A wonderful pub right by the River Dart which has sitting to enjoy watching the boats and canoes come upon the rising tide. Also nice tables with river views inside on a colder evening, best to book before hand.

Once owned by the D'Oyly Carte family this is a beautiful house and gardens to visit.

Once owned by the D'Oyly Carte family this is a beautiful house and gardens to visit.
Agatha Christie's summer home - now run any the National Trust. Glorious gardens and a fascinating house - was also used by the Americans during World War II and has a wonderful mural in the sitting room.

Take a day trip to Salcombe to visit Overbecks, a spot of shopping and maybe an explore along the coastal path to Bolts Head. If it is lovely and hot you can take a dip at South Sands or one of the hidden coves. A nice day out for families, but busy in summer.

Beautiful walks all along our coastline - cliffs or beaches - bring your hiking boots, some of it can be a bit steep!

Stunning views and walks over the moor - children will love seeing wild ponies and sheep all over the roads! Look up 'Letter boxing" and see if you can find a few.

Definitely worth a visit - children can 'Find the Artefact' or 'Hunt the Mouse' (or you could suggest they try feeling for the ghost!!

Dartmouth has a history reaching back for centuries and this is a great little museum with some hands on activities for children - learn how to tie ships knots or put your parents into the stocks!
