This museum is spectacular. In addition to regular exhibits, they offer concerts, events, and classes. Check their website and or call to find out what is available. Don't try to see the whole thing in one day. Limit your focus to a few rooms and you will have more time to soak everything in.

Great little local park with amenities that include Basketball, multi-purpose field, playground, ramada and picnic area, sand volleyball, grill, fitness course.
Not a dog park, but a good place to take the dog for a walk with a leash

Individuals who are not able to hike to the peak can enjoy paved nature trails from the parking lot. Water is available only at the parking lot trailhead, so bring at least a quart or more per person
