Nobody who comes to LA should miss this spot, specially if they want to taste "California's Best Pizza" according to several food blogs. They only open for dinner from 4pm-11pm. Reservations are recommended for large groups. They serve alcohol, but their cork fee is only $4.

This place is very old, but very consistent and has won awards through the years. It is the best Chinese food I've ever had, but I've never been to China.

This is one of the closest and nicest coffee shops in the neighborhood. Most tables are taken up by people with laptops but the coffee is very good. It's 0.8 miles away from the house.

If you have to have Starbucks this is the closest one to the house at 0.7 miles, a nice walk. There are other interesting restaurants in this corner as well, if you'd like to explore.

This is one of my favorites in the area, they have a large selection of beers (no hard liquor) and delicious food to go with your drinks. They have pool tables and a stage where local and well known bands have performed, The English Beat played here recently. They also have trivia nights.

This is a brewery where they only serve Eagle Rock Brewery beer and have a very ambitious chef that will blow your mind. They close at 10pm and don't open Tuesdays.

This was probably LA's best and largest independent brewery and public house until they were bought out by whoever owns Budweiser, don't let that stop you from enjoying this amazing place and fulfilling menu.

This used to be somebody's house, and it is now a museum, a botanical garden, and just an awesome place to get some peach and quiet in the big city. There is an entrance fee, it is so worth it. For Chris Farley fans, Beverly Hills Ninja was filmed here (the DOJO scenes) They have cafes, food, and tea houses inside.

This is also very close to here. Do a little research on YELP before you head out, the trail is about 3 miles, and there is a waterfall and some streams. You probably don't want to bring a baby there, dogs are fine.

The place is not exactly a shopping mall, but it has evolved into a sort of outdoor shopping mall, with lots of bars and restaurants peppered in between the GAP and the APPLE store. It's great to walk, park on the public structure off Fair Oaks and Colorado (entrance on Fair Oaks and Green) Green is a one way street, east bound only. First 90 minutes are free. Street parking is nearly impossible to find in Old Town. You will also get a ticket if you park outdoors in Pasadena between 2am-6am.
