  • My friends and I loved our first visit to Cornwall! Wendy's cottage is just perfect, modern and clean, with 3 individual rooms and 2 bathrooms. We especially enjoyed having breakfast in the bright veranda. Wendy was so king to leave loads of travel guides and provided us with a lot of info, which really help us to know where to start our exploration. The cottage is located in Tintagel, it is a lovely village with local pubs and shops and ideally located to go visit Port Isaac, Padstow, Bodmin... From the house, you can walk to the coast in 10 minutes and visit the ruins of King Arthur Castle (I recommend to go there to see the beautiful sunset). We will be happy to return! Thanks again Wendy, we could not expect a better stay.

  • A clean and cute cottage in excellent condition with every facility you'd expect to need/use. The location allows sea views from the first floor bedrooms and is a 2-minute walk from Tintagel's main street (shops, restaurants, tea rooms). Coastal paths/walks are a few minutes away. And it's a great spot from where to explore north Cornwall by car. Wendy responded to every enquiry without delay and provided lots of useful local information. We had a great time and can recommend this cottage without reservation.

  • Very beautiful and peaceful part of the country. Wendy's house is very well equipped and everything thats stated in the profile is true. Wendy herself is very friendly and extremely helpful. I would have no issues recommending her to anyone I know.

    Daniel2013-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our Tintangel stay was superior! Wendy's home is beautifully decorated and ever so comfortable. The kitchen, as well as every usable space, is well-appointed with all the needs of a visitor thought of well in advance. We wanted for nothing. The location is superb for exploring the village, Tintangel Castle and the cliffs. If you are seeking a longer hike, the Coastal Path is at your doorstep. Turn left or right out of the drive and your journey begins. Wendy is the consummate host providing solid information and rapid replies. If you wish to visit Cornwall this should be your #1 choice for accommodation. Highly recommend!!!

Merci beaucoup

  • We had a fabulous few days in Cornwall. Wendy's house is clean and well laid out, rooms bright and airy and a wonderful base to explore Cornwall. We did the coastal walk to Boscastle which was amazing and Tintagel is lovely with great amenities and fantastic local walks and views of the sea. Wendy was a great host too, very attentive.

  • This a gorgeous house in an adorable setting. The house has everything you could possibly need, and more - suitable for up to 6 people. Wendy & Mark were very obliging and sent out lots of communication beforehand and were on hand on the phone when darkness fell as we arrived and could not find the exact location. The house is attractively styled and cosey and comfortable with lots of books to read and other leaflets and games should you have time after the many lovely coastal walks and amazing places to visit, all within a 30 minute drive. We would love to go back and stay there again! Thank you Wendy & Mark!

  • What a great cosy cottage! We had 3 generations staying for the week and it worked well for us. The house is exactly as described, its got everything you would need for a visit whatever the weather. The host was very welcoming, the best I'd had for a self-catering cottage. The area was lovely with the local Trebarwith Strand having a great family beach & a good foodie pub, lots of other places to visit - we managed Rock, Tintagle, Boscastle and Nation Trust Lanhydrock. Would highly recommend this lovely & v stylish cottage with such a perfect view.

  • The cottage was incredible. Cozy and welcoming. Both owner Neil and local host Mark were incredibly friendly, communicative, and hospitable (but left us to enjoy our stay!). Great area too. We'll be back for sure if you'll have us, Neil!

I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in Cornwell, it's easy to get to all the best beaches, and the best pub - the Port William. Thank you!

To help you make yourselves at home you will arrive to find a bottle of water, milk and some bubbles on the house if you are staying for longer than 4 nights. This beautiful old chapel has been tastefully converted to provide the ideal setting for a family or group holiday alike. The open plan living space is perfect for fun evenings in, with a cosy lounge area with electric fire for movies and board games, a large table for meals together, and the open plan living means the chef doesn't miss out on the fun either! We have a huge selection of movies and board games available at the property. The kitchen comes equipped with all the essentials and cooking equipment. The master room has a double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. There is a door which leads directly onto the beautiful, private patio. You will occasionally get the odd (cow) neighbour poking their head over the fence, which our young family love! The second bedroom has two single beds, with two pull out singe beds underneath. The pull out beds can be kept in the second room, or rolled out into the lounge area at night if you prefer. We have done that many a time! The bathroom comes equipped with a power shower, bath tub, toilet and sink. Towels are provided. The patio has a table and chairs and we also have a Weber BBQ for your use - bring coal. The views of the fields are simply stunning and the patio provides a lovely sun trap for those who like to laze in the sun. There is parking in a secure garage beneath the property.

  • Great location and a great place to stay, very easy to find with perfect directions. Lots to see and do in area! Phillipa was very well organised with key pieces of local information about good places to go as well as lots of easy instructions on how the property worked.

    Timothy2015-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for making your place available for us to stay in, we loved the space and loved how you've totally set it up for people to be comfortable in. THANK YOU!

    David2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Philippa was superb in making sure that everything was in place for our arrival, The apartment is well equipped for anyone family , couple etc. It's in a fantastic serene hamlet convenient to the seafront and anywhere else you want to walk or drive to. Philippa was very responsive from day one. The apartment is large with a modern kitchen equipped with everything you would need from home. I highly recommend this apartment and will be visiting again for a longer stay.

    Kennedy2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Phillipa we had a great stay at this lovely chapel for New Year's Eve. Phillipa's response to my enquiry was very fast and she was happy to answer all questions. The apartment is well stocked and has everything you may need (and the tv is much bigger than in the pics, a 32 inch LG with Freeview). Perfect spot for a quiet getaway with comfortable beds, lovely views and clean facilities. We visited for 2 nights as 2 couples with 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for us all. Would definitely recommend Phillipas place if you are looking for a big space with all the comforts of home! Only thing I'd have asked for is weather better than non stop rain but I guess that's not really Phillipas fault ;) Thanks again for your hospitality!

    Chris2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for a week and thought it was good value for money, it is in a great location, lots of great places to visit close by, for example Tintagel and Boscastle! The studio itself is a little tired and needs a bit of TLC, the shower could do with a face lift. No tv was a little hard first thing in the morning with a young one who gets up at 6am, evenings were fine as we played cards, we don't allow technology on an evening anyway! Trebarstrand is the closest beach, which in our opinion is the best beach around and we visited most, you have to climb over rocks to get to it but most families managed with push chairs. On the whole it was lovely, thank you.

    fionna2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The property was easy to find and get into thanks to the good instructions. Love the view out to sea especially at sunset. The studio had everything we could need and the beds were comfy. We walked down to Trebarwith strand which took us about 30 minutes not rushing. There is easy access to walks from the front door which is great. As my first Airbnb holiday I would absolutely stay at the studio again, thanks Philippa.

    Rachel2016-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place for a few days with the kids. Open plan living works really well for us on hols (kids are five and three). Flat was really clean and had everything we needed and beds were comfy. Kids enjoyed Tintagel castle and we would definitely recommend Hidden Valley discovery park for an unusual and fun day out. We managed to park our fairly big car in the garage fine once my husband had got over his initial anxiety about manoeuvring in and out!

    Cath2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • The flat was very well appointed and had everything we needed, as described. Ample space for family of 4 and my husband/children were delighted with the patio. It is a great base for exploring the area around relatively close by to many interesting features. The communication with hostess was seamless and had no issue with checking in/out. If I had one concern it would be that if anyone has allergies this might not be the place for them to stay, there seemed to be some mildew growth on ceiling in second bedroom & around in the bathroom.

  • Jon and Maddy were great hosts, they even went to the trouble of putting up a lovely wooden cot and making a high chair available for our baby. The cabin itself is lovely and cosy and is in a really convenient location for exploring the area. We had a lovely stay.

    Claire2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous place. Absolutely stunning location, the cabin is wonderful and has everything you could ask for. Couldn't ask for more really, had such a great stay.

  • We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The views were spectacular and Jon and Maddie were very welcoming. It was lovely to arrive to homemade scones and Jon gave us some great tips about the local area. It is a short walk to Tintagel and we particularly enjoyed the Malthouse pub. We definitely recommend a visit! Thanks again.

    Sarah2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is exquisite! My partner and I stayed there very recently and we had an exceptional time. The location is quiet and wonderfully picturesque but close enough to be able to walk pretty much everywhere including to Tintagel. The hosts were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Not only do they have great local knowledge, so can tell you where the best walks, pubs and prettiest views are; but there is also nothing that is too much for them to do. The cabin came equipped with everything we could have wanted and anything extra they did: the best being their setting up the gorgeous fire pit with candles around for us at sunset on our final night. I couldn't recommend this higher, you couldnt find a better place to stay - it is absolutely perfect!

    Emma2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • It's our first experience of using airbnb and we couldn't have asked for nicer hosts or a nicer place to stay. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and the location is just amazing. Perfect in every way. We will recommend the cabin to our friends and family and we will be revisiting, when we are next in Cornwall.

    Terry2017-05-27T00:00:00Z

  • Tony's place is ideal for exploring the north coast of Cornwall – it's got fantastic views, is near to everything (presuming you've got a car), and is lovely and cosy. Parking no problem. The balcony and sun room, facing down to the sea, are perfect for relaxing – and the garden is full of lovely birds of all varieties! Thanks Tony – see you again!

  • This is a lovely cottage set in a beautiful location. Comfy beds and all you could need in the apartment. The views are spectacular. The owners were around for support if it was needed. The apartment is child friendly.

