is a great place to relax after an active day out of doors and is extra comfy with the wood burning stove. The Cabin has a washer/dryer for guests’ convenience, and parking is abundant for those traveling with a boat or trailer. The property has hills behind, and a pristine view down into the valley overlooking the Canyon. Only one neighbor is visible on the hills behind. Visitors can walk (5 minutes) down the driveway to the picturesque Gorge on the Rogue River, take a peek, then have a bite and drink at the Gorge cafe and bar, before taking a short drive to one of the many natural wonders hiding in the Cascades. The Cabin is centrally located to the outdoor activities of the Upper Rogue River/ Cascade area which makes it convenient for sight-seeing, hiking, or just kicking back and relaxing in a beautiful wilderness setting.
Visiting the majestic Crater Lake National Park is one of the major draws to this part of the Cascades, but don’t miss Lost Creek Lake (just one mile from the Cabin) where each year visitors enjoy fishing, boating, water skiing and any number of lake activities and water sports. The Marina has a little cafe and boat rentals. For those river rascals among us, the property is located just a few hundred yards from the renowned Rogue River where, depending on the season, there are all different kinds of world-class fishing. River rafting and kayaking is another popular summer activity on a nearby stretch of the Rogue.

  • We loved the Reid apartment by the woods! Stayed there three nights and it was extremely clean, and comfortable, and one of those places that is better than the pictures show. The area is VERY quiet. There were so many little hikes around we never knew about, which was an added bonus to our main visit to Crater Lake. The small grocery store down the street was useful for a couple extra items. Laure and her husband are a pleasure to talk to. Overall you have all the privacy you could ever want. Highly recommended!

It is a little hidden but the owners were extremely helpful and hospitable with great tips and directions. Made our stay there very enjoyable. The place definitely served its purpose.

  • This was the perfect location to visit Crater Lake and enjoy the many beautiful scenic hikes in the area. Laure was very kind and shared with us all the planning details we would need in advance, from excellent directions to the hours of the local gas station and a wonderful map of walkable scenic sites and services in the area. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet. I hope we have the chance to go again!

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Laure's! We were so comfortable and loved the close location to Crater Lake. Laure communicated with us before we arrived to share detailed information on how to get to her home and left notes once inside so we knew the ins and outs of the house! There were even fresh and beautiful flowers upon our arrival. Laure's husband, David, even dropped what he was doing to show us the trail to a local waterfall in town! Truly a wonderful experience and many thanks to Laure!

    Amy2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Laure's home in Prospect, Oregon. It is near hiking trails and waterfalls, and a short drive from several good trails along the Rogue River in the National Forest. It is about 40 minutes from Crater Lake National Park. Overall, it is a good location! Laure is very kind and helpful-- she is a really sweet person! We felt welcome, but she was careful to let us be on our own! This apartment is quiet and feels like a separate "cabin"-- it's not too close to their living space. She has great recycling containers, all carefully marked. She provides maps and ideas about hikes. We highly recommend this apartment for a lovely visit to the region!

The beds, couches and outdoor seating were comfortable and the linens luxuriously soft. Rick and Brooke were super-helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely home on a rural setting, quiet with an awesome view. This is a country home on a few acres. There is approximately 1/2 mile of gravel to drive on with a steep driveway before the house. I realized that my home has a view therefore I'm making my home available due to the high volume of folks wanting to watch the eclipse.

Large private master bedroom with balcony, beautiful tile bathroom, brand new queen size bed, brand new flat screen TV with Roku, and roomy walk in closet. The Shasta room is our largest room and is very spacious. We are very commited to delivering a special experience to our guests!
We are fortunate to live in this beautiful location and have more house than we need. Our location makes our home one of very few places to stay this close to Crater Lake National Park. If our home doesn't fit your travel plans, we recommend the Historic Prospect Hotel.
Crater lake is the sole reason we are able to have a successful Airbnb. 99, if not 100% of our booking are folks visiting Crater Lake, along with many other outdoor activities that go along with it.
  • My friend and I decided to take a last minute road trip in beginning of September from San Francisco to Portland. We decided to spend a night near Crater Lake along the way up north and Mike & Lisa's place was absolutely perfect. Their home is unbelievably beautiful and spacious and even larger than their pictures. The night we arrived, we took their advice of getting a fresh take & bake pizza from their locally-owned store and had a wonderful experience cooking in their full-access kitchen. Mike & Lisa were very accommodating and friendly and helped us feel welcomed inside their home. During the night my friend and I took a stroll through their backyard, where we saw deer grazing close by and a million vivid stars glistening above. At the end of our stay, we didn't want to leave! Mike was also nice enough to tell us about a scenic route we could take from Crater Lake to Portland that passed 24 waterfalls along the route. Although this Airbnb stay was only one night, it was definitely a highlight of our road trip.

  • My husband and I stayed one night at Mike & Lisa's beautiful home in order to drive to Crater Lake the next day. The proximity is ideal for this purpose and Prospect has a small store and gas station for basic necessities. The area and home are picturesque. Mike, Lisa, and family are wonderful hosts and our stay was wonderful. We used their gas grill and kitchen to make dinner and they were so helpful in giving us a tour and showing us where everything was located. We stayed in the master bedroom on the top floor with an attached bath, and they also have two other rooms available which share a bathroom. The home was clean, well decorated and comfortable. I did experience mild allergies during my stay but I am extremely sensitive to laundry detergents and fragrances. I would highly recommend this spot to others! If we're ever in the area, I would stay again!

  • We had a wonderful stay here! Mike and Lisa were fabulous hosts and their home is beautiful. My friend and I stayed in the Shasta room. The room itself was spacious and homey, not to mention beautifully decorated. We had a really nice private bathroom and a cute little balcony to sit out on. The rest of their home is gorgeous too - I loved their kitchen particularly!! Mike and Lisa were great hosts and made sure to provide us with everything we'd need during our stay. They provided us with restaurant recommendations for the area and gave us details instructions to get to their house, which was helpful and much appreciated since we weren't familiar with the area and neither of us had cell service! Unfortunately, my friend and I got in late and had to leave early the next morning to head back to Portland. I really wish we could've spent more time there! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area - I will definitely be back next time we're visiting. Thank you Lisa and Mike!

