They have an amazing crab sandwich with a view to match. You can't go wrong going here for food -- although it does get busy on the weekends. Late night they have live music and you can get one of those sandwiches at the bar. I do.

A Diners-DriveIns-Dive's recommendation. Good BBQ, big portions. Place was very good but if you're a BBQ connoisseur, don't let the high ratings fool you, it's not in the top five in the country or anything. But for California coast and for a spicy, vinegar sauce, it's very good.

Want high tea and don't feel like going into the city? Lovey's has you covered. A wide selection of unflavored, flavored and herbal teas, traditional crustless tea sandwiches and petit fours, plus scones and crumpets baked fresh on the premises. The vibe at Lovey's is calm and civilized, so if you're in a hurry for your leafy fix, score a Tazo at a drive through Starbucks. But if you have more than a minute and no particular place to be, then pull up a chair, choose something delightful and drink in the casual charm at Lovey's. Whatever you choose, the lemon curd is not to be missed.

Great easy hike along the coast-stroller friendly on the boardwalk and coastal trail (the stairs add additional difficulty). About 3 miles round trip from the parking lot/trail head to the pier near the chit chat cafe and back. Lots of families and dogs along the way. Worth a trip down for a morning hike and brunch. Beautiful views and waves and a small beach. Wear layers because it can get cold/windy!

Pacifica pier is a beautiful beach it's very scenic, the dock juts out in an L shape into the sea so people can do fishing and crabbing. You don't need a license to crab there - but that can also be a problem because there's so many people there everyday. There's sinks to wash your hands and the dock has a ledge with juts to hold fishing poles/ropes, etc.

Quiet hiking trail with great views of the bay and a lake (not sure which one). This trail is not very wooded, which is nice if you are hiking alone or not sure where you are headed. The trail is very clearly seen ahead. This trail will divide into a bunch of other trails the further you hike. On the way, you will run into the Nike missile site if you are interested in a little history.

A nice short (~.75 miles each way) walk with up and downhill parts, either on the trail or the paved road, going in a circle-ish (hard to get lost), and pretty views over Pacifica. Parking is limited, which means it's also not very crowded. Be warned, though: it is SUPER windy. Recommend taking the unpaved path on the way out for a nice view on the way to the big, scenic view and the paved path on the way back.

This studio has it all! Whether you are trying ceramics for the first time, or are a more experienced potter, you will find a welcoming atmosphere at Clay Creations. There is a sense of community here, from the owner Margaret, to the other teachers, and all of the members. The studio usually has a couple of "regulars" working, but I've never felt crowded--and I don't like working in a vaccum!. Those "regulars" contain a wealth of knowledge, and they have always been willing to help me create better art.

An absolute hidden gem. The staff is so considerate and helpful. And most importantly they have fresh never frozen wild seafood - from scallops, salmon, and a bunch of varieties I've never had before. I can't believe I ever wasted time and money at whole foods when these guys are so close. I am a total food snob and I was completely blown away by their quality. A lot of the fish is even sashimi grade-- I just sear it delicately with a little salt and lemon and it's good to go. Fabulous seafood very reasonable price.

A great little shop with character. I read in another review that the owners were especially kind to children. This turned out to be true! A very kind lady took the time to explain the basics of fishing and crabbing to a 7 year old girl, looked at her fishing rod, picked out weights and hooks and bait for it, and gave her a free lollipop. She told us what fish people catch from the Pacifica Pier and encouraged us to talk to people there when we come back. The bookstore next door is like an extra awesome bonus!