  • We spent the August bank holiday weekend at Tony's and Carol's place and we loved it. Carol welcomed us upon arrival and gave us a little introduction to the house and its surroundings. The first thing we noticed was the amazing view from the conservatory and balcony. We loved to look over the sea while having breakfast or watch the sunset in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed including a French press and an egg poacher. Everything was clean and tidy and the four of us fitted comfortably into the bedrooms and most importantly onto the conservatory. We would certainly visit again.

Tintagel hat auch viele Geschäfte und eine gute Auswahl an Pubs, Cafés und Restaurants.
  • The house is in a great location with easy access to some of the greatest beaches in Cornwall. It's a big house which was good with seven of us staying and the place felt like a home from home. The place was slightly shabby around the edges, but we liked this, as we didn't spend the whole time having to watch the kids, or being concerned that we might break something. A great place for a family holiday and highly recommended.

Dragonfly Cabin is positioned next to our home overlooking the peaceful wooded valley just a short walk from the river and St Nectan's Glen waterfall We are just 2 miles from King Arthur's Tintagel and the harbour village of Boscastle. Rocky Valley towards the sea and Bossiney Cove (ideal beach for swimming) are just 30 minutes walk away and you can't leave without having a drink at The Port William, Trebarwith Strand with it's sea views Also nearby is Port Isaac, Rock, Bude and Bodmin moor.
Dragonfly cabin can be found up a quiet lane leading to just four properties. It is a cosy dwelling lined with pine tongue and groove over celotex insulation. and is fully self contained with a shower and toilet and a small kitchenette too with mini oven, hob, fridge and sink. There is a double bed with a quality mattress and a 20" tv with freeview and wifi. Outside is a decked balcony where you can sit and enjoy a quiet drink.
Tintagel is known for it's links with King Arthur. Port Isaac is where the tv drama Doc Martin is filmed.
  • A beatiful quiet place to stay with all the comforts needed. Up on the hill on the path to St Nectans Glen. Wes&Jeanine gave us a warm welcome. A car is preferable for travel to restaurant pubs and most sight seeings. We traveled with a baby. But probably not a good location for older kids. Perfect for (romantic) couples who love nature.

    Frank2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Dragonfly Cabin is a lovely cosy hideaway from it all and perfectly placed to explore this area of North Cornwall coast. Wes and Jeannie were great hosts and very welcoming with good advice for places to visit. We would definitely stay again.

  • We stayed for one night and felt warm and comfortable durning our stay. The cabin is in a great spot that feels private but with Wes and Jeannie available it needed.

  • Can't recommend this beautiful cabin enough! Perfectly situated to explore Cornwall but also brilliantly equipped to stay and enjoy the tranquil surroundings from the comfort of the decking. Loved it!

Suitable for couples and families. A comfortable Edwardian end of terrace house in Treknow with views across the fields towards the coast and only 3/4 of a mile from the beach at Trebarwith Strand.
Set in an elevated position, a flight of gated steps leads up from the narrow lane to a small terrace and the front door which opens to a hallway with a mosaic tiled floor. To one side is a light and airy sitting room with a stripped wood floor and seating for six, a period fireplace and lovely views from a large bay window down the valley to Trebarwith. At the rear of the house is a spacious pine fitted kitchen with a slate floor and a long dining table next to a decorative old range. A couple of steps lead up to a useful utility room with a 2nd sink and a W.C. and a children's playroom with table football and casual seating. A back door opens out to a service area where a series of steps lead up to a landscaped patio built into the hillside where children will require supervision due to the changes in level. Carpeted stairs lead up from the entrance hall to the first floor where there are a bathroom with hand basin and shower over the bath, a cloakroom W.C. with tiny basin and three bedrooms all with natural wood flooring. A twin bedroom looks across at the rear garden and two double bedrooms have views of the countryside with a glimpse of the sea in the distance. Stairs continue up to the second floor where a large bedroom has two single beds, wide open views from two skylight windows, and an en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin. There is parking available at the rear for two cars and one further car at the front of the house. The Port William Inn adjacent to the beach at Trebarwith Strand is just under 1 mile by road or a 20 minute walk by footpath and the pleasant Mill House Inn is 1/4 of a mile down a fairly steep hill. Tintagel, 1 mile, has several shops, pubs and restaurants in addition to the medieval Tintagel castle and there are spectacular coastal walks in the immediate area. PLEASE NOTE - Under Occupancy discount available for parties of 4 or less - This property welcomes one dog Please note: Towels included but bring a beach towel.

  • This week in Treknow, Cornwall, provided us with many great memories and sensations. The amazing views, the beautiful beaches beneath fearsome cliffs, so much sun at times we though we were in Italy, great walks on the coastal path ways, friendly folks everywhere, and the food... Liz's house was super comfy and furnished with taste and character. We can't think of anything that could have been better. Thank you Liz!

  • Just back from a wonderful week in Cornwall. Liz's house was just as described and was perfect for our large family of 5 children. Favourites were the fully equipped kitchen and the location. 5 mins walk to the pub and 15 mins walk to the beach. The were many fabulous coastal walks, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The town of Tintagel with its magnificent castle ruins was a must also. Despite Storm Frank it didn't put us off and we had a great holiday, mostly because the house was so homely and pleasure to come home to after a wet and windy walk. Would highly recommend, thanks again Liz for letting us stay in your house.

    Charming Cornish House in Treknow
    14 Bewertungen
Lovely traditional Cornish cottage modernised throughout set in a quiet village , close to the costal path leading to the beautiful beach of Trebarwith Strand. This beach is perfect for families and popular with surfers. There are two pubs within walking distance offering good food and a variety of Cornish beers.Treknow is also close to the magical town of Tintagel and beautiful coastal walks. The cottage is in an ideal location to explore the beauty of the Cornish countryside.
The cottage is an ideal holiday location for families and couples but may not be suitable for those with limited mobility as some walking is required. The cottage was built before the day of the car which adds to its charm and peaceful location.Parking is sometimes difficult in the small village and the lanes are narrow.I do have the use of a small garage, suitable for one car.If you do have difficulty parking spaces are always available near the Atlantic Hotel, with only a short walk down to the cottage. There are two sitting rooms, one lending itself for a space for the family to watch TV or play games, the other a quiet room for reading etc. The second room can serve as an additional bedroom and has a sofa which converts into a double bed. An assortment of DVDs, books and games are available. There is central heating and the windows are double glazed. There are two wood burners , one in the sitting room, the other in the dining area. A kitchen is always the hub of the cottage and has all the equipment necessary for cooking meals. There is a large fridge and freezer and a microwave for quick convenient meals. There is an adjoining dining area which sits 6 people. There are two bedrooms with comfortable double beds, chest of drawers, wardrobes, bedside tables and bedside lights. There is single bedroom again with a bedside table, light and a chest of drawers. The bathroom has a freestanding bath with a shower over the bath, a loo, washbasin and plenty of storage space. The garden is three tiered and has a large shed which stores garden furniture and a barbecue for guests use. I have all the essentials but do not provide towels. My cousin lives close by and is available to help with any problems or queries.
The village is a quiet hamlet which spreads out on two sides of the valley, consists of owner occupied properties and holiday lets. Please respect the neighbours especially avoid being noisy in the garden late at night.Parking ,I am afraid is restricted and it may be easier to park slightly outside the village near the Atlantic Hotel and walk down. This is only a short walk.I do offer parking for one car in a small private garage close to the cottage.
  • Host made us feel very welcome, and proximity of contact was reassuring. Property as described and well appointed - the wifi worked very well.

    MARK2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • All as described, no problems parking in the vicinity after unloading. Typical little Cornish cottage on quiet, peaceful lane, ideally located for coastal walking.

    Tessa2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The most important thing is that we had a wonderful 4 nights and the cottage is quintessential and in a lovely location. We enjoyed access to the southwest coastal path and walked to Tintagel on our first day! We also enjoyed the Trebarwith Strand beach and the lovely hillside pub. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with a fantastic washer too! Our children also loved the board games, such a nice touch! There were just a few things to mention for anyone considering staying here, the garage was not accessible by our larger vehicle and I think only a small vehicle would fit comfortably. Thus we were required to find a parking spot in the village and the spots were a good distance walk uphill from the cottage. Additionally, I have sensitive allergies and there was a strong damp smell that required me to take an antihistamine. I think this is just due to the age of the cottage and the downhill location. The cottage is very nicely done and modern. Although the lack of an overhead shower was an annoyance after the first day of being on beach and trying to get clean. But no matter, we managed and really enjoyed our time! Thank you to Judith and Edwina!

    Alicia2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • A fabulous cottage in a wonderful part of north Cornwall. The coast path is easily accessible and offers stunning views of the rugged coastline. A 10min downhill walk gets you to the beach which is a sheer joy. The cottage is spacious, clean and very well equipped.

    don2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at the cottage. Great location with an easy walk to the beach.

    Peter2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • A pretty cottage in a peaceful setting, overlooking a field of sheep. We woke up to views of new lambs basking in the sun. The house is well equipped, a spacious bathroom, lovely big bath (no stand up shower), two decent sized double bedrooms and one decent sized single bedroom. Kitchen / dining area is great - clean and enough space for a couple of cooks plus kids. The children liked playing the board games too. It's in a fabulous location to enjoy the south west coastal path. Within 10 mins we found some spectacular coastal views as we started our picturesque walk to Tintagel. You can also easily walk to the beautiful beach of Trebarwith Strand (15 mins with kids).

    Valerie2017-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage in a charming village. Was perfect size for two small families. Kitchen is well equipped. Was great in the summer. A short walk down a steepish trail to a great beach, although the beach is only really there at low tide, at high tide it's just rocks, but you can get Cornish pasties, Cornish ice cream and cream teas to fill your time waiting for the sea to recede. Great location for visiting the amazing Tintagel castle and beautiful Boscastle.