  • Mike and Lisa were very welcoming and warm. They invited us to dinner with their friends when we arrived after the local restaurants had closed. Our room was spacious, comfortable and private. The bathroom was clean, well-stocked, and had amazing coconut oil natural soap. While the weather was rainy and cold during our stay, we were very comfortable and warm inside the lodge. We ventured out to the back porch to enjoy our coffee (provided by Lisa). This was a wonderfully homey lodge in woods experience.

    Derek2015-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Lisa have a gorgeous home. We stayed in the Shasta room and it was very nice. It's very large and has a nice spacious bathroom. The home is off the beaten path and quite a ways from Crater Lake, but it is beautiful and a very peaceful setting. Mike and Lisa gave us great suggestions on where to eat in the area and were very helpful.

    Susannah2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What more could be said? From the warm & inviting greeting (upon our later than expected arrival), to the spacious & luxurious accommodations; our experience was nothing short of great. Mike & Lisa provided a wonderful overall experience during our Crater Lake adventures. Thanks again for the dining recommendations! Only problem I could think of was availability, so book early.

    Casey2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a wonderful experience! It was my parents' first time using Airbnb, and it was a total success. Lisa was wonderful to talk to. It is about 40 minutes to Crater Lake, but there are also a ton of little hikes nearer that are wonderful.

    Emily2015-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome stay! Very fun and friendly host. Had a bottle of wine for us in our room. I looked at every place near by Crater Lake and this was the best one! Very clean and we saw some deer in the front yard. Nice scenic view of a mountain. Nice drive after Crater Lake, passes by Beckie's diner, which has very good burgers (Sometimes busy). Then next to Beckie's diner is the trails to see old lava tubes and Rouge river gorge. Near this house was another good and easy hiking trail near the Prospect store to see a waterfall. They even let us cook breakfast before we left. Highly recommended.

Creekside Retreat is a wonderful private getaway perfect for singles or couples. Close to Crater Lake National Park and located on the banks of Big Butte Creek.
Guests will enjoy their private suite with views of Big Butte Creek. It is located in a park like setting complete with an outdoor fireplace and dining areas. Sit and relax in peace and quiet on the banks of the creek. It is truly a picturesque setting. Beginning in September, Big Butte Creek becomes a salmon spawning habitat. This is truly a unique sight to behold!

2 BDR, 2 Ba. Country Cabin / Highway 227 by Shady Cove Or. on 700+ feet of Trail Creek front! 2 queen bedrooms +queen sleep sofa and single roll out bed. Woodland views, big Hot Tub and infrared fireplace! Yes we have AC and central heat. Dogs welcome. 5 Min. to Rogue River fishing, 1 hr to Crater Lake National Park.
You will love this beautiful 2 bedroom (+queen sleep sofa), two bath country cabin just off hwy 227 on over 700 feet of trail creek front! The master bedroom has a huge pine log queen bed, charming antique library table writing area, lounge sofa and it's own lovely pine bathroom with a soaking tub. The oak bedroom is charming and colorful with a big queen pine sleigh bed and oak leaf decor. For additional guests the big red sofa in the living room folds out to become a queen size bed. I recently finished the mantel for the infrared fireplace in the living room - which makes it oh so cozy and romantic! The kitchen is fully functional, bright and pleasant. It has a new propane range and big ss refrigerator as well as a microwave. A Mr. Coffee and coffee presses are on hand as well as a nice counter top pancake grill, waffle iron, blender and crock pot! Your coffee and all kinds of tea are already here! There is a propane grill outside the backdoor on the back porch. The large fire pit, at the far end of the yard makes a great gathering place for visiting and cooking marshmellows and such. You will love the BIG deep star view Cal Spa HOT TUB. Stretch out and turn on the jets or share the view with a friend or two or five... It's located in the oak grove, just across the drive way and behind the shop. Follow the solar lights and take the flash light - hanging next to the front door. I highly recommend the seasonal 'pool', more of a cool dip_ in the creek for a quick cool down - about 150 steps from the front porch. (May - early August and Late September - October) Take one of the big soft bath sheets with you! Between November and April - it may look more like a river than a creek... The entire cabin from the handcrafted shutters to the plentiful art is beautiful and comfortable. We have central air and heat as well as a very realistic infrared fire place for the charm and romance factor... and the creek and grounds are truly awesome! I love a creek like a 7 year old does and this one is super fun! It has a very wide smooth slate rock base with deep channels and pools. In the winter and spring it looks like a river but it dwindles with the warmer weather and you can walk right out on it and play between the deeper flows - until it almost stops completely in late August to return with the first September rains...nice and full now in April and every thing is green and gold again! Enjoy lots of cool reptiles, water lizards, turtles, crayfish, frogs and small fish... Elsewhere on the grounds you will spot deer, turkeys, rabbits and such. Right now a pair of wild geese are nesting right across the creek from the pump house. Kids and dogs love it here! We have hundreds of feet of historic rock walls, oak and pine groves interspersed with maples, mountain ash, manzanita, madrone, cedar and mountain scenery. The spring and fall colors are breathtaking! This is an optimal base location for hunting, fishing, rafting, hiking or cross country skiing. You will be less than 10 minutes from Shady Cove, Oregon and five minutes from the Rogue River. Take a Hike to Mills Creek Falls just east of Lost Creek Lake with just a 20 min drive through some of the prettiest country you will ever see! In 1 hour you can be at a play at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival a Jacksonville Britt Festival show, an Umpqua waterfall hotspring or incomparable Crater Lake! You may however like it right here so well you will just stay put and relax. Dozens of varieties of wild flowers grow right here on the grounds along the creek and trails and in the meadow. Coffee, creamer and a large selection of herbal and traditional teas are included. Check in 3PM and check out is 12 noon. Come on down - everyone will love it here.
My favorite thing about the neighborhood is - there is none - we are in the country. One neighbor has 5 acres, one has 30 acres and one has 20 acres. Nice people.
  • This cabin was great. It was in a perfect location for visiting Crater Lake. It was very clean and nice. Our dog enjoyed snooping around the property too! We had a great time.

