Originally destined merely to be the precursor to the upstairs bar, the room has become one the most luxurious in the city, thanks to those gurus of NYC nightlife design, Sean MacPherson and Eric Goode. Here they have created a stylish and elegant space, tastefully appointed, with an abundance of wood panelling, vintage leather, wide Persian rugs and a historic mural.

Undoubtedly the first thing to notice after stepping off the elevator on the 60th floor of the midcentury 28 Liberty St. tower, where Danny Meyer’s new FiDi restaurant Manhatta lives, is the view. Behind the walnut and granite bar, the rest of downtown Manhattan is visible, and the dining room also looks out onto the East River, the Manhattan Bridge, and Brooklyn. Such a treat if you are sightseeing in the area.

The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long elevated linear park, greenway and rail trail created on a former New York Central Railroad spur on the west side of Manhattan in New York City. Its a very beautiful location for an early morning run or a mid-week stroll. If you do want to visit on weekends, just keep in mind this is also when large groups also tend to visit.