    Vars2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cottage located in an unspoilt and secluded area of North Cornwall, yet also falling within easy reach of larger coastal towns by car. The cottage is a stone's throw from some fantastic coastal walking as well as Trebarwith Strand with its spectacular views which you can enjoy whilst having a beverage at The Port William (public house). The Mill House (public house at the bottom of the hill) does good deals on food on Wednesdays and Thursdays but, if you prefer nights in, the cottage includes a well-equipped kitchen and a log burner in the larger sitting room. The bedrooms and bathroom are light, spacious and airy. As well as providing useful information about parking and directions, our host had also included personal touches which made the cottage seem like home from home.

Delightful 17th Century single story barn conversion conveniently situated between Tintagel and Boscastle. Lovely sea views. Close to Coast Path, Bossiney beach and just above magical St. Nectan's Glen and Rocky Valley. Very peaceful, with small private garden with shared larger space. Perfect for a relaxing Cornish break at any time of year. Unusually light and airy, but cosy and snug in the winter.
The Granary has bags of character, with old beams, sloping 3 foot deep walls and a unique carriage front doorway. Although it is called "The Granary', of course it is unlikely that grain would have been kept at this level. Given the obvious original entrances, it was more likely to have served as a carriage or machinery store. It is built of local granite and slate and there is one exposed slate wall in the living room and a roof of graduating sized local slates under a green oak frame. As this is my home-from-home and not a commercial holiday let I have tried to use the best quality furniture, bedding and equipment that I can and I am sure that you will appreciate that. This is a little house that somehow seems more spacious than it is, as it is well-planned. The living room is open plan, with a modern kitchen area, large leather sofa and wooden dining table and chairs, plus cosy woodburner. There is a large purpose-built cupboard in the lobby in between the living room and bedroom, with ample hanging space plus storage for ironing board, hoover, outside furniture and other essentials. The bedroom has a kingsize bed with comfy mattress, down duvet and quality bedding. There is a large chest of drawers and two bedside drawer units. There is plenty of room next to the bed for a cot. There is a very efficient shower room between the living room and bedroom. Please note that there is no washing machine or dishwasher. There just isn't the room.
The Granary is in the tiny hamlet of Halgabron (in old Cornish meaning the valley of the black crow). There are a handful of cottages and a working farm. It has a unique position looking down on the sea above the historic Rocky Valley and with the magical St Nectan's Glen just at the bottom of the garden, so you have the best of Cornwall within a very short walking distance - the majestic cliffs and the Coast Path and arguably the most beautiful sheltered river valley in Cornwall. The village of Tintagel, famous as the birthplace of King Arthur (which has recently become more likely) is 1.5 miles away and the historic and picturesque trading port and harbour of Boscastle, sadly famous for the devastating flood in 2004, 2.5 miles away. Both have well-informed visitors' centres and a small range of local shops, plus cafes, pubs, cash machines and giftie shops. The nearest petrol stations are in Boscastle, Delabole (5 miles) and Camelford (6 miles). Please do try to but locally if you can, rather than a trip to a big supermarket. You will find a good range of products between the little local shops and the farm shops and although it might cost a few pennies more, visitor support keeps these businesses open for all. If you can't resist - Waitrose now deliver to this area .....

  • A magnificent, old and idyllic countryside cottage nestled above the most astounding scenery in Cornwall. Walking distance to St Necterns Waterfall, the amazing Rocky Valley, beautiful crystal clear waters of Bossiney Bay. The cottage inside has everything you'd need for a holiday. As a couple we particularly enjoyed the use of the wood burner, sound system and a great coffee machine. Very comfortable bedroom and cosy bed. A great stay and will definitely recommend and return. Would love to use it in the summer and make use of the gardens and facilities outside.

  • We had a lovely stay at the Granary. It's a beautifully situated cosy cottage with a glorious view and easy access to the coast. We were there over Christmas and the cottage was a comfortable and welcoming hideaway. Everyone was very friendly and we'd recommend the Granary happily.

    Becky2015-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • The photos don't do this place justice. The Old Granary is beautiful inside and out. The scenery is spectacular. The place is cosy but everything inside is of a high quality. Highly recommended!

  • We had a lovely couple of days at the Granary, the cottage is very small but comfortable and in a great location. Like others, we found the walk down through Rocky Valley to be a highlight and would recommend it. We didn't get to see Rosie during our stay, but everything was ready for us when we arrived and the cottage has everything you would need. Lovely view too.

    Kate2015-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication response really quick, the house was lovely and the views stunning. Great location nearby to some really beautiful walks - would recommend rocky valley and the coastal walk to Tintagel castle. Short drive from Boscastle which has the brilliant Witchcraft museum, would also recommend. The house itself has lots of little luxurious touches from the coffee making machine, to the feather bedding and designer hand soaps. We didn't want to leave!

    Kyra 2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot praise The Granary enough. Such a lovely building in an amazing location. The views are amazing, it's a very short walking distance to the amazing St Nectan's Glen and a short drive to both Tintagel and Boscastle, both beautiful places. The Granary itself has everything you need, whether you need a base to travel further out or just want to bed down somewhere snug. Rosie the host was very quick to respond to all our queries, non of which were problems just simply us asking for advice or recommendations. We highly recommend Rosie and The Granary, and the area in general.

Puffins is a one of a kind house; part of it includes an old train car that was incorporated into it. Otherwise? We love the sun, the skylights inside, how close we are to the beach, the pace, the feeling of calm and days of promise, & fires in the winter.
Note: There is a pet fee of up to £25 for one large dog, or two smaller ones. We love dogs, so don't usually say no! But do mark that on the form you submit asking if you can book, otherwise we have to get Airbnb to add that, which just delays confirming your booking. THE HOUSE Puffins is a lovely place to holiday in a fabulous location 400 metres from the cliff above Trebarwith Strand beach. It is a uniquely designed property which has won awards from RIBA and the Bristol Architecture Centre for architectural and sustainable design when it was built in 2000. It is a compact, relaxing gem of a house that has everything you need for a memorable holiday, set on the rugged North Cornwall coast. Puffins is ideal for 2 couples, or a small family. Please note we accept 4 guests maximum at Puffins, even though there are 3 bedrooms. In December 2016 a brand new larger bathroom was installed, with a fantastic waterfall shower head, or a lovely bath to soak in. A compact, but comfortable open-plan living room / kitchen / dining area forms the heart of the property which has access directly on to an enclosed terrace through a full length glass wall, which is also the entrance to the property. This glass wall allows light to flood into the living space, bringing some of the amazing Cornish light inside for you. It also has full length curtains that can be drawn across it for privacy, or a sun awning that can be lowered down for shade. The main room is lovely and warm with a wood-burning stove for those colder months. Natural light streams into the main corridor beyond through skylights, and through the glass wall and skylight in the main great room. Each bedroom has lovely high window(s) that allow light and privacy. The kitchen has all the usual appliances plus a large fridge freezer, microwave and a washing machine. There is a BBQ on the sunny terrace plus table and chairs for 6 so you can enjoy outdoor meals -- perhaps even fish bought fresh that day. The terrace has a chimenea as well, so you can build a small fire outside to keep you warm during cool Cornish nights. Puffins consists of the main room, three bedrooms (a main double, a smaller double and a single room; please note the single room is small and there is limited storage in that room) and the bathroom (tub and power shower). On the terrace there is a retractable washing line which is a good place to dry wetsuits / swimsuits too. No expense has been spared -- the main two beds are from Loaf and Warren Evans, and all bed linens are from Loaf, or John Lewis. The furniture throughout is from Loaf, Neptune, French Connection, or a few local boutiques, and is to a high standard. After all, Puffins is our retreat from the hustle and bustle of the world too, so we want to feel pampered there as well. The house has unlimited wi-fi, a DVD / Blu Ray player, cable, a TV, 2 iPod docks and radios, a Nespresso machine, books, games and all the things that would make a fun holiday for people of all ages. Puffins is ideal for 2-4 people (although there are beds that would allow for 5, please note we allow no more than 4 guests in Puffins, to ensure everyone's comfort.) The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are connected by a door between them, which allows for extra room for bed 2 if it is two couples, and bedroom three can be used more as a dressing room / extra room to spread your self out in. If you have 2 children, one in the single bed in room 3, and one in the double in room 2 works out well. As Treknow is a small quiet hamlet just over a mile from Tintagel, cars may easily be parked on the road outside the house where there are no restrictions. In the photos we show where we usually park, which is always available. From the house it is a 8-10 minute walk down to the beach, via either the Coast Path, or just 1 minute down the road, which is excellent for swimming and surfing, or on the old mining path that was used to take granite in mule carts back and forth from the beach to the quarry. If you have little ones, we suggest taking the car down, and parking in the car parks provided at Trebarwith Strand, as the path isn't flat, and the roads are narrow (single track with passing places)! It’s also an amazing place for walking, or just lazing about and reading or having a picnic. If you want to go to Tintagel Castle, it is 5 minutes by car to the Castle Car park, then a walk to the entry point, or a 30 minute walk from the house. For those who enjoy nature beyond the beach, bird watching along the cliffs is excellent and on nearby Davidstow Moor and Bodmin Moor there are some truly beautiful walks. The house has books and maps with information on both. At the beach is The Port William, called by many ‘the best pub with a view over the sea in Cornwall’. It is a wonderful place to watch the sun going down and serves a wide range of different foods and snacks which are better than standard pub fare. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally, in the summer the café next to the beach has fantastic homemade food and good coffee, and next to the Seagull Surf Shop they sell fresh made donuts (and ice cream). The nearest shops are in Tintagel which is just over one mile away. Boscastle and Port Isaac are also close, where there are lots of different restaurants, pubs and shops. Rock is about a 20 minute drive away, and you can take the ferry across the Camel Estuary to Padstow from there, which is lovely for a day out. You can go sea-fishing and boating from many places near the house. In Padstow you will find Rick Stein’s restaurants and cafés and his famous fish and chips. Port Issac and Rock also have the famous Nathan Outlaw's restaurants. There are bicycles are for hire in Wadebridge so you can cycle along the Camel trail or anywhere you like - they even have motorised ones if you aren't up for pedalling up and down all the hills, but want to go for a spin with everyone else. Like a bit more activity on your holiday? Then enjoy surfing at Trebarwith Strand or Polzeath, Tennis at Tintagel tennis courts, golf at St Endoc, skateboarding at the Tintagel Playing Fields, kayaking / coasteering / stand up paddling, cycling riding on the Camel Way, or why not even try some horse riding on the Moors? There is so much more to do; the best way to find out about it all and experience it is to come to North Cornwall and stay at Puffins. We look forward to welcoming you!
Treknow is probably best described as a small hamlet, blink and you might miss it. People might drive through it to go down to Trebarwith Strand beach - but there is an other, more direct way, so that doesn't tend to happen. There isn't a great deal of car traffic in Treknow. Tintagel is about a mile away with coffee and sandwich shops, food shops, etc, so you can grab necessities there, or go to Camelford (5 miles) or Wadebridge for a big shop.