  • Diane was a wonderful host. The place was ideal if you are looking for a quiet get away. The hot tub is great; you can start a fire; there is a picturesque stream behind the house. The house itself is spacious, clean, with 2 comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and pretty much anything you might need for a weekend. We used it as a base from which to visit Crater Lake NP, which was a bit less than 1 hour away. The nearby town had groceries, and a few quaint restaurants.

    Richard2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Diane was there to meet us upon arrival. The house was clean and well stocked. Hot tub was great and definitely a selling point for us. The home is in an area without reception for most cell phones and the wifi was barely working, so it's perfect if you want to be remote, though may be inconvenient if you want to stay connected, play music from online, etc.

    Katie2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Diane was a wonderful host, very kind and quick to respond to all of my questions. We really appreciated that she was able to accommodate our late check-in time and went extra lengths to make sure we received the House Manual despite some technological difficulties. The cabin is conveniently located near tons of outdoor fun - rafting, hiking, biking, you name it! If you don't feel like venturing out, the creek in the backyard is perfect for exploring (and cooling off on a hot day!) At night, you can see practically every star in the sky - its amazing! Its clear that Diane pays attentions to all the little details - the house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. She also left us information about the area and a few snacks and coffee to enjoy during our stay. We had a great time and highly recommend this space!

  • We stayed here to explore southern and central Oregon as a family. With all of the fires surrounding Crater Lake right now, we will need to return again so we can actually see the lake. We ended up spending a day at the nearby Lost Creek Lake reservoir and watched the fire rescue planes grab water to bring to the fire fighting efforts. Pretty fascinating. The cabin and the creek next to it made for some good moments of exploration for our kids. They caught frogs, played in the water and snacked on some tomatoes from the garden. The place was the perfect size for our family of 4 to relax in when we were not out exploring the surrounding areas. We appreciated all of the family games to play together too!

    Keely & Josh2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nicely stocked and charming! We had very a comfortable stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.

    Betsy2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Dianne was a great host! She had baked us fresh cornbread and the place was clean and welcoming! We stayed for two nights and enjoyed stargazing in the hot tub after a snowy day of snowshoeing at Crater Lake! Hope to return this summer to enjoy all the nearby attractions!

    Sarah2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house was in great shape, and in a great location. Our toddler loved exploring the yard and walking in the dry creek-bed (it was almost completely dry in mid-September, except for a few small pools, but I bed it is really nice in the wetter seasons, too!) The cabin is close enough to Crater Lake National Park to make a day-trip there. It was also great just relaxing at the cabin for a day.

Hoot Owl Estates is 8 miles upriver from Shady Cove on Hwy 62/Crater Lake Hwy in Trail, Oregon. Nestled on 5 acres of spectacular river frontage you will be staying in a private space feet away from the banks of the mighty Rogue River. A great option for those "Day Trippers" visiting Crater Lake we are just 45 minutes away. We are 20 minutes from Union Creek, 2.5 hours from Bend and only 30 minutes from Medford Airport. The Hoot Owl has it all. A picture is worth a 1000 words so take a look!
Your space at the Hoot Owl has a SmartTV, cable, wifi, a full kitchen, microwave and a living room and dining space. You can comfortably sleep 2 adults (1 double bed) in the master bed room and 2 children or young adults in the loft space. (2 twin beds)
What neighbors? We don't have neighbors, unless of course, you consider bald eagles or osprey neighbors? Be prepared for some relaxation, solitude and peace and quiet. You can always hear the Rogue River from the cabin and in the summertime you can actually hear the salmon splashing around on their journey up the Rogue to spawn when you drift off to sleep. What a amazing way to end your day! Please be aware that we DO NOT advise our guest go swimming at the Hoot Owl. The Upper Rogue River is exceptionally cold and swift and despite the urge to jump in due to the hot weather the river can be very dangerous. Because the Hoot Owl is a famous fishing hole it is not uncommon to find old hooks in the rocks and on the grounds so we recommend that when outside everyone (especially young children) wear shoes at all times. Crater Lake National Park is a major attraction of the Upper Rogue River region and easily accessible from the Hoot Owl. It takes about 45 minutes and is a direct drive to the Park entrance on Hwy 62/Crater Lake Hwy. You should always check the Crater Lake Webcam for up to date conditions. https://www.nps.gov/crla/learn/photosmultimedia/webcams.htm When looking for other things to do in the area we recommend you visit the Cole River Fish Hatchery, the 2nd largest hatchery in Oregon, which is 10 minutes away. This is a spectacular place to visit to learn of the life cycle of the varied flora and fauna of the area. With the Rogue River too cold to swim your best option is Lost Creek Reservoir which is the water source of the Rogue River, and located just above the hatchery. There you can visit the marina and find information to rent equipment to enjoy most any lake related activity. The area is also full of amazing hiking trails to explore as well. If you have the time we suggest you try to visit Ashland, just 50 minutes away, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival which is one of the largest and oldest professional non-profit theatre companies in the US. Additionally there are many local vineyards, shops and tourist attractions along the way which adds to the amazing character and ambiance of the area.
  • Absolutely beautiful location. Owners quick to respond to any issues. Hope to return someday.

  • If you are looking for a waterfront cabin on the Rogue, Shaun & Romi's Hoot Owl is ideal. The cabin is located on a secluded bend in the river that feels very private and more remote than it actually is, yet it is an easy 10 minute drive into town. Shaun was very easy to communicate with and generous with local fishing info. We had a great time and will very likely be back next year.

