A great place for a meal with a view not far from Lostwithiel. We often go to the beach for a bit and then Lunch at Sams, or better still sundowners and supper. They often have fresh local caught sea food, but always plenty of other choice if fish isn’t your bag.

This is one of our favourite fish restaurants in the area, the baked oysters are out of this world and not to be missed if you like seafood. Parking can be a bit tricky nearby so we recommend parking up in one of the residential streets nearby and walking down to the port for an explore.

Charlestown is a pristine, amazingly unspoiled example of a late Georgian working port. Today it retains much of its original Georgian character and as a result is a very popular film location for period tv and film.

One of Cornwall’s best kept secrets and popular with the locals. There’s a bit of a steep walk to get there but it’s absolutely worth it in our opinion. Dogs are allowed on this beach all year round.

This is one of my favourite things to do when I have visitors come to stay. We hire kayaks and paddle up to the Pandora Inn for lunch, then slowly paddle back, the scenery is lovely and the food at the Pandora always good.