  • Really cool cottage in really good location, close to Tintagle and SW coast walking route. Nice surfers feel to property, shame there seems to be surfers attitude to cleanliness of the property as well.

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Kristine's place. It's in a great location just 2 mins from the coastal path & 15 mins walk to the breathtaking Trebarwith Strand Beach. Kristine provided us with lots of things to do and detailed instructions on how to operate things and where we could find things. The cottage itself is lovely and bright during the day and wonderfully cosy in the evening. We'll definitely be back!

  • Puffins is a small, nice and cosy cottage. The beds are really comfi and the house is well organized, with all you need and with lovely furniture. We enjoyed staying there.

  • We stayed in Puffins for one week and had a brilliant time in this very special cottage. The property is extremely well decorated and in a great location to access local walks and bike rides. We walked to Tintagel and accessed other walks including Port Isaac and Padstow by a short car ride. The nearby pub Port William is a great place for food and drink. The cottage has a very good fire too. Kristine was a very communicator and were on the end of the phone for a small matter. A few words of warning, if you're above 5'11" tall then watch your head on the bathroom doorway! A perfect week and we would definitely recommend.

  • Puffins is an absolutely perfect place for holiday! So relaxing (as relaxing as its possible to be with an 8 month old in tow ;) ), beautifully designed and decorated and everything you need is right there. The location is amazing, we were very lucky to have gorgeous weather and swam in the sea every day. Kristine was very helpful when we were booking. Love to go back one day!

  • I had stayed in his village many times and knew this property from the outside..the description was perfect and the cottage was just as you would envision. The hosts have left a great supply of materials including maps, brochures ,restaurant guides and most importantly the tide guide( Trebarwyth Strand is a gorgeous beach but can be hidden in high tide ) Kristine was flexible and always answered promptly ( even when she was on her way to New York ).We cooked and found the kitchen well equipped. This is a great place for anyone wanting to explore the area....the outside has a barbecue and fire pit so would be great in warmer weather. My friends who had never been to this area loved the property and village....remember to buy supplies in Tintagel before you move in as here is no shop in the village. Thank you Kristine

  • Great location for exploring the North Cornwall coast. Great walks along some of Britain's most stunning coastline. Brilliant to be so close to Tintagel. Puffins is lovely to stay in with all mod cons and feels like a second home when you're there - which it is !

Little Acre, with it's uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean, is just 250 metres away from the coastal path and magnificent cliffs of North Cornwall, accessed by a track adjacent to the property. A 15 minute walk south with take you to the awe inspiring Trebarwith Strand, with it's lovely beach and the 'Port William Inn' standing on the cliff top. A 15 minute walk north will take you to Tintagel with it's quaint shops, cafes and more than our fair share of hostelries!!
As the name suggests, Little Acre sits on just under 1 acre of land (97% to be exact)! It is an open space enclosed by slate walls, and surrounded on 3 sides by farmland. We have three patio areas, BBQ's and a fire pit. Inside, a large living room with patio doors and a large kitchen with open plan dining, also with door leading to the patio. Upstairs are three bedrooms; one double with ensuite, plus another double and either king size bed or configured as 2 twin beds. These two rooms share a wonderful 'wet room' style bathroom. all three bedrooms, living room and kitchen/dining room have wonderful uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Little Acre is on the edge of Treknow, a village that was built in the 19thC to house slate quarry workers who worked on the cliffs. You will drive through the village if you wish to visit the Mill House Inn or Port William Inn by car. The neighbourhood is very quiet, with almost zero crime rate. My immediate neighbours are sheep and cattle and they have very few late night parties!
  • The perfect place from which to see Tintagel and this part of the coast. I can highly recommend the Port William Inn for food and outstanding Ales.

  • We had an excellent and very easy stay at Nicola's Little Acre and were made to feel very at home. It felt more like staying at a friends house. The room was large with an en suite bathroom, we were able to use the kitchen and all the facilities and the views from every room in the house were fantastic. The location for us was perfect for surfing and body boarding at nearby Polzeath and walking on the coastal path at the end of the garden! Thank you Nicola, was really great :)!

    Monique2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Situated in a little village just outside of Tintagel. The view from the bedroom and kitchen window of Tintagel's coastline was amazing. From the moment we arrived Nicola made us feel very welcome and relaxed. We had the twin bedroom which included a private bathroom for our use - the bathroom is stunning. Breakfast was great with an option for a full cooked breakfast. This was our first time using Airnb but will not be our last

  • I have had my share of airBnB experiences and they were all good, but this was so much more than good. Nicola welcomed us in and made us feel at home. She did not only go out of her way to help us with things she did more than that. Our car broke down and she gave us all the help we could have wished for. She was loving and fun and kind. I always feel a little weird when I book a Private room because you are in somebody's house.. well.. this experience changed all that. I felt all the space I could possibly need and then the company of this wonderful woman, who was an angel to us, when I needed it. And then I didn't even speak about the amazing location. She lives in a 5 minute walk from the coast path. Seeing the sun go down from the house until it disappears in the ocean is just breathtaking. The house is very quite and clean and lovely.. we will come back. This is a treat you don't want to miss.

  • Nicola is a kind and fun host. She responded promptly to my emails the week before our trip and answered all the questions that I had about our arrangements. We felt welcome in her home and she was always happy to give advice and suggestions about pubs close by and where and what we should go see. The room is spacious with a very comfortable bed and a stunning view of the sea from the bedroom window. The en suite bathroom is very modern and the house was always very quit and peaceful. We planned to go to Tintagel Castle and relax at the beach if the weather permits. Nicola's house is close to the coastal path which enabled us to walk to the castle while admiring the breathtaking views. Port William is also walking distance away and they serve wonderful food with a nice view of the sea and surrounding landscapes. We enjoyed our stay at Nicola's and would definitely recommend her as a pit stop to go explore the beautiful surroundings that is northern Cornwall.

  • We had a lovely stay at Little Acre and Nicola was a really kind and accommodating host. She went out of her way to make us comfortable and have the best stay. The room and ensuite bathroom was a real pleasure to stay in, we also had a breathtaking view of the coast even though it rained most part of the weekend. The room and bathroom was very neat and clean. We would definitely recommend Nicola's place to stay for your next visit to Tintagel and the surrounding area!

  • We arrived at Little Acre after a 6 hour journey and Nicola made us feel so welcome. Her house has been tastefully renovated and decorated, our bedroom was lovely plenty of room and the view from our bedroom window was picture perfect. We are fairly new to Airbnb and had not stayed in a private room in someone's house so we were a little uncertain of what to expect. We need not have worried and on this experience would do it again. Little Acre is so peaceful and we were soon relaxing with a drink (or two) in the garden. Nicola did everything to make us feel 'at home'. The views from the garden towards the coast are beautiful and we were lucky to see a couple of breathtaking sunsets (and a couple of typical Cornish sea mists which change the view completely). Nicola cooked breakfast every morning without a time restriction also providing fresh juice, lots of fruit and yoghurt - a great start to the day. Nicola was able to recommend some local places to eat and although we know the area well still found somewhere new to go to. There is access to a coastal path from Little Acre and we walked to the beautiful beach at Trebarwith Strand. We have been to Cornwall on many occasions but can honestly say that our four night stay with Nicola was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable - like staying with a relative or a good friend. Highly recommended THANK YOU. Steph and Neil.

  • Nicola has a wonderful spot there, incredible views and fabulous location. Brilliant host and provided far more than what you get from a normal Air bnb! Absolutely awesome and we will be back.

  • I had a very pleasant stay at Paul's B&B. The house is located about 200m from the coast and I enjoyed a marvellous sunset over the sea lying in my bed. Perfect seaview! Perfect breakfast! And it is only a 30-40min walk at the cliffs to Tintagel Castle.