    Greg2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The location on the Rogue River was beautiful. The sound of the river very soothing and wonderful to fall asleep to. The location about 45 minutes from Crater Lake was also great. The Lake is spectacular. The space was comfortable and met all our needs.

    Jim2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay. We were close enough for a day trip to Crater Lake but being right on the river was the best. Very relaxing and loved watching the rafters go down the river and the fish jumping out of the water. We decided to go down the river in a raft and we had a blast. I would recommend this rental anything.

    Michelle2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • It's beautiful, cozy, with AC, super quiet and next to the river. What more ? It's just perfect. The bedroom is tiny but if you're normal sized it's not a problem at all.

    Ludo2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Hoot Owl. The location is incredible - the Rogue rushing so close by. The campfire setup was our favorite part - stocked with cedar. We would very gladly stay here again!

    Ryan2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly a fisherman's paradise! It is literally on the banks of the Rogue River, one of America's great salmon, trout, and steelhead fishing spots. There is a nice picnic and fire grill arrangement by the river that makes for a nice place to sit and watch the rafts and boats float by, have a cookout, or just relax. Shaun was very easy to communicate with during several pre-arrival contacts.

    Young Hee & Jeff2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Hoot Owl was perfect for our family of three. We enjoyed being able to fish, play horseshoes, or just relax by the fire. The river water was great to sit by and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and fall asleep to at night. The Hoot Owl is located in the perfect location between Crater Lake and all sorts of outdoor activities.

  • Sandy's place was perfect and she was a great host. The house was updated, clean, and conveniently located 25 minutes from the Medford airport. The property was beautiful with a wonderful backyard that has a deck, fire pit, and lovely view of the Rogue. We would definitely stay here again.

  • A great location on the beautiful Rogue River for our fishing and hiking trip. A lovely place with great amenities and Sandy is a terrific host!

    Mary2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful home as described, although more spacious than we were expecting. The house is new, clean, darling, and very comfortable. There is a large river right in the backyard with chairs and a bench to relax. (Watching the water is mesmerizing.) We used the fire pit to roast hotdogs and Smore's and talk into the night. It is also a great home base to explore the area, and we were especially interested in Crater Lake NP. The park and lake are, of course, spectacular! Sandy is a great host--attentive and friendly. Our only regret is that we couldn't spend more time here!

    Mark2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome house! You won't regret to live here. The river is just in the back of the house, very pretty and nice. Rafting on the rogue river is the best experience, definitely need to do that. Sandy is the best host, don't hesitate to ask her question!

    hao yu2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • I was the first guest ever to stay in Sandy's new home on the river. It was one of my best experiences through airbnb, which I use often. Her house is absolutely beautiful and she was painstaking in wanting to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I need. The river along the back side of the house was incredibly soothing and breathtaking. The house does sit on the highway, but I really never noticed the noise. At night when I would go to sleep I could hear it, but it didn't interfere with my sleep and I actually slept longer there than I ever do at home. The whole experience couldn't have been nicer. The way she is decorated her home with such pride and care was not like most rental places. It was as if it was her own home. She was a couple houses down if I needed anything. Her neighbor(also her tenant in the house next door) was even kind enough to lend me some fishing poles and sat out there on the river with me trying to catch them. I do hope that Sandy fills up her house with vacation guests all summer long. It is a great location and a perfect home. I highly recommend it to everyone. Also, it was spotless.

    Ilene2017-04-09T00:00:00Z

  • This home on the Rogue River was a lovely stopover for our family traveling through Oregon. Sandy was a perfect host. The home includes everything one could need including condiments in the fridge. There were extra thoughtful touches such as outlet safety covers as we had a 10 month old along. The view of the river was great. It was fun watching folks float, raft and fish on by the house. The beds were super comfy and the new AC kept the home at a perfect temp. We highly recommend this house.

  • Sue is an amazing host, and her dog Max is adorable. The outside of the trailer now has a cute patio with an amazing view. The shower is little but manageable. Please read the description on the photos, I didn't and brought so much stuff that was included, such as towels, soap, and dishes. I highly recommend staying here.

  • Sue came through for us since we were coming home from watching the eclipse and our other hotel option fell though and we check out this room about 10 pm that night and it was open and she got right back to us.

    Scott2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • If you like nature, Sue's place is great to stay. The trailer is small ask Sue before you booked your itinerary. She is a great host. We especially enjoyed her garden (many vegetables, plants, chickens, swimming pool, hot tub, and bee hives. Great view as well.

  • Sue was creative, thoughtful, and kind in her job as a host. The camper is very small, but her heart is very large. She met us for dinner at a nearby restaurant and we enjoyed sharing stories. The hot tub was a great bonus.

  • We had a nice stay in the ladybug hideaway, it was very small but it had everything we needed...the little kitchen was well equipped . It was a bit further away from crater lake as we thought but the things to visit that Sue suggested on the way up there were very nice !! THanks Sue!

Enjoy a large bedroom with en-suite bath and private balcony overlooking the Rogue River located in the Cascade Mountains in Southern Oregon. Crater Lake is a 45-minute drive away. Vineyards, hiking trails, waterfalls, and forest nearby.
A modern, two-story home built with the comfort of guests in mind. Located in a very rural area, it is a perfect place to read and meditate, or use as a place to sleep between drives to Crater Lake and surrounding natural resources. The Ashland Shakespeare Festival is an 75-minute drive away. There are several vineyards with wine-tasting rooms within a 30 mile radius.
The view from our home is spectacular. You will enjoy clean air from the surrounding forest and will hear the sounds of birds and wildlife, including foxes and coyotes. The altitude is about 2300 feet. Summers are quite warm and dry in the daytime but cools to about 55 degrees at night making for wonderful sleeping.
  • Ann and Susan are the perfect hosts. Their space is truly splendid. The breakfast each day was delicious and gave me energy to explore. Crater Lake is close by which makes this an ideal place to stay if Crater Lake is on your agenda. Everything I experienced during my stay was better than expected.

  • Ann and Susan have a great home. They made us feel very welcome. There location was great for getting to and from Crater Lake. The view from the balcony was amazing. The food that they provided was great.

