One of my favourite places to eat. Excellent food, both western and thai. Very good value. Open for lunch and dinner. I really enjoy eating here - it is family-run with very friendly and efficient staff.

An "alternative hang-out joint". Very interesting architecture. Tables and chairs are on the beach with beautiful views over looking the bay and a white sandy beach. The food is fresh and very tasty, both thai and western.

A new resort that is more "up-market", with excellent food and beach-side views. Food and drink are a bit more expensive than the other resorts and restaurants mentioned, but the abience is great, peaceful and chic.

A wonderful place to eat, sitting by a white sandy beach. I recomend you stick to western food (which is tasty and fresh), as the thai is not as good as in the other restaurants. They have a buffet breakfast too, from 7.30am. Prices are very reasonable.

Part of the famous chain of resorts. Very chic and modern. Excellent service. A lot more expensive than other restaurants in the area, but it is worth it.

Perfect for a night out, clubs, shopping and even a drag-artist show. There is a stadium to watch Mui Thai Boxing. But please be aware, parking is not easy here.

Chaweng is about a 35-40min drive, on the east coast. It is the main tourist area of Koh Samui. Very busy and noisy, ideal for young people who want to party. Perfect for a night out, clubs, shopping and even a drag-artist show. There is a stadium to watch Mui Thai Boxing. But please be aware, parking is not easy here.
I love Fisherman's Village in Bohput. The area is busy and touristy but retains a calm and sophisticated ambience. Excellent for shopping, restaurants and bars. If you are going further afield, I recomend a visit.