    Markus2016-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was easy to communicate with and very helpful to me during my stay. The bnb is in a superb and beautiful location (albeit up a very steep hill if you are arriving by bicycle!)and had all mod cons supplied. My room was well equipped with an excellent bathroom. It had absolutely everything I needed. It is a great place to stay to explore the wonderful North Cornwall coast and Paul was very easy to chat to about places to go etc. The breakfast was absolutely superb, a full English fry up with extra toast, tea and cereal if required, I couldn't eat it all. I walked down to the coast as Paul suggested to find some spectacular views and another aspect of a wonderful stay. I can't recommend this place enough, extremely good value for money, great position and really good quality accommodation.

    Chris2016-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Paul is a very welcoming & easy-going host. The accommodation & location are superb - highly recommended.

    Robin2016-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Paul is a great host. He manages the place himself. I had a late check-in (10pm), but that was no problem. Breakfast was great. When a young polite lady is responsable for breakfast, just ask her for full English breakfast. Besides, there are 9 kinds of cereal, 4 kinds of jam, 6 kinds of sauces avaliable. When Paul makes breakfast himself, you don't have to ask, it will be Eng full. The hotel is a bit old but very charming. This is very clean place with all the neccessaties. You will even have a hairdryer and (ta-daam!) an electric heater! Shower is great, bed is comfortable.

    Anna2017-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was not a typical airbnb it is a 9 room commercial operation but that detracts nothing from the way Paul and his lovely daughter treated (URL HIDDEN) room was lovely and the view awesome...the breakfast wonderful and if you are a walker 200 yards away is the most amazing coastal walk....everything was top class thanks les

    Les2016-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy, warm room with comfy bed and pillows. Good shower pressure with hot water. Fab view to the sea and only a five-minute stroll to the coastal path. Friendly, welcoming laid-back host. Great wi-fi connection and a copious breakfast. Easy to find and good parking. What more could you want!

    Angela2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • A quite accommodation with wonderful views. I travelled on foot so it did take me some time to get there from Tintagel, but it was a leisurely walk. Cozy room and wonderful breakfast.

Sunnyside is a lovely traditional stone cottage in North Cornwall next to the beautiful coastal path and close to a fantastic surfing beach. Within walking distance of Tintagel Castle and two fantastic Cornish pubs, plus conveniently located for many tourist attractions. The cottage has four bedrooms, a large eat-in kitchen , a garden and outside terrace with table and seating, a cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove, a games room with table-football and parking for three cars.
This lovely traditional cottage is in the centre of a quiet and friendly village and is within walking distance of the beautiful Trebarwith Strand beach. Fully modernised 8 years ago and lovingly maintained, the cottage provides a peaceful haven and perfect base for enjoying the outdoor pleasures of Cornwall and it's many attractions. The cottage has central heating, a woodturning stove, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher and, most importantly, a football table. High quality bedding and towels are included. We also have body boards and beach equipment at the cottage.
Useful Information: Tintagel 5 minute drive There is a chemist, Londis, post-office, cashpoint, doctors surgery, some useful shops and an excellent Fish & Chippie. Turn left onto the B3263 and continue for a few minutes into Tintagel. At the small roundabout, turn left for the chemist and the old post office (a tourist attraction). Turn right for the Londis, Fish & Chippie, post-office, cashpoint (inside Londis), surgery (opposite the post office) and tourist information center. There is a large Tesco outside Wadebridge. Turn right onto the B3263 and at the end turn left towards Camelford. At the crossroads, turn right towards Camelford & Wadebridge onto the B3266. Pass through Camelford and at the T-junction, turn right onto the A39. Continue on this road for around 15 minutes. At the large roundabout before Wadebridge, take the Wadebridge bypass (3rd exit), signposted A39 Truro and Newquay. Cross over the bridge and turn left after the petrol station. The Beach 20 minute walk The best way to Trebarwith Strand is by foot. Turn right out of Sunnyside and left through the gate into the fields, following the path downwards. This will take you over a few stiles, along a stream, past some rabbits, through a carpark and down the winding road to the beach. Check the tidal times because there is no beach unless it’s low tide. If it’s high-tide, the Port William is a great pub with fantastic views of the crashing waves below. A less strenuous but longer walk back is via the road. Continue past the car-parks until you reach a crossroads. Turn left down the winding road past the Mill House. You are roughly half-way home and this is an excellent place to stop for a pint and/or food. Continue along this road which curves steeply upwards and takes you back into the village. You’ll pass the parking for Sunnyside on your left. Places to eat The Millhouse (on the road towards Trebarwith), The Port William (by the beach), Uncle Jack’s Fish and Chips (Tintagel), Wyldes Café (Tintagel). The Mowhay near Daymer Bay serves excellent food in an informal art gallery. Padstow has an international reputation for excellent restaurants.
  • Fantastic place to stay near a beautiful beach and coastal paths. Tanya's cottage is well equipped with everything needed for a perfect stay. Navigating the winding narrow roads can be a bit tricky. Would recommend to anyone who likes peace and quiet.

  • Tanya was a great host. Communication was clear and precise and we found the place without a problem. The cottage was perfect for what we wanted. Quiet, close to some great places for the kids, beaches and restaurants. The cottage also had games for all of us and table football which the boys enjoyed very much. A really lovely place for anyone wanting some quality family time.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Tanya's cottage. It is in a great location and is very well equipped. The cottage was perfect for 2 families of 3 to enjoy their holiday and we highly recommend a stay there.

  • We had a great stay. The local beach is only about a 15 minute stroll from the cottage and is a delight. We went to Newquay a couple of times during our stay - only about an hour's drive away. We have a small dog who probably enjoyed the trip more than us - the back garden is secure so she can run/sniff to her hearts content, and the nearby beach is also dog-friendly. There is no mobile reception at the cottage, but the internet works fine. Overall, I can thoroughly recommend a stay there. There are lots of very narrow single track roads around Treknow - it took me a few days to get used to negotiating them without having palpitations.

The Lodge (previously Main Cottage), AA 4* rated, is close to Tintagel and the sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand. Both are within walking distance with fantastic views. There are pubs, shops and restaurants in Tintagel along with the historic castle. Port Isaac, Boscastle, Bude, Padstow and Bodmin Moor are only a short drive away. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the location, the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
The Lodge is part of an old Cornish Farmhouse. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 with en-suite, a family bathroom, dining room, living room and kitchen. There is off road parking and a private garden. A laundry room is available with washing machine and tumble dryer for a donation. During early 2017, the lounge and dining rooms were renovated making a larger lounge seating 6 people comfortably, and an improved dining room with original slate floor. The bedrooms and hallways were also given a makeover **Please note - in 2018 due to proposed renovation work, the bunk room may not be available. However the cottage can still sleep 6 due to a new double sofabed in the lounge. Please enquire for further information.

Welcome extras like coffee, milk and oil was very appreciated and the kitchen was well stocked. We had a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend to all our friends.

  • We have just had the most wonderful family holiday in Tintagel staying at beaver cottage. The area is absolutely stunning with the best beaches you could wish for within very easy distance of the cottage. The cottage it's self is really lovely, we were told on arrival by Nicola that they had just bought the cottage and were yet to update it but we found the place to be really cozy and functional and charming non the less. Our hosts live in a cottage attached to the one we were staying in but we couldn't have felt more private. The cottage is surrounded by fields and you can even see the sea from the main bedroom. I cannot recommend beaver cottage enough for young family's like us, we all had an absolutely magical holiday and will definitely be back next year!

This characterful Cornish bothy, decked with surfboards and dripping in beach chic, offers stunning sunset views across the Atlantic. A light and airy common area has bay doors that open onto a patio sun-trap where you can enjoy a sundowner or three after a day of surf, sand and cliff walks. It's a perfect coastal bolthole for a romantic getaway or as a base for young families to explore the cliffs, coves and castles of North Cornwall.
Perfect for young (or young at heart) couples or young families, this cosy self-contained annex is small but packed with charm. An airy, light filled common area boasts an ingenious locally made dining table that can fold away according to your need, and a kitchenette provides basic amenities. If you fall victim to one too many pints of Doom Bar or Rattler, the sofa pulls out into a double bed in the common area. The penthouse option, however, is to embrace your inner child and climb the boat ladder into the rafters, amid the surfboards, where you will find a double bed mattress ready for you on the mezzanine floor. Opposite your nighttime eyrie a porthole window allows you to drift to sleep with the lights of Port Isaac twinkling from across the bay. In the morning you can take your breakfast al fresco on the patio with the bay door open to let the sea air fill your lungs. You can't beat the super cosy, beach hut vibes and panoramic views of the Tintagel coastline. The smell of surf board wax playfully teasing your nostrils at night is a real master stroke. In fact, our two overgrown children and their ever expanding families love staying in the Shack so much that they keep coming back down to stay - and they seem to expect feeding! So please book in and give us an excuse to turn our vulture-like offspring away so we can live our golden years in peace.
The tiny hamlet of Tregatta is nestled amid an area of outstanding natural beauty which clings to some of the most rugged and awe inspiring cliffs in Cornwall. If you cross a neighbouring field you will find yourselves on a cliff path that, if you turn left you end up on Trebarwith Strand beach within 15 minutes; a surfing mecca and set for numerous famous films. If you turn right and take a twenty minute ramble you'll discover a tangle of ruins perched precariously on a wind-battered rock. These ancient bricks have inspired folklore, legend and even a symphony. It is Tintagel Castle; an English Heritage site linked to the ancient Kings of Dumnonia, Tristan and Isolde and King Arthur’s conception. Within short driving distance are nationally acclaimed restaurants, world class seafood and award winning farm shops, not to mention the idyllic Cornish villages of Boscastle, Port Isaac and Padstow. If you fell in love with the set of the BBC's Poldark you'll fall in love with our corner of Cornwall; although Grayburn scything grass topless leaves much to be desired compared to Aidan Turner.
  • Great location, fabulous hosts.