  • Our stay at Rogue's Roost was wonderful. We stayed in this location to visit Crater Lake and enjoy the hiking and views in the area. Ann and Susan's home is beautiful and the our room was perfect with a one-of-kind view of the Rogue River and forest around it. Ann had so many great tips for our visit and prepared a delicious breakfast each morning. The Prospect area is a small community with limited cell phone, dining, and gasoline options so plan ahead. We had dinner in town twice and found the options at Beckie's and Prospect Pizza sufficient and tastey. The local residents were very friendly and we enjoyed visiting with them.

  • Ann and Susan are the best hostesses you will ever find. It was delightful to stay with them, to enjoyed their beautiful home, and to sample the wonderful food. They had great recommendations for local hikes and wineries. We will definitely stay with them again if we are in the area. Thanks again for everything including the wonderful weather!! • Ann and Susan made my wife, Kate and I feel incredibly welcomed and comfortable before and during our stay. They have ruined us for future airbnb experiences I'm afraid! (: They have a very beautiful home!

  • Ann and Susan's place is fabulous! Look no further, this is the place. Stunning views of the river, a beautiful home in every way. Ann was away and Susan was our lovely host, we so enjoyed our time with her. We opted to have dinner there which was delicious, as was breakfast in the morning. We were here to see Crater Lake and the home is conveniently located for that. Can't say enough good about this place or our host, just so enjoyable, personal, and relaxing!

    Claire2016-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • An exceptionally memorable experience to say the least! Aside from the prime location of Crater Lake and being cradled in between breathtaking views of Mother Nature, Ann and Susan designed the home on their own! The home is designed with high ceilings, fireplaces, heated bathroom floors (gasp!) and a backyard and balcony with breathtaking views. This home has a very warm, lodge-like Victorian feel and I couldn't be happier with my decision to stay here. My boyfriend and I are newer to AirBnB so naturally we were apprehensive and were unsure as to what the experience might be like. Ann and Susan were welcoming and helpful by offering us a glass of red wine after a 12 hour drive from Seattle then breakfast to grab and go in the morning along with a roadmap and helpful directions for the remainder of our road trip down to Southern California. They also provide local dinner suggestions with detailed information along with their great hospitality and good company. When we are back in the area, we cannot wait to stay with them again; highly recommend!

    Nicole2015-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ann and Susan's place is an oasis in a beautiful landscape. The view from the room is stunning and they've equipped the house with everything you could possibly need. Susan cooked us a delicious meal so that we didn't have to brave the scarce restaurant options nearby. Highly recommend staying here! Ann and Susan will make your Oregon experience special

  • This little nugget in Eagle Point was the perfect place to stay between home and the beach. We slept like babies in the "purple" room on a very comfortable mattress and enjoyed the generous hospitality of our host. Great selection of movies to watch and close to a great little Mexican restaurant called Juan's.

  • WE LOVED CORI'S PLACE!!! This was a great place to stay for our trip to Crater Lake. The space was large and the bedroom was air conditioned (which was great for the hot temps the area was experiencing). Nice kitchen with drinks in the fridge which was appreciataed after a long day of hiking! We enjoyed the sunset 2 nights there sitting outside; drinking wine! The washer and dryer were awesome to be able to use after days on the road. Although we didn't meet Cori, we spoke on the phone and texted for the check in...which was super easy! There are restaurants and a Walmart within a few miles. If you are looking for a space to base yourselves for trips to Crater or the surrounding area....STAY AT CORI'S AIR BnB!!!!!!!

My place is close to Crater Lake National Park, Sky Lakes Wilderness, Crater Lake Zipline, Upper Klamath Lake and so much more. You’ll love my place because of the views, the outdoors space, the location, the ambiance, and the people. My place is good for multi-generational families (with kids), big groups, small groups, folks looking for privacy and being close to nature, and those with furry friends (pets).
Often guests' first response when they walk in the front door: "Oh wow, this has such a great vibe! This feels like home!" That is the best compliment I routinely get. Guests love playing in a commercial kitchen, ALL the bathrooms, and the incomparable views...but most of all, they love the relaxed, private and cozy feeling. You and your family/friends can just be yourselves. The surrounding area is rural and rustic, and yet invites year-round exploration. Often guests have come to this area because of Crater Lake, and then realized there are a TON of other sights to see, places to visit and things to do for all ages. Our area has everything from a Children's Museum to the famed Favell Museum of Western Art and Indian Artifacts, pow-wows to pontoon boats, festivals to trail riding to concerts and evenings with the stars so close you can reach up and touch the Milky Way. Who isn't Crystalwood Lodge and Crater Lake's Backyard good for? This is NOT a good location for people who want: * To bar hop and party till the sun comes up * To find underground raves and dance scenes * Looking for the ultimate trendy urban experience * People who don't want to take responsibility for taking care of the space and environment, picking up after themselves and leaving a place better than you found it * Need an all inclusive "club med" type experience where your every waking moment is filled to capacity with pre-planned activities * Blast super loud music all night long, just because they can * Aren't interested in exploring a bit off the beaten path and devising their own unforgettable experiences In short, our area just outside Crater Lake (what we call Crater Lake's Backyard) and our property in particular (Crystalwood Lodge) is PERFECT for people looking to slow down, unplug as much as desired, rejuvenate with natural amenities like clean mountain air, stunning skies and sunrises/sunsets and the best water you've ever tasted (from our original hand-dug homestead well - quarterly tested for purity yet designed and purified by nature to be the way water was supposed to be). If you want to step into the space of your true neighbors - hundreds of species of birds, plants and animals - and reconnect/strengthen the important relationships in your life - this is the primo location to do just that.
My neighbors are the elk, squirrels, racoons, trout, hawks, coyotes and dozens of bird species, especially the cliff swallows that nest on 3 sides of the lodge. My nearest human neighbors are 1.5 miles to the north, or 7 miles to the south, so plenty of privacy whether you're seeking a commune with nature, an intimate wedding or a celebration with family and friends. The nearby communities of Rocky Point, Fort Klamath and Chiloquin feature local flavor: restaurants, galleries, small groceries and gift shops, parks, museums, local events and other attractions.
  • Amazing secluded beautiful old home. The commercial kitchen is a cooks dream. The walk in refrigerator is such a bonus. The fact that almost every room has its own shower should be first on the list of amenities this place provides. Just stock up on groceries so you don't have to leave paradise. We had all of our dogs with us as well. Off leash the entire time. She even provides doggie blankets to put on your bed so Fido can still sleep with his buddies. I wouldn't ask for a single thing to change. It was peaceful and stunningly beautiful

