Slow Meadow Glamping Guide

Sightseeing
Exmouth is a lovely seaside town with wide spacious beaches. Water sports are popular - kite surfing and stand up body boarding and the waters are safe for children. The beach at the far end is dog friendly all year round. There's a lovely coastal walk from Exmouth to Budleigh Salterton. Parking is easy, with spaces and car parks lining the seafront. Crispies in the town has the best fish and chips! Drive in, pick up your food and then park on the seafront. The smell of the sea air always enhances the taste experience!

On the Jurassic coast, the beaches are both sandy and pebbly. Lyme Regis has a lovely town, with shops to browse selling fossils, gifts and local foods. It's quite a hilly place, some of the parking is just out of town, within walking distance, it's downhill on the way and uphill after a tiring day on the beach! But perfectly doable. If you prefer there are car parks closer to the seafront, which cost a little more. It's lovely to walk along the seafront promenade, which is lined with places to eat, including fish and chip stands which cook up the catch of the day as well as the traditional cod or haddock. Boat trips to catch mackerel are a great way to experience the open sea and take your catch home to barbecue. The Cobb Arms has a wonderful seafood menu.

Lynton is high up above Lynmouth. It's a lovely town with arty gift shops to browse and places to eat. The cliff railway can take you down into Lynmouth, or you can walk down if you prefer. The harbour provides a lovely stroll. It's also lovely to walk along the cliffs, on a sunny day the sea has a beautiful turquoise shimmer and wild goats live on the craggy path!
