You wîll not regret a hike up to the top of Greenwich Park. Sitting next to the General Woolf statue lies the Royal Observatory and a museum which charts the history of time. The views over the Royal Naval College and the Queen’s House sre stunning. The bend in the River Thames can be seen and there are views of The Shard, The London Eye and St Paul’s Cathedral. You may like to stand with one foot on either side of the Greenwich Meridian, to be found at this spot.

Royal Greenwich Observatory
Blackheath AvenueYou wîll not regret a hike up to the top of Greenwich Park. Sitting next to the General Woolf statue lies the Royal Observatory and a museum which charts the history of time. The views over the Royal Naval College and the Queen’s House sre stunning. The bend in the River Thames can be seen and there are views of The Shard, The London Eye and St Paul’s Cathedral. You may like to stand with one foot on either side of the Greenwich Meridian, to be found at this spot.
Fun thing to do and you can jump on the docklands light railway on the other side. Memorable for kids and a fab experience!

I never tire of this park and visit it every few days when in London. It is a favourite with joggers, has a great children’s playground and provides access to many great sites and views including the Royal Naval Museum and the Freddie Offer Wing. There is a good cafe in the museum. There is a great Rose Garden, a deer park and the Rangers House sits to one side and is worth a visit.

Greenwich Park
I never tire of this park and visit it every few days when in London. It is a favourite with joggers, has a great children’s playground and provides access to many great sites and views including the Royal Naval Museum and the Freddie Offer Wing. There is a good cafe in the museum. There is a great Rose Garden, a deer park and the Rangers House sits to one side and is worth a visit.
Lived in by King William and Mary, the house sits in grounds adjoining Greenwich Park. The external areas are open to the public free of charge. The house itself is beautifully proportioned, has a good collection of paintings and is worth a visit to see its fabulous staircase.

Food scene
These photos don’t do justice to this lovely covered market in the Heart of Greenwich. It has lovely crafts and gifts and many food outlets. It is very close to the Park snd even closer to the Cutty Sark museum.

This is a very busy cafe restaurant near our house. It is so popular that you have to pre-book. It is very good value, very basic surroundings but very good Asian food.

They have a couple of live music nights when you can have a beer and free entertainment. You can get good food at the bar and is between our house and the river, so not far to walk.
This is the premier concert venue in London and is also our nearest access to the Jubilee Underground line. It is reached by a 188 or 129 bus close to the house. And is 7-9 minutes away. It is full of restaurants and cafes but is mainly there to support huge numbers of concert goers.