  • Wonderful stay in such a beautiful place. Would recommend the surf shack to anybody and our hosts were very welcoming.

  • Lovely set up and a great stay at the surf shack. Grayburn and Joanna were very welcoming and we had a great stay! Only downside is not having a stovetop

    Lucy2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Surf Shack is ace! Small, compact and bijou, but just perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. Thanks to Storm Brian we couldn't use any of the outdoor space, but it's right next to the South West Coast Path so we walked (carefully!) to Trebarwith Strand and back. easily. The Shack is properly private, but if we'd needed anything, Grayburn & Jo would have helped us out. If we had been staying longer, a hob would have been good, but for a weekend break it was just perfect as it was. And the bottle of fizz on arrival was just lovely :)

    Jennifer2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • I've spent the best days of my life!!! Lovely hostesses, lovely house with everything that you need, with breathtaking views. Friendly locals, good food, what more can we ask?!

    Marta2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Surf Shack for a week early September and would highly recommend it. Its a lovely place in a perfect location if you want to explore North Cornwall. its close to the coastal path and if you are lucky with the weather you can have breakfast outside overlooking the sea. Grayburn and Jo have been really helpful in recommending places to see and things to do.

    Katrin2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay at this beautiful 'shack', the views were stunning and the welcome we received was so friendly. Jo and Grayburn were such brilliant hosts and made us feel at home during our stay. Would definitely come again and would advise anyone coming to this area to stay here!

    Tom2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a couple of nights whilst walking South West Coastal Path which is about half mile away, great place to stay albeit a little out of town but that really suited us! Would certainly stay again, Jo and Grayburn are great hosts!

Mill Cottage is a delightful, cosy 3 bedroom cottage with character and lots of charm, in a quiet location in the beautiful north Cornwall countryside. Mill Cottage is a 200 year old stone built barn conversion that has been tastefully renovated and refurbished and yet has retained its character. With 3 bedrooms, it comfortably sleeps 6 - perfect for families, couples or friends! There is also space for a travel cot in the double and one of the twin rooms.
Situated 1.5 miles from the stunning Bossiney Haven beach and coastal path, Mill Cottage is in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" and is the perfect place to spend a peaceful and relaxed holiday.  The hamlet of Trevillet feels deep in the countryside with stunning sea views over unspoilt rolling countryside, but is actually only 2 miles from the popular town of Tintagel with all its shops and restaurants. Here you will find the castle, the coastal path, Cornwall’s highest waterfall, beautiful woodlands and some of the finest sandy beaches only a beautiful stroll or 5 minute drive away. The cottage is equipped with everything you need to have a comfortable stay - whether you want to fully self-cater, or whether you'd prefer to take advantage of the many local restautrants, cafes and pubs. The enclosed garden provides seating and space to sit, relax, and listen to birdsong and breathe in the sea air.  With no through traffic to the hamlet, Trevillett is quiet enough for your children to explore the lanes and public footpaths right on the doorstep.  At night the display of stars is breathtaking, as is the sea view from the end of the lane.
Mill Cottage is in Trevillett, a beautiful little hamlet near Tintagel. The perfect spot for a getaway!
  • What a lovely cottage. Really well equipped. We found it really relaxing. The location was really peaceful and relaxing. Then in the car 5 minutes drive and surrounded by amenities. The accommodation was really spacious for a cottage. It was lovely and private. The owners have made provision for everything you could need. Only tip I could suggest is take a torch for any evening wanderings. The directions provided were spot on. Sat Nav is great but sometimes you need some old fashioned direction, and that was crucial specially at the end!

    Dawn2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you like to get away from the maddening crowd this cottage is a rustic treat. Outside of Tintagel so no noise or disturbances in a lovely small stone cottage which was perfectly sized for three of us. The neighbours were very friendly and it has other cottages in close proximity so you don't feel isolated. The weather was dreadful on the whole, so we were happy there was a DVD player and plenty of games in the cupboard! The owners were very accommodating & responsive for checkin and checkout although we didn't meet them.

Our recently converted loft space comprises a large, light and airy bedroom with king size bed. We are able to provide a travel cot for infants. There is also a private shower room and a sitting room, which has a double futon bed, which could sleep an additional adult. We offer a continental breakfast.
Our loft space was converted 18 months ago and has only been used occasionally for family guest members. It is light, bright and spacious and we hope you feel comfortable and at home during your stay. The bedroom sleeps 2. Additional guests can sleep on the futon or sofa in the living room, although you should be aware that there is no separate door between the lounge area and our main house downstairs. It is separated by the staircase. Bedding is provided. The dramatic Cornish coastline is a 2 minute walk away and nearby beach Trebarwith Strand is just a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away. The historic village of Tintagel is 1 mile away, a 15 minute walk or 25 minutes walk along the coast.
Treknow is a quiet but friendly hamlet. There are no facilities in Treknow itself, but we are just 1 mile (15 minutes walk) to the famous village of Tintagel and a 15 minute walk to Trebarwith Strand, which has a pub, cafe and beach shop.
  • Karen was very friendly and welcoming. The house was very nice, clean and spacious. The location was also very convenient. Would definitely recommend!

  • Karen & Tristan were warm & welcoming. Their home was clean and fresh with a beautiful view. They even brought us warm cinnamon rolls & croissants for breakfast!

    Terri2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a terrific holiday staying at Karen and Tristan's home. There is plenty of parking (easily accommodating our van, trailer and motorcycle) and the loft conversion is very well appointed with probably the most comfortable bed I've experienced! The views from the loft over the idyllic Tintagel headland are delightful and on a good day you can see over Widemouth bay to the spooky GCHQ listening station north of Bude. Tintagel itself is about a 45 minute walk over the spectacular cliff tops and I'm glad to say the village has maintained it's character and charm despite the pressure of commercialism. Boscastle (beautiful!) is a 15 minute ride/drive, Eden project 45 minutes, Fowey 1hr, Port Isaac 20 minutes etc....this is a well situated base for a sighseeing holiday. If you fancy a swim Trebarwith Strand is a 20 minute (steep!) walk and the beach there is safe and clean, great for the kids. Karen and Tristan were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and their two kiddies were a delight...they have a lovely house and we felt like privileged guests staying there and we can thoroughly recommend this charming abode for a traditional Cornish holiday.

    Neil2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and her family were the most terrific hosts. The loft was setup perfectly for us with loads of little touches to really make us feel welcome. My children loved it there too which made the experience all the better. The location is perfect for exploring that region, the coastal path in that area of Cornwall is stunning.

    Will2016-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay - we were welcomed with lovely cream tea and freshly baked bread by our host. We were walking the Coastal path and it is very close, although beware that it's quite a hike to Tintagel from Treknow if you are just popping in to the town!

    Tim2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and Tristan made us feel very welcome in their light and airy bedroom. Lots of really nice touches, extremely clean and beautifully decorated, with a cracking cream tea and croissants and fresh fruit for breakfast. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Karen is a very sympathic women and we had a pleasant stay at her home, with two separate rooms.

    Gautier2016-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was very helpful with directions to find her place, really welcoming despite how late we finally arrived and the place was just awesome, even better than you can see in the photos. Great space, clean, roomy and full of light. There was breakfast ready for us to have in the morning, with home made jam! Lovely place to stay, I'd definitely repeat whenever I come back to Cornwall.

Our cottage is a 200 year-old two-storey semi-detached house surrounded by open fields with beautiful views towards the sea and direct access to the footpath to the beach at Trebarwith Strand. Over the years we've carefully restored the cottage to produce a calm, restful retreat (and a second home for us).
The cottage has immediate access to the surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand; it's an easy 10-minute walk down the marked footpath. It's warm and cosy in all Cornish weathers with effective heating (if you need it, it's free), with the main windows double-glazed. In addition there’s a welcoming open fireplace you can get going (wood and coal available locally). The kitchen has all the equipment you need. There's a fridge with frozen food compartment and a microwave for quick meals. You'll also find a toaster, coffee maker, sandwich toaster and plenty of cooking equipment, china and glasses. There's a large pine dining table that sits 6 people. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms one with a comfortable double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe space, bedside tables and lights. The second bedroom has two single beds again with bedside tables, lights, a chest of drawers and a hanging space. This room has a cupboard containing the hot water tank (no charge for hot water). The bathroom has a bath with a shower over the bath+glass screen, a loo, washbasin and heated towels rail. Outside the front door is a small space and washing line, adjacent to the beach footpath.
Because our cottage is on the edge of the village next to a single-track rural lane, the atmosphere is complete peace and quiet. All you'll hear is the birds and the sheep bleating when they're in the field next to the cottage.
  • Lovely cosy cottage with great little open fire place, in really good location for exploring the Atlantic coastline - Trebarwith Strand is a great place to walk down to with some lovely walks along the cliffs and the local pubs are really good too. Also the fudge shop in Tintagel (Granny Wobbly's) is the best fudge in Cornwall! We had a great stay

    James2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little spot right on the coastal path which made it perfect to take my dog for nice walks. The view from the sitting room is to die for. We had a lovely peaceful and enjoyable stay.

