“Craving some raw oysters? Wanted to go to ACME Oyster House until you arrived and learned there is a 2 hour wait? Go right across the street to Felix’s where you get just as good (if not better) oysters and skip the wait. Favorites: Raw oysters, Chargrilled Oysters ”

“You're going to drop a bill....but it's worth it. GET THE BBQ SHRIMP IT IS SERIOUSLY ONE OF THE BEST THINGS EVER. I prefer to sit at the bar & take in the ambiance. This is a quintessential classic New Orleans restaurant, and the food is actually good (unlike a lot of the well known spots). Make a reservation or go early and hop on the bar.”

“A classic Creole bar with an upscale twist. This is an old-school New Orleans bar named for the champagne cocktail, and it still feels like a step back in time. Attached to Arnaud's, one of the city's Creole grande dame restaurants, the spot's decor is lush, the light is dim, and local legend Chris Hannah helms the bar, which has many liquor options besides the eponymous drink. The bubbly French 75 is the perfect beverage to toast any occasion.”

“Solid beignets and less known than Cafe Du Monde. Still nice, but less ambiance. ”

“This small pocket of outdoor space on Bourbon Street is dedicated to the renowned musicians of New Orleans. Stop in to listen to jazz music daily from 10am to close. The stage is small, but the setting and music make for a great place to sit and listen for a stretch. Tables and chairs are mixed in among statues of musicians, and Café Beignet calls the back of the courtyard home. Plan on snacking on warm beignets or order up a Cajun specialty for breakfast, lunch or dinner while listening to local musicians do what they do best.”
