Are you looking for cicchetti and good wine? "Cicchetti" (local slang) are small snacks or side dishes, typically served in traditional "bàcari" (cicchetti bars or osterie).
This very good bacaro has a very good selection of wine and... and it's faced on The Squero of San Trovaso.
It's one of the very few squeri still used in Venice.
A “Squero” is the place were typical Venetian boats like the gondolas are built. The Squero dates back to the seventeenth century. This is a good combination between food and heritage.

I was a child when I was there to sell my used books. In the course of time many locals have done the same. Now Acqua Alta book store visit is a must. In the morning you could find queue, so the better moment is after noon. Lost yourself into this shop and you'll smell the past.

Out of classical tours, this visit that I strongly suggest is the best place to find heritage, style and serene quietude. Fortuny Museum is an art museum, now often known as Palazzo Fortuny, where Mariano Fortuny had a studio in the late nineteenth century, and lived from 1902. We can considera Mr Mariano Fortuny as the first stylist!

Hey there! Did you know that in Venice there are no cars allowed? That's right, people walk on narrow streets called "calli" and sometimes they even run, just like they do when they drive!
To really feel like a local, my tip for you is to walk on the right side of the street in the narrowest alleys.
That way, you can really soak up the city's vibes and enjoy the experience to the fullest!
