An interesting historic island with a café and restaurant facilities. It's a good idea to bring a picnic lunch or buy one from the store and then choose the one that suits you. Gorgeous cliffs, either on the rocks or on the lawn. There may be some traffic during the summer, but the place is good. At Gustav's sword, it's nice to watch the big ships sail down the narrow strait. There are also churches and museums on the island that are worth a visit. The island's military history is visible, but in a wonderfully relaxed way. It is easy to go all day on the island if you are touring the island to always find something interesting around the corner. There is also a nice beach for children to explore and even a small beach on the island. The island also has its own brewery restaurant if you are interested in beer. The Market Square takes 20 minutes and is short, so it's easy to get there.

The Temppeliaukio Church, excavated in the rock, is located in the heart of Helsinki, at the end of Fredrikinkatu. Due to its unique architecture, the church, completed in 1969, is one of Helsinki's main attractions. The church hall is covered by a copper-clad dome, supported by rock beams on the rock walls. The inner walls are of rubble rock and quarry stone. In the morning sunlight spreads from a row of windows around the edge of the roof to the altar wall, which serves as an altar slab for a crack in the ice age.

Popular jogging and outdoor activities A great place to jog or walk all year round. You can get there by bus, city bike or car, the nearest horse carriage stop is about a quarter walk through the arboretum. In the summer, parking spaces may be tight. In the area you can see old Finnish buildings that have been brought here all over the country. Some can be accessed inside. In summer, all kinds of shows, tours and screenings are available. There is also a campfire site so sausages etc. can be fried. There are more cafes, the crown is probably my favorite. There are several swimming places. This is also great for a picnic. Excellent destination for tourists and locals alike!

If you are traveling to Helsinki, you will probably end up at Helsinki Railway Station or Steissi as locals call it. Helsinki Railway Station has been the hub for traffic in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area since 1919. Trains take you to the airport, to Lapland and all the way to St. Petersburg. Switching to the bus, subway or tram is easy. However, the Helsinki Railway Station is not just a terminal for Finnish train traffic. It is a historically significant building and a true example of style by architect Eliel Saarinen. There are also numerous events around the railway station throughout the year, and in the winter, an artificial ice rink will be set up on the Railway Market for keen skaters.

The Senate Square is a marketplace in the heart of Helsinki and the historic center of Helsinki. It is surrounded by numerous valuable buildings such as Helsinki Cathedral, Government Palace and the University of Helsinki main building. In the middle of the square is the statue of Alexander II. The Senate Square with its cathedrals is the most famous symbol in Helsinki and one of the city's most popular tourist destinations. There are Aleksanterinkatu, Unioninkatu, Snellmaninkatu and along the northern edge of the Cathedral you will find Hallituskatu. The Senate Square and its surroundings form the old center of Helsinki. The oldest buildings in the inner city, such as the Sederholm House, completed in 1757, are located in the area.

A traditional market place in a beautiful location in front of the Presidential Palace and Helsinki City Hall. Next to the market hall. The marketplace often serves traditional meat pie or salmon soup. If you eat ice cream or anything else in your hand, you should watch out for seagulls. From the Market Square ferries can be reached. Suomenlinna and Korkeasaari Zoo. In the afternoon, the big cruisers leave for Stockholm. Out of 600 steel pipes, the monument in the Töölö district is huge. The statue by sculptor Eila Hiltunen is 8.5 meters high, 10.5 meters long and 6.5 meters deep. Underneath it is free to travel, and through the pipes you can hear wind noise, hum and echo. The statue was opened to the public in 1967 and blends well with the surrounding cliffs and trees. The sculpture is like a large organ, each of them should interpret it in their own way. The park around the sculpture has a quiet and free walking area.

Established in 1893, the Winter Garden has been a refreshing and meeting place for city dwellers for over 120 years. The sophisticated oasis of exotic plants invites you to go green in all seasons. In addition to plants, carp floating in the pool will delight visitors. During the summer and even in the fall, passersby can admire the rose garden outside the Winter Garden. At Christmas, right up to the end of the day, the Winter Garden's traditional and sleek ghost figures gaze at visitors. The garden is also adorned with Christmas flowers such as poinsettias, amaryls, hyacinths and azaleas, and as a single Pearl the old camel in the Winter Garden. In turn, Easter lilies and tulips bloom.

Designed by architect Lars Sonck, Kallio Church is one of Helsinki's most famous landmarks. The church was completed at the end of the Unioninkatu-Siltasaarenkatu axis in 1912 and is one of the cleanest representatives of the National Romantic building style in Finland. Havis Amanda is a sculpture by sculptor Ville Vallgren between Esplanade Park and the Market Square. In addition to the naked maiden figure, the fountain complex includes four sea lions on the edge of the pool and fish spraying water from the central platform. The sculptures are made of bronze and the pool is made of red rapakivi granite from Vehmaan Uhlu. The total height of the fountain is 5 meters. The sculpture was unveiled in 1908. On May Day, the statue is the focal point of the student celebration when it is washed and painted. The student unions in the Helsinki metropolitan area alternate between legalization. Whenever Finland wins the World Championship in hockey, people gather here to celebrate, often naked (mostly men)

The Kumpula Botanical Garden is an oasis of refreshment in a well-kept green city environment. The geological collections in the manor are also an interesting addition to enjoying the garden. The area is open during the summer season. The Kumpula Botanical Garden is located in the historic lands of Kumpula Manor. The garden features a collection of cultivated plants that can be found in ornamental, medicinal and nutritional plants. Ornamental plants have the weight of a typical 19th century manor environment in flora. The garden also has geographically distributed park-like plant collections and water themes.