    Lindsay2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place for our large family to relax and enjoy time together. It's very peaceful. You can go for walks, rent the boats, relax inside, explore the surrounding area, etc. our teenage children did not get bored. It easily accommodated our group of 16. We loved the walk-in fridge!

The private Ranch "Bunkhouse" sits on a meadow near the horse paddocks & barn w/ views of valley, mountains, & access to gorgeous woodsy hiking trails. It's an up-dated large (20X40) open studio/bedroom w/ kitchenette & private bathroom (clawfoot shower/tub). A king-sized bed & an extra twin canopy bed if you have a 3rd traveling with you all in one room. The "Bunkhouse" retains the rustic charm of the original ranch Bunkhouse but inside it enjoys a bit of new country comfort style.
The ranch is located 2 1/2 miles (west) outside of the little town of Prospect, near the Rogue River, Lost Creek Lake, and a couple of miles from the beautiful Barr Creek, Mill Creek and Pearsony Falls, and 28 miles to the Crater Lake National Park south entrance. It's on the beautiful scenic side of Crater Lake National Park along the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway. The Bunkhouse is a tranquil and comfy retreat after a day of Southern Oregon recreation. Perfect for solos, couples or with a plus one. Also on the ranch is the horse barn, owner's home, a vacation rental house, and out-buildings, 2 large ponds, and loads of trails (100 acres plus) to explore and wildlife to view.
No neighbors in view. Just us, the horses, dogs, deer, elk, foxes, owls, ducks, geese, and one other guest vacation rental nearby (behind the BunkHouse) that you share the property with. The nearby small town of Prospect has a Pizza Parlor, gas station, post office, library, historic Hotel, Prospect Cafe (open seasonally) and small country market -Prospect Market, and Gorge Cafe. Prospect also boasts three beautiful waterfalls. It's known for wilderness hiking and fishing in the Rogue River. Lost Creek Lake is 10 minutes west. Up the Highway, about 12 miles, is Beckies Cafe (good country cooking and local berry pies). It's the perfect stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the way and way back from the Crater Lake National Park.

  • The pictures of this accommodation attracted us right off. The bunkhouse is a beautiful place to stay! Super clean and very comfortable. Barbara made us feel welcomed and was the perfect host especially in quickly responding to questions via text. The bunkhouse was well stocked with anything we needed - including Kleenex! I would gladly recommend this accommodation to friends and would be delighted to stay here again!

  • This is a great getaway. Right on the edge of the national park entrance and beautiful property. Barbara is very helpful. Would recommend to friends and family. You do get cell reception so it's not totally cutting yourself off from nature so it's the best of both worlds.

We wanted a place to escape the hustle and bustle and retreat into the wilderness to make lasting memories with family and friends. This is a retreat for all seasons! Experience the beauty and wonder of the wilderness. Take a walk, go for a hike, swim, paddle around the lake, catch frogs, go fishing, chase butterflies and enjoy nature. When the weather cools, come into the warmth of the cabins for games, food, puzzles, reading and movies. Relax and enjoy!
We hope you feel comfortable and cozy in our home designed for relaxing. A special game room and sleeper loft for the kids makes this ideal for big families. The deck overlooking the lake adds to the peacefulness of this getaway.
We have some of the best restaurants available very close by! Herriman Springs Lodge is approximately 5 miles away, along with Rocky Point Resort, both of which are DELICIOUS! In the Summer months, you can enjoy outdoor concerts and movies while grabbing a bite to eat at Lake of the Woods Resort only 15 miles away. Crater Lake is only a 30 minute drive to the North along the base of the Cascades.
  • Our family loved Karli’s sizeable ranch home. There was plenty of room for everybody and an open floorplan that enabled everyone to be together in the shared space. The private lake was extra peaceful and the kids enjoyed making smores at the rustic lakeside fire pit. Karli is definitely a Superhost! She even kept us informed of weather conditions at Crater Lake to be sure we packed correctly. The check-in and check-out process could not have been easier. Our only regret was not staying longer. We are already looking forward to a return visit.

  • The Cherry Creek Ranch was fantastic. We stayed with 9 guys for a fishing trip and I don't think we could have found a better location. The house was comfortable and spacious. We had a great time fishing in the lake. Karli and her family were accommodating and welcoming. I would highly recommend the Cherry Creek Ranch to anyone and I hope I can go back again with my wife and family.

  • Karli and her family are wonderful hosts. They were responsive, very knowledgeable about the area, and accommodating to our early check in and other asks. The house is extremely spacious with a lot of beds and sleeping spaces. There is a private lake literally right behind the house. Karli encouraged us to take advantage of the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, etc., which we definitely did. They also have a garden in front where they grow herbs and vegetables. Karli encouraged us to even use some herbs from the garden! However, the pipes may be a bit older because we could smell the copper in the water when we were showering.

I felt completely comfortable asking the host questions and enjoyed the solitude of the ranch. Crater lake isn't far and we were able to go and enjoy it's beauty. Would love to come back and visit again!

  • Wonderful house located near Crater Lake! We had an incredibly enjoyable weekend at Karli's house with our family and friends. The property fit 8 people comfortably, with lots of space throughout. Super clean, and well maintained interior. There is a lot of room to relax, a great kitchen to cook in, games/tv for enjoyment, and a great backyard deck overlooking a peaceful lake. Updated interior and appliances made bringing and cooking our meals super easy. Outdoor grill was perfect for grilling. We had a great time bonding and traveling to Crater Lake. Can't wait to come back and relax in this charming house!