  • David's location is a warranty for a splendid holiday. The view and the environment are superb. Visiting Tintagel castle is a must

    peter2017-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for three nights in David's cottage, and wish we could have been there for a month. The cottage was charming, perfect for our family of three (though equally perfect for four). It was blissfully quiet—no traffic noise, no overhead planes, only the occasional sound of sheep in the neighboring field. The view from the living room window was beautiful, a wonderful place to sit and read. The kitchen was very spacious and well equipped with pots and pans. The location was gorgeous: a ten minute walk to a beautiful beach at low tide, where our son had a fantastic time boogie boarding, transformed at high tide to a rocky cove with crashing waves. We took cliff walks in both directions on the coastal path, and the landscape was stunning, with very few other walkers to be seen. We had an excellent meal on evening at the Port William pub on top of the cliff; the Mill House restaurant nearby was slightly disappointing by comparison, and more expensive. David was helpful with suggestions and very available both online in making our plans, and easily reached by phone when we could not get the cottage door open. Highly recommended, we hope to be back one day.

    Rebecca2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage in a great location that felt really homely. Spacious rooms (although bathroom fairly cosy) and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Fairly easy walk down into Trebarwith and easy access for the coastal path. Good communication from David. Thanks for a great stay.

    Lynne2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. When we arrived, it was easy to find according to David's instructions, including the parking space. The house was warm and cosy, equipped with everything that we needed. Walking down to the beach was lovely - about a 15 minute walk and great to have the public footpath right outside your back door, especially if you have a dog as we did! We didn't get to see the local beach at low tide but it was a pleasant cove, none-the-less. Local area offers great places to explore, for hidden gems and more commercial places such as Tintagel and Boscastle. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay. Thank you David

  • Tolles Haus, ruhig gelegen, stilvoll.

    Barbara2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • This house is a real find. We have stayed in many in Cornwall over the years and this is the best so far. It is deceptively big and really light and airy. The weather wasn't great and it was lovely to light the wood burner. Great that the owners provide a good supply of logs. We were really toasty. The views from the sitting room are stunning and the wet room was great with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The hamlet itself is quiet and we took the dog and walked along the coast path which you can access from the doorstep. Tregardock beach (10min walk) was stunning and we had it entirely to ourselves! Incredible. Thank you Nic for the welcome pack which was great after a long drive. We will definitely be booking again.

    Rebecca2015-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 2nd stay in as many months, but this time we brought friends along for the trip. They also fell in love with the house. It's well-designed and decorated with lots of homely touches that really make it feel like a home from home. The garden isn't dog-proof, but the area is so quiet this isn't really an issue if you have obedient dogs! Beaches and towns are all close by too, so you can take day trips out and then come back to the seclusion of the house. Hoping to return in the Summer!

    Cassie2016-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • 'Cerrick' is a lovely, comfortable and spacious cottage. It is close to many beautiful Cornish areas of interest for fun and enjoyable days out. Bread, butter, eggs, milk etc is a nice homely touch awaiting arrival and adds to the warmth and cosiness of the cottage in general. There are plenty of rooms to relax in with space for the entire family to chill together or curl up with a book by yourself. The village is pretty, small, quiet and very Cornish with it's slate and stone buildings. We will definitely book again.

  • Beautiful cottage which met the description perfectly. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Area is perfect for exploring on both sunny and wet (we had several) days. Location is great for all Cornish localities. Wonderful hosts - and fab neighbours next door who were helpful and welcoming.

  • We loved staying in the Lantern Cottage! Although the boys had to sleep in one room we did not experience any problems as the lower bed of the bedbunks was broad enough for us to fit in, reading books and waiting until the kids slept. The sofa was huge and very comfortable. So was our bed in the main bedroom. I loved the bed linen. We used the washing machine and the dryer frequently, which was ideal! Kids loved the trampoline and the Legos which was left behind for them. I would certainly recommend this cottage for a week at the beach.

  • The perfect holiday cottage. The cottage was beautifully presented, and really homely. Everything you could need was provided and there was a great guidebook in he cottage with recommendations of things to do. The contact from Will and Bibo before the trip was spot on and we really loved the location. Highly recommended!

  • This was our favourite place to stay of our three vacation homes via airbnb in the UK. All contact with the hosts was pleasant, we felt very welcome, the cottage was personal and felt like a home but at the same time had been cleaned up so that it didn't feel too private but let us feel we could make it into our vacation home as well. As we often ate in (and like cooking well), we were especially pleased the kitchen was very well equipped. As we could also use condiments etc. it made everything very easy for us. It was a very pleasant stay indeed! Our nine-year-old was very sad to leave and kept talking about "the first house" during the rest of our UK-vacation. Although our three kids had to share one room, everybody was quite happy. We also made thankful use of the tips given by the hosts for things to do "off the beaten track" and visited great places we wouldn't otherwise have found. Of course the location in general was also fantastic, northern Cornwall being so beautiful. In short: we felt very comfortable and welcome and relaxed in this cottage and can truly recommend it as a very friendly place. (Nice neighbours, too!)

Double bedroom with an exclusive bathroom both with spectacular views across Port Isaac bay. Our home is in the pretty and tranquil village of Treknow on Cornwalls rugged north coast and is a traditional victorian house which we have spent 2 years renovating to a luxurious standard. I have another listing for a twin room if you need 2 rooms. Delicious breakast either cooked; bacon, eggs, slow roasted tomatoes with marjoram and rosemary, mushrooms and toast OR Granola and fresh fruit, yum!
Spektakulär und weit rangeing Blick über Port Isaac Bay. Schön Zimmer mit sehr bequemen Doppelbett ausgestattet. Ihr eigenes Bad ist gleich nebenan.
The greatest feature of where we live is the vast amount of beautiful and varied countryside within easy reach of our house. Ancient fishing villages, the spectacular costal path, the wild beauty of Bodmin Moor, steep wooded river valleys, mysterious Tintagel Head, St Nectans Glen, there is something for everyone to enjoy. We are within easy walking distance of 2 great pubs, The Mill House Inn is a short but steep 10min walk down the road serving restaurant standard food whilst The Port William Inn is a beautful 20min walk across the cliffs and has one of the best pub views in the UK. Of course you could also drive to them but it would be a shame!

  • We were new to Airbnb and booked to stay in Treknow for a night as part of our south west England road trip. It was such a pleasure to stay with Andy and his family, who made us feel right at home. The house and room we had were absolutely beautiful, and our room had breathtaking views of the valley and sea. We felt very comfortable here and would love to stay here again. Thank you to Andy and his family for their hospitality.

  • Had a fantastic couple of days in Treknow with Andrew and his family. Andrew was particularly helpful with suggestions and ideas for places to visit. Our room was clean and very comfortable with lovely views from both the bedroom and the bathroom. Highly recommended.

  • This was our first experience with Airbnb. We rented this Beautiful bedroom for 2 nights in March 2016. Andrew and Squidge (his adorable dog) were great hosts. Both the private room and bathroom were perfect- the home is stunning and immaculate. Lots of wooden beams, solid oak furniture etc. We particularly liked sleeping under the skylight with the starry night sky above us. My husband is a pescaterian and Andrew accommodated him with some lovely smoked salmon, eggs and veggies for breakfast. We enjoyed some very pleasant conversations- Andrew is a really nice guy! Port William is just down the (steep) hill. We enjoyed a wonderful sunset and some beers. Also close by and worth a visit are; Tintagel Castle, St Nectan's Glen, Quaint Boscastle and Port Isaac. All in all a very positive experience- thanks Andrew!

  • I would highly recommend a stay with Andy at Overdene. The house and the views are stunning, and Andy is a superb host. The Millhouse Inn is only a short 10 minute walk away, no need for a car. From the doorstep are stunning coastal walks and within a 30 minute drive you can easily reach the likes of Polzeath and Port Isaac.

Barn Owl Cottage is a beautifully furnished barn conversion, set in 20 acres of an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our farm nestles into the countryside, right on the edge of wild and romantic Bodmin Moor - just 7m from the beach. Ideal for families or couples.
Traditional Barn Owl Cottage simply ooozes charm, has stunning views and spacious accommodation. This character Cottage, with its querky upside-down arrangement, has gorgeous soft furnishings and offers a relaxing atmosphere with loads of exposed stonework and beams. Set in an almost secret valley on the edge of Bodmin Moor – but only 10 minutes from civilisation ! Barn Owl Cottage is a fabulous light and airy barn conversion only 5m from the beach. There is the added bonus of a hot tub and sauna :o)) Ideal to unwind and let those cares drift away. Our water is from our own spring and it's delicious :o))) Steppes Farm has a magical caring atmosphere that you notice the moment you arrive. It is a pleasure living here and we are delighted to share our home with you guys, who I hope will enjoy it as much as we do ! We love having visitors to stay in the beautiful Cornish countryside of this fabulous part of Britain. At night the only noises are the hoot of owls and the snuffling of nocturnal wildlife. On clear nights (no light pollution here), the skies are inky black and dotted with a million stars, the most incredible that I have seen anywhere in the world - best viewed from the hot tub – the perfect end to a perfect day x Bodmin Moor is now a designated International Dark Sky Landscape. The very first classified Dark Sky Park in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The modern paintings on the walls and the careful design of each room have been put together with an eye for style and comfort. White Dove Cottage is warm in winter with a cosy coal burner, while being cool and refreshing in summer. We are happy to provide the usual comfy towels and linens.
Poldark, King Arthur, Daphne du Maurier, Agatha Christie, Rosamunde Pilcher - all inspired by the beautiful coastline and countryside on our doorstep and let’s not forget Doc Martin which is filmed at Port Isaac. We are a quiet rural neighbourhood, where everyone works hard and lends each other a helping hand when necessary.

  • Adrian and Karen were very helpful and hospitable so made us feel at home throughout our stay. We really appreciated the provision of a cot for baby's first holiday. Also, the hot water bottles waiting in our beds on arrival were a welcome surprise as it was very cold out. The hot tub and sauna were a real experience on a clear night, and it was lovely to return to the cosy fire afterwards. Accommodation was beautifully clean and well-presented - would definitely recommend! Thank you.

