This is the first landmark you’ll notice upon reaching the downtown area in Silay City, the oldest bakery and restaurant in the city and one of the oldest in Negros, if not the oldest. Don’t miss tasting the specialty of this place, the famous guapple pie. The bakery was established in the 1920’s by the late Cesar Lacson – Locsin and operates daily from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM located at 118 Rizal Street.

Parks & Nature
One of the features of the park are matching sculptures depicting a woman standing alongside a water buffalo and that of a man pulling another water buffalo. These sculptures are located at the northern and southern ends of the lagoon. These figures were executed by Italian sculpture Francesco Riccardo Monti who also did the sculptures of the Metropolitan Manila Theater and the University of the Philippines - Visayas Iloilo campus. Guillermo Tolentino also contributed as a sculptor of the figures. This is just 3 minutes walk from the condo

This is also the home of the Mudpack Festival celebrated every 3rd week of June.
To get there, take a Libertad jeep from the city proper and tell the driver to drop you at the jeepney terminal to Murcia. Travel time is about 45 minutes to an hour and costs less than Php 50.