This is the original McAuliffe Ranch House in this pristine and beautiful valley just 22 miles south of Crater Lake National Park. The property is 64 acres and borders a mile and a half of the Wood River. It was run as a bed and breakfast for over 20 years and Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter were guests as well as many other celebrities over the years. The property is beautiful and serene and offers many activities.
Everything you need for your stay is here. Utensils, pots and pans, linens, and firewood. The area offers fishing, skiing, hiking, zip line course, boating, canoeing, bike riding, exploring, bird watching, horseback riding, biking, golf, snowmobiling, and photography to name a few.
The town could be described as "lost in time". There may be 12 permanent residences in the town. It is quaint and looks abandoned in town however there is an organic grocery store with a large assortment of organic provisions, beer, wine, etc and they provide an organic deli with espresso drinks. However the ranch is 22 miles south of Crater Lake. There are boat rentals and deck dining at Rocky Point which is on upper Klamath Lake 20 miles away. Horseback riding, hiking, climbing, boating, fishing, Oregons first Army fort, rodeo, bird watching, full moon canoe tours and so much more await you in this area of unsurpassed beauty!
  • While the overall experience was fun and homey, there was a lot of trash before we got there, the dishes were dirty, the couch was stained, and the bathrooms were stained. Additionally, the host was abrupt and hard to communicate with when there was some confusion. The home was cozy and good for a weekend, but would not stay again.

  • Our own private rustic fishing lodge along the perfect Wood River. We chose it for it's proximity to Crater Lake but found the Ranch to be the true main attraction. Our kids immediately became a pack of Tom Sawyers adventuring throughout the acres of woods, tall grasses and marshy meadows while the adults took turns playing horseshoes, relaxing on the deck facing the picturesque red barn or fly-fishing along the famed Wood river a short stroll from the deck. Come ready to unplug and feed your soul on the simple pleasure of Oregon wilderness. Bring your rods and waiters.

  • Great location to visit Crater Lake national Park.

  • We had a great retreat at Horseshoe Ranch. We used it to access Crater Lake National Park. The antiquities in the house were fascinating, and the house met our needs for a quiet and comfortable place to stay. I would definitely recommend for those looking to get off the beaten path.

  • This is an amazing place. 20 min drive from Crater lake.

  • Horseshoe Ranch house was perfect, meeting our needs for our large group. 30 minute drive to Crater Lake National Park – huge plus. The facility is a little bit old, could use some work. Thank you for having us. Pawel

  • We loved the ranch. We had seen the reviews and photographs from guests who had stayed here previously but we were pleasantly surprised when we got there in person. The place was clean and had a cute fishing and horse shoe decoration theme going throughout the house. It also had all the basic amenities in place with some unexpected luxuries thrown in - beer glasses in the freezer, a creek in the backyard, a fire pit, a great lawn to play frisbee in and watch the meteor showers from. It is also super close to Crater Lake National Park and a great place to stay at when visiting Crater Lake. We will definitely come back here whenever we plan to visit this area in the future.

  • Robert was responsive to all of our questions, and left helpful directions and instructions on how to get to his beautiful ranch. We were comfortably situated, and enjoyed being so close to Crater Lake National Park.

Cready's Mountain Retreat is actually the bottom floor of a larger main home located in Southern Oregon 60 minutes from Crater Lake. It is a full 750 sq ft basement in our home; entirely separate with its own entry with windows looking out into the yard. It includes one bedroom, one bath, a full kitchen, and a large room with two futons. We also have a cute "cozy" cottage just next door.
  • The place, although clean, has some lingering smell. Not sure what it is but it is def. there and bothered us a bit. Mark was nice to provide some room freshners but they were not so effective. The place is clean and comfortable otherwise and the hosts were very nice.

Our place is close to the Rogue River (fishing, boating, hiking and rafting), Jacksonville (historical, Britfest), Ashland (Shakespeare Festival) and Crater Lake. You’ll love our place because of the quiet environment and very comfortable house. You are in range of many ammenities, but not too close. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
There is a porch in the front and back of the house. There is an outdoor seating area with a gas barbeque.
This is a small, quiet community with families and newer homes.

  • Nora's house is warm & inviting! She left a tasty pastry upon our arrival & many fun little treats to enjoy during our stay. Her house was centrally located to all the activities we came to enjoy - Crater Lake, Lost Lake & the Rogue River. We loved her house & all the amenties were exactly as listed - just like being at home! Thank you Nora!

  • The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. Bedrooms and bathrooms are super clean and spacious. My friends and I really enjoy our stay here, we will definitely recommend Nora's place to our family and friends.

  • Nora's house was a wonderful place for our family of 5 (kids ages 10, 12, and 14). We spent five days here -- making day trips to see the beautiful scenery of southern Oregon and northern California. The house had everything we needed to make for a great stay: comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, quiet neighborhood.

  • Nora's house was such a pleasant stay! It is about a 1.5 hr drive from Crater Lake National Park. Host was very responsive and the check-in process was effortless. Would definitely recommend to anyone who will be visiting the area!

A cozy one bedroom cabin (sleeps 4) by Upper Klamath River. It's charming and relaxing property in a beautiful, calming setting with an amazing water and mountain view all around you. This is one of the cabins in Rocky Point Resort. Get out early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise by the dock - a heavenly place. Many of our guests return year after year and they bring along their friends and family.
We have all the kitchen cookware, dish soap, kitchen towel, cooking oil, salt and pepper to cook a meal.
This facility has more than 100 year old history. Rocky Point Resort has a canoe trail with 5 miles loop, 7 miles loops and 9 miles loops with plenty of wildlife around you.

