The Capital City Bike Trail is within sight of our home and links to numerous state bike trails reaching as far as McFarland, Verona, Mt. Horeb, and Dodgeville. A short road section links to the 55-mile gravel Glacial Drumlin trail terminating in Waukesha. You could literally navigate this bike-friendly city and leave the car parked. The state trails require a day or annual pass per bike. We usually have a bike map and some pass forms on hand. Rental electric bikes are available within a short walk throughout the more congested isthmus and UW-Madison area. The Slow Roll bike shop is nearby for sales and service.
