Sightseeing

Gansey Girl & Harbour, miles of beaches to walk perhaps twiddle your toes in the golden sand(recommend Bridlington south beach)..Plenty of shops & pubs(some run down)the new Wetherspoon pub(2019)is popular.. In my opinion the harbour alone is worth a visit, the swimming pool and spar theatre are also popular..Sewerby Hall(don't let the name put you off!)a popular attraction 5 to 10 minute drive away.. alternatively enjoy the mini train ride from Bridlington or walk along the cliff tops(not too close!)or down to the rocky beach(single access from near Sewerby the Ship inn).

Filey can get quiet busy in summer & is 21 miles from Beeford, this little seaside town omits a certain charm. Best to Park up in the town before descending onto the front. If you fancy a couple of hours stroll along Filey Brigg please check tide times before setting off. Golden sand & rock pools around the brigg itself aswell as candy floss, fish n chips etc, public convenience.

Look out for special theme weekends. Definitely worth a visit and just a short pleasant country lane drive from 3 Bears lodge.. Yvonne & I often cycle there.

Neighborhoods

7/2022..We like to make our garden a fun & colourful place.
Time to relax in the quiet village of Beeford with convenience store, friendly people. Enjoy a 30 to 60 minute village stroll to St.Leonard's & gardens or a 2.5 hour circular walk to lovely Foston on the wolds. In general a good location near the coast with the natural beauty of the yorkshire wolds not far away. Barmston Beach is just a 6 minute drive, York 1hr, Scarborough 50mins, Whitby 1hr 20min. Good cycling alone the quiet lanes joining up villages along the way.

Skipsea has sea views from the scary eroding coastline(Be careful where the road disappears in front of you!!), the best safe access to the beach is from Mr Moo's ice cream palour /cafe with free carpark ..This involves a pleasant 15 minute walk from the carpark. Please support Mr Moo's by purchasing something from the shop/cafe...Yvonne & I usually go for a Teddy Cone, choose your flavour... yummy! free parking just about anywhere in the village or try an amble around the church grounds with rooks circling the tower & the skipsea castle(just an earth mound)in the distance. Skipsea is'nt far from Hornsea so why not visit both.
