The Flask is a Grade II listed public house at 74–76 Highgate West Hill, Highgate, London. According to the 1936 Survey of London, a pub known as The Flask has stood on this spot since "at least as early as 1663". The Flask has its own legends which may or may not be true. It is said that the highwayman Dick Turpin hid from the law in the stables there, that the artist William Hogarth drank at the bar and even that Karl Marx was a customer.

Parks & Nature

The Parkland Walk is the longest Linear Nature Reserve in London at 4km in length, and follows the former railway line connecting Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace which opened in 1873. Its fame is now global as it often features on 'must do' lists for visitors looking for something different. There is an entrance right by the flat, and a recommended walk is to follow it to Crouch End.

It includes Parliament Hill, Golders Hill Park (with a zoo and butterfly house), an open air Lido (open 365 days a year), swimming ponds, playgrounds and plenty of trees to climb! It is easy to get lost, but the park have visitors happy to give directions at any time of day!

It includes Parliament Hill, Golders Hill Park (with a zoo and butterfly house), an open air Lido (open 365 days a year), swimming ponds, playgrounds and plenty of trees to climb! It is easy to get lost, but the park have visitors happy to give directions at any time of day!
Highgate Wood is 28 hectares of ancient woodland in north London and located about 10 minutes walk from the flat. It is a haven for wildlife and provides numerous easily accessible and scenic woodland trails. There is an excellent playground, a renowned café, an information hut with leaflets and trail guides, and well maintained toilet facilities.
