My favourite Sydney beaches and coastal walks

Once you have done the Rushcutters Bay walk around the corner and Beare Park in front of the building, it is time to see more of Sydney and its world class beaches! WHILE YOU'RE IN SYDNEY, HIT THE BEACH Discover secret beaches and bays dotted around Sydney's coastlines and unwind with the ocean as your backdrop. Check out beautiful stretches of sand along the Northern Beaches running from gorgeous Manly to the picturesque scenery of Palm Beach with so much in between. Whether you're walking across the stunning Mona Vale Headland or enjoying the surfing culture at nearby Collaroy Beach, there's a beach adventure for everyone on Sydney's famous beaches. Relax at a range of beautiful beaches in Sydney, from tranquil bays in Sydney Harbour to some of the world’s best surf beaches. There are world-famous Bondi and Manly, well-kept secret beaches, and lovely secluded beaches in Australia’s oldest national park, the Royal National Park. Getting to many beaches is easy by public transport. Bondi Beach is 30 minutes from Town Hall in the city centre by train and bus. You can take a ferry from Circular Quay across one of the world’s finest natural harbours to Manly. And the train from Central Station to Cronulla is only 50 minutes. Six pretty Sydney Harbour beaches with tidal swimming enclosures are: Seven Shillings Beach in Double Bay Shark Beach in Nielsen Park, Vaucluse Parsley Bay Reserve in Vaucluse Greenwich Baths near Greenwich Point ferry wharf Balmoral Beach in Mosman Manly Cove near Manly ferry wharf Like many beaches in Australia’s most beautiful city, Bondi is a delight all year. A National Surfing Reserve, surfers carve up waves from dawn. You’ll discover delicious places to eat in Bondi and at other popular beaches, and there are hip bars and lovingly restored pubs, such as the Clovelly Hotel. You can explore several gorgeous beaches on the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk, a 6km trail that meanders by Tamarama, Bronte and Clovelly. A popular spot for snorkelling and scuba diving is Gordons Bay, which is part of the Bronte-Coogee Aquatic Reserve and just north of Coogee Beach. To the south are more fine stretches of sand and iconic National Surfing Reserves at Maroubra Beach and Cronulla’s beaches. You can take a ferry from Cronulla to Bundeena, a gateway to the Royal National Park. Or drive into the national park to Wattamolla Beach and other beaches. In the Northern Beaches are more National Surfing Reserves as well as family-friendly beaches with outdoor pools such as at Manly and Dee Why. For more fun and TV memorabilia, join Flamin’ Galah or Northern Beaches Tours on a tour to Palm Beach, featured in the hit TV drama Home and Away. https://www.sydney.com/things-to-do/beach-lifestyle/sydney-beaches?utm_source=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sff.org.au%2F&utm_medium=EDM%202&utm_campaign=Sydney%20Film%20Festival%202019&utm_source=Sydney+Film+Festival+-+Main+List&utm_campaign=7a73298fe4-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_06_01_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_abc4e17558-7a73298fe4-79506319
Bondi is full of cafes and amazing restaurants and the most beautiful seawater pool in the world at bondi icebergs - you can go upstairs to Icebergs restaurant and follow with oysters, champagne and special fish of the day dishes, or just a simple coffee at the icebergs cafe - heaven.

This is a lovely beach for avid swimmers and people who don't like sand and don't like waves but love a great ocean swim and walk around the headland.
