Have to get a swim in Seneca Lake? Smith Park is a community waterfront park with camping and picnicking facilities, a boat launch, swimming beach, and showers. It is open seasonally from the first weekend in May through the last weekend of September.

Staying for a while? Cornell Campus is 40 mins away and easy to visit in the summer when students are away. This museum is beautiful architecture filled with gems and on the 5th floor is an incredible view up Cayuga Lake. Across the street is a pedestrian only suspension bridge taking you over the gorge.

The glass for your iphone came from Corning and here's a museum dedicated to that and more. Incredible modern art exhibits including lots of Chihuly glass. Good exploration zones for kids too.
