An easy walk away with outdoor and indoor seating. Try the lamb burger or mussels! Or anything really.. I haven't had anything bad here. They also serve cocktails.

The original Roberta's outpost and one of my fav NY pizzas. Try the bee sting! It's a quick Uber ride away, but if you don't feel like visiting, you can also order delivery.

Take the subway to the beach! You can take a surf lesson, rent a bike and ride or stroll down the boardwalk. I love the frozen sangria's and arepas at Caracas, but there are lots of food and drink options along the boardwalk. On the weekends there are often bands too! Also the tacos, margaritas and scene at rockaway surf club is worth checking out a short walk away.

The Weeksville Heritage Center is directly behind the apartment and can be seen from the back garden. You can tour the historic homes or just take a few minutes to walk around the corner to view the beautiful grounds from out front and imagine how Brooklyn looked in the 19th century.

Take a terrifying ride on the Cyclone - the second-steepest wooden roller coaster in the world and a 94 year old NYC landmark. Grab a hot dog or fried clams at Nathan's, admire the wonder wheel and take in a freak show, visit the aquarium or watch the summer fireworks. The actual beach is nicer in the Rockaways imho, but this somewhat seedy beach beach makes for a fun day.
