The food is really good, the cocktails are interesting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. My favorite cocktails are the Hippy Tom Collins ("Hippy Tom" himself frequents the place) and the Smoking Barrel.

The atmosphere is cozy and comfy OR romantic, and the bartender, Patrick, is a cocktail magician. Give him any flavor profile you like, and he can create a cocktail to please you. I love his Doug fir gin martinis.

Parks & Nature
If you walk from our house around the loop (which takes you through a lovely grove of oaks), and back again, it's a full two mile walk, with a good sized hill to get you really going. There are some really nice places to dip your toes in the North Yamhill, too.

At Miller Woods, it's easy to feel like you're WAY out in the country and immerse yourself in nature. Good, well maintained hiking trails, and usually not very busy.