  • We stayed at Tims house during our cross country road trip. Traveling with two adults and 3 children (1 who is 5 months old) we have stayed a lot of places! This place was great. Simply stunning, especially at sunset and early morning. The beds were comfy too. Check in was simple. I love when kitchens have some basic, quick use supplies (oil, Salt and pepper, etc). The washer and dryer were great to do a small quick load. My only issues were the deck is getting old and required shoes at all time and there is a sign that all dishes must be cleaned or a fee is charged. I understand why this is, but it is hard to turn around right after breakfast and hand wash dishes (no dishwasher ) while also picking up and packing out. Also some requests for check out that I felt compelled to do that added some stress. Those were my only 2 things. Tips: bring mosquito spray...they were bad! And like others said, bring food.

  • Pictures don't do this place justice! This spot has an great wrap around patio with a river winding through their large backyard. Great big fire pit, perfect for evening stargazing and smores. Great little rural retreat and very convenient to crater lake.

    Elena2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for one night while visiting Crater Lake and enjoyed our time at the house. Owner has great communication and the house was spacious with a fantastic yard that allowed for a wonderful view of the night sky away from city lights. We saw several shooting stars, warmed up by the fire pit and ate dinner on the back porch. That being said, this place could really shine with minor repairs and updates (peeling paint, window cracks, a few broken outdoor chairs, outdated electrical, etc). Other than that, the house was beautiful. Very spacious rooms, nice dining room, lovely family room, beautiful outdoor areas. In all, we really enjoyed our stay and the memories made.

    Natalie2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Riverhouse - we didn't see any pictures or really know anything about the accommodations (I expect they weren't posted since this was only the 2nd time Tim had done Airbnb). Very comfy (like grandma's house), lots of room for 5 of us to enjoy - dinner and games outside on the expansive grounds, right on the Wood river. Conveniently located south of Crater Lake.

    Jill2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for Crater Lake exploration. Huge backyard for kids and adults alike to play in. One drawback - we went to house during a heat wave and there was no A/C. It cooled down at night but it was very warm for the afternoon/evening. Loved that kitchen was stocked with some basic amenities (salt/pepper, oil, ketchup/mustard, some oil and spices). Fit our group of 8 comfortably (4 kids and 4 adults). Great communication with Tim.

  • This was a great place to stay as a jumping off point while exploring the crater lake area. Cute, secluded home by the river.

  • A great cabin on the river, it was peaceful quiet and beautiful. My friend and I appreciated the warmth over camping on a cold night and the beds and blankets we're comfortable! Great kitchen, dining, and living room space and awesome outdoor space. Great location to Crater lake Park South entrance.

    Ivy2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying at the Riverhouse. It was a perfect place to unwind after a lovely day at Crater Lake. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. There was a great fire pit. We wished we could have stayed longer.

The Riverhouse on the Wood River
    20 Bewertungen
Get away from it all in our cozy cabin on Wood River. Nothing fancy but everything you need. Great for couples, families, fishermen, photographers and anyone who loves a river and peace and quiet. No phone, no tv and no internet help you get away. Your cell may or may not get coverage here. (For urgencies, wifi/landline available in my main house). Watch the wildlife, kayak, splash in the river if you dare (it's cold!), play a game, read a book, enjoy the stunning beauty of this part of Oregon.
Only 6 miles to the boundary of beautiful Crater Lake National Park (22 miles to the Rim Village and Crater Lake Lodge). Within striking distance of golfing (Running Y), gambling (Klamoya Casino), Crater Lake Zip Line (Rocky Point), the Britt Festival (Jacksonville), Oregon Shakespearean Festival (Ashland), and hiking in the Sky Lakes Wilderness. ACCESS: A few times a year, my 0.5-mile drive is impassable to some vehicles due to snow or mud. However, you can always park at the main road and hike the 0.5-mile distance to the cabin. I provide sleds to pull any luggage/belongings on the snow. FOOD: There are many wonderful things around here, but one thing there is not is easy access to food. Jo's Motel in Ft. Klamath has a small, but complete, organic grocery, and Crater Lake Resort has a camp store. Other than that, the nearest small grocery or restaurant is in Chiloquin, 15 miles away. The nearest supermarket is in Klamath Falls, 40 miles away. MOSQUITOS: In warmer months (approximately mid-June through August), the mosquitos can be very bad, especially at dusk. Please be prepared with at least long pants and long sleeves, plus mosquito repellent if you like.
  • We had a wonderful time in the cabin! Beautiful surroundings and only half an hour from Crater Lake. It only has the basics, but that's really all you need in a cabin. If possible, arrive during the day, the cabin is harder to find at night as we experienced.

    Anne Sophie2017-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • It is a great place with amazing views, and only 20-minutes drive to the crater lake. But there are tooooo many bugs in the house!!!! Bugs are everywhere!!! Be aware of that!!!

  • This place was great. More than we expected. A lot of character and charm. An awesome location, very quiet and tranquil.

  • Very beautiful location. It feels very remote.

    Linda2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint, very rustic cabin. Location was perfect for our trip to Crater Lake. The river is gorgeous at sunset - my husband and kids went out on the provided kayak a few times and were blown away by the serenity and beauty. The mosquitoes were indeed voracious - but we were warned so we knew what to expect.

    Tracey2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great (but too short!) stay at Tracy's. It is great how the cabin is right on a river and includes a kayak. It is very secluded and about a 40 minute drive to crater lake. This is a perfect trip if you want to "get away from it all". We loved the fireplace and front porch area. Thanks for having us!

    Lauren2017-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • House was good, all necessary things were there, the location was very beautiful, and house is far better than as shown in pictures. although we reached there in night and no streetlights were there in the area. So try to be there during sunlight. Else all is good.

    Poorvi2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful cabin in such a beautiful secluded area! The old cabin has so much history and charm. It was the perfect spot to stay while visiting Crater Lake. It reminded us of a little cabin we stayed at in Homer Alaska almost 40 years ago. We loved having a glass of wine out on the porch and watch the river and a few canoeists go by. 2 bedrooms with pretty comfortable beds. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay.
