The place has the best Falafel sandwiches! Oh, and the fries are really good too. If you want to dine in are take away, 1000 Fig is very close restaurants that has a nice clean ambiance. It's just 3 mins away from the house too!

The Fairgrounds neighborhood is centrally located in the city. You can get anywhere in 20 mins by car. The neighborhood is really quiet with friendly long term residents as neighbors.
The Fairgrounds is near by to the annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in the spring and the Voodoo Fest in the Fall.
The Fairgrounds neighborhood is very close to Bayou St. John, Bayou Road, and City Park, which are each historic and tourist attractions to visit. You can ride a bike or walk to City Park for nice day at the New Orleans Museum of Art, enjoy a picnic by Bayou St. John, or walk down historic Bayou Road into the historic Treme and French Quarters.
The Fairgrounds neighborhood is only 15 mins from the New Orleans CBD/downtown, Superdome, convention center, and the French Quarter!

If the colonial French had not meet the Native American on Bayou Road there would be no New Orleans. You can travel this Road into the historic Treme neighborhood. It's not a long walk, maybe just 3-4 miles. Bayou Road is not far from the Po.ur Honor Creole Cottage in the Historic Fairgrounds!
