The story is that two sisters, never married, lived in this apartment for years together. A couple of years ago an anthropologist visited their home and discovered that the whole apartment had not changed since the 18th century!
Lousianna is not in Copenhagen, so we would only recommend going there if you are in Copenhagen for several days. It is a museum of modern art and it is very famous in Denmark. If you are into art, we would recommend you prioritising this spot. Louisiana has a great restaurant if you would like to have lunch or dinner there.

Go to Christiania: This is a very unique landmark in Copenhagen. This city was founded by a group of people who claimed an area, and for 40 years did not follow the same laws as the rest of Denmark. For example, hash is sold on the street (or at least it used to be, but the ‘Christianittes’ kicked the criminals out). To be honest we haven’t been there during winter, but during summer there are cool art shops, organic cafes, and a nearby lake where people have built their own houses. It is a very interesting place, and we would definitely recommend going there – however, be aware of tricksters, and the people selling weed. Copenhagen is beautiful from the water side. Nettobådene it is a turist trip in a large canalboat, and it is a great way to get an introduction to Copenhagen. But remember to bring some warm clothes if the sun is not out!

Gothersgade (and area) has great shopping with bigger brands like Stine Goya, Marie og Storm, Baum and phergarden, Tiger of Sweden and so on and so on. If you go further to Strøget you will also find hm, Topshop, vero mode, Gucci etc. Strøget is the biggest shopping street in Copenhagen.