  • A wonderful place to unwind in the countryside. Karen and her husband were extremely helpful, and the cottage is set up for guests, with loads of tips for the local area. The cottage itself could use a few lamps for a cosier evening atmosphere, and it was too bad that candles were banned from being used. The fireplace uses coal, not wood, so its a bit tricky to get started, but Karen was able to help. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend away.

  • We especially loved the cosy and friendly atmosphere at Owl Cottage an the whole Steppes Farm. Everything is placed with love. We missed nothing, it felt like home! But we already miss the beautiful landscape and all the lovely roommates around the farm, like the horses, the hens and Philip, the geese and ducks and Toffee too.

    Andre2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts made us very welcome the cottage was lovely with a great communal area and wood burner which we took full advantage of, you didn't feel you wanted to go out every evening because it was so cosy. The cottage was very tastefully furnished and had everything you required. The farm was obviously inland but in a very pretty, quiet area and easy to get out and about to the many beautiful locations, so long as you had a car. The hot tub was great and we used it every day at varying times, never a problem getting a slot that you wanted. One of the nicest self catering apartments we have stayed in.

  • We enjoyed a relaxing break at Stepps Farm, hosts were very welcoming and the beautiful cottage had everything we needed. Our 2 boys had a great time and loved horse riding and the hot tub.

  • Great place, great location, very friendly hosts. Enjoyed the hot tub as the sun was setting. We all loved the animals especially my 7 yr old daughter. The cottage was very clean and we had everything we needed. Very peaceful. Would definitely go again and I would recommend it.

    Sweet Cottage with Hot Tub/Sauna

My place is a grade ll listed cottage, it's recently been renovated . It's very cosy with a lovely log burner , new central heating so it's very warm, beautiful vaulted ceilings upstairs with large velux windows. The kitchen is open plan with patio doors leading out to the garden which gets sunshine all day. The garden has great countryside and distant sea views. There is two lovely restauarants/pubs within a mile radius, which serve great food and local ales. The beach is within a mile
The property has 2 large car spaces. As you walk through the front door you will enter the porch. Through the porch is the lounge which has a smart Tv , real log burner , two large sofas , a DVD player and a Sonos music speaker. Upstairs the bathroom is the first room, which has a bath, shower and a toilet. The bedroom has a very comfortable memory foamed king bed, with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, tv and DVD player. The kitchen has all usual utensils, it has a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven and espresso machine. The garden has wonderful distant sea views and overlooks the valley with lush green fields, it has a large lawned area with table chairs and a BBQ. The garden gets sunshine all day and there is a wonderful sunset, setting in between the valley with the beautiful ocean in the distance. The local beach trebarwith strand is a 20 minute walk down a footpath, its downhill from the house and a slight to moderate incline back up, at the beach you will find a lovely pub restaurant called the port William which I think is the best pub around on a summers evening for admiring the great views. Tintagel is a 5 minute drive away, that has a lot to offer, one being king Arthur's castle. Port Issac is a 20 minute drive away also.
It's a very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. The coastline in this part of the world is very rugged and beautiful , the coastal footpaths here I feel are second to none and the beaches are fantastic and most of all my house will make you not want to leave.
  • This is a fantastic cottage in a great location, really near to Tintagel Castle and Polzeath / Trebarwith for surfing. We really liked the facilities and 'luxuries' provided! It was a good size for rainy days too. :) It's finished to a really high standard which meant it was a great place to stay!

  • Great cottage in a quiet location close to Tintagel and Boscastle. Secluded little garden which was great for us and our Labrador. Had a nice week staying in Danny's cottage... would recommend!

Shutta Park is a converted barn full of home from home touches having been the owner's home until 2008. We are open all the year so enjoy the beaches, walking, cycling and many more activities. In the winter months come back to the house and enjoy the warmth of the wood burner. There is a garden and ample off road private parking.
Shutta Park sleeps 4 people plus we have a cot for a baby, high chair and stair gate. There is a utility room with separate toilet, washing machine and small freezer together with ample room for coats, boots etc. The boiler is also in the utility room which provides the heating and hot water. The utility room is accessed from the outside parking spaces and you can then access the main house via stairs from the utility room. This takes you up to the lounge/dining room where you will find 2 leather sofas and a comfortable seating area. There is a dining room table and chairs together with large pine dresser, display cabinet, television and unit with TV and DVD player. From this area you enter the kitchen which is very well equipped with electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher etc. From the kitchen you will enter a large entrance hall with bookcase full of books, maps and useful information, walks etc. There are stable doors out from the hall onto the patio area. There is a large bathroom with bath and shower over, toilet and vanity unit. There is a large double bedroom with oak bed, blanket box, wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables and chest of draws. The twin room has 2 oak single beds, oak bedside unit, dressing table and fitted wardrobes and plenty of room. Shutta Park has full central heating and wood and coal are supplied should you require the use of the wood burning stove. Outside is a patio area with bench and seating and from the drive you will find the garden with summerhouse which has an additional fridge, BBQ and seating. There is also a clothes line available. There is a lock up garage where bikes, wet suits etc can be stored. All bed linen and towels provided. Tea towels, dish clothes and all washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets etc all left to make your stay as easy as possible. We ask that you please bring your own beach towels but if you are travelling from abroad we can provide towels for the beach. Electricity is included.
Treknow is a quiet hamlet just above the beach at Trebarwith. During the summer months we have the most amazing sunsets some evenings and it is a must to BBQ outside the summerhouse and watch the sunsets go down and enjoy a glass of bubbly, the local ales of perhaps some Cornish cider (or all if you wish!) If time permits I am happy to make guests a Cornish pasty from local ingredients or perhaps a Cornish cream tea.
  • Just back from Cornwall having had a fantastic weekend which was made all the better for staying at Shutta Park. We really landed on our feet as Julie was the perfect hostess! From the moment the cottage was booked Julie was available to answer any queries and, during our stay, managed to perfectly judge being accessible in case of any issues/queries etc without being in the least intrusive. The property itself is beautiful decorated, clean, extremely comfortable, a real home from home and to be honest, we didn’t really want to leave!! I’d recommend the property without hesitation to anyone needing a place in Cornwall and a huge part of that is down to Julie who helped make our weekend a really memorable one. Thank you for having us!!!!

  • What a great place to stay in such wonderful surroundings! We love this area and it was great to find such comfortable and cosy accommodation. Julie and Clive were great hosts, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The banana muffins were particularly delicious! We hope to return soon. Libby, Alex, Matilda and Noah.

  • Absolutely stunning property and location. Everything you need for a Cornish getaway. Host was in contact with us before we arrived and welcomed us with lovely homemade cakes. The place was spotlessly clean, well equipped and had very comfy beds. The log burner was simply amazing, perfect thing to come back to after a day exploring North Cornwall. I couldn't recommend walking along the coast path enough. We got the bus to Boscastle and walked to the great pub at Trebarwith (about 10 miles in total but views made the effort worth it!). 100% recommend this property, superb quality and great value for money! Thank you Julie and Clive!!

    Marc2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Clive were amazing hosts! My husband and I (along with his parents) arrived to find a very neat and tidy cottage with delicious homemade carrot cake waiting for us. Julie and Clive offered some great suggestions as to what to see/do in the local area. They are very friendly and hospitable. Shutta Park is a great find! The beds are comfortable and the living room is cozy with a fireplace for chilly nights. We loved the outdoor patio area and made some great memories. We wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend booking Shutta Park. You will not be disappointed.

  • Julie gave us a wonderful welcome and lots of information about the house and area. The house itself was charming, spotless and roomy and the area quiet and peaceful.

    Margrit2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was very welcoming, and was on hand to answer any questions we had. She also bakes a wicked cookie! We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is homely and roomy enough for four of us to have enough space to ourselves. It's in a quiet village (watch the narrow roads!) a short distance from Tintagel. The walk to the castle took much longer than we'd expected but was lovely. All in all, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay, and would return again. Highly recommended.

    Jacqueline2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was a lovely and generous host: the communication was excellent, she made us a delicious carrot cake (and shared the recipe - can't wait to try it!) and made the fire for us one evening because we wanted to try it out. The house is spotless and has everything you need. The location is excellent - near the castle in Tintagel but also close enough for day trips to other villages on the coast. It's also perfectly located for walks around the coastline. The drive up to the village offers a scenic and authentic view of Cornwall though the narrow one-way lanes are not for the faint hearted! Everything was excellent and we had a lovely autumnal stay!

    Simona2016-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • A very warm welcome awaited us at Shutta Park, including homemade muffins, a lovely touch. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bedrooms are spacious and modern, the living area warm and cozy with a log burner which was laid for us on arrival. Julie, the owner, could not have done more to ensure we had everything we needed for our short break.

  • Great communication with Jenny to book the chalet for the weekend. Check in was simple and the chalet spotless. Very comfortable with lovely homely touches. The dog was more than happy to roam around the decking. The view from the living room was beautiful, rolling hills with cattle. The holiday park itself is nice and quiet and spotless. Great weekend was had by all.

  • This is an amazing place to stay. Four of us stayed and had a great time. Bossiney Cove is stunning and, if you get the chance, try to do the Rocky Valley walk which starts almost from the mobile home itself. The whole coastline is as picturesque as anywhere else in the UK and Jenny's place has everything you could ask for. The WiFi is fine for those who worry about such things and Jenny's communication is first rate. Nothing was too much. Overall a fantastic experience throughout
