Just across the road is a beautiful, large, old Whiskey pub with fireplaces and a beer garden. Nancy's has an amazing collection of old Whiskeys, Vodka and Rum.
They offer tasty pub food downstairs and have a very good restaurant upstairs, with fantastic Irish steaks.
Good spot to have a few pints and chats with the locals and experience Irish music.

You can buy a 3 day ticket for dublinbikes here with a credit card and get around the whole city on bike. You pick a bike, cycle all across town or to your destination, park the bike at any of the many parking spots and when you want to head back to the apartment just pick another bike at any of the city's parking spots.

The Hop-on Hop-off bus stops here. You can see the whole of Dublin using the HOHO bus, which stops right outside the apartment

The Airlink bus goes from the Airport to Heuston Station (and back) for 6 Euro one-way or 10 Euro return.
Trains from Heuston go to the country side, giving you direct access to Cork, Galway, Waterford and Limerick. A train to Galway will cost you around 36.00 euro (irishrail.ie).
The Luas tram stops here to giving you direct access to the city centre and the International Financial Services Centre.
There is also a taxi ramp here, but along Parkgate street hailing a taxi is never an issue
