Beautiful natural lake with a replica iron age "Crannog". Lovely for walks particularly if you go to the Llangasty Church side of the lake. There is a cafe by the lake and a couple of pubs in the village

Just off the A40 on the way to Brecon. Small cafe, butchers, deli and gift shop on the venison farm. Plenty of parking and a good base for a walk up the Alt to an iron age hill fort.

Walks

There are any number of walks from the house. See the maps on the wall and the tourist office in Crickhowell offers maps/ideas etc.
Walk across the road up the lane opposite and turn second left. Then over the style and through the fields. The path then follows the stream to a meadow where you walk through the sheep fold at the top before bearing right and you will see the path to the top of Table Mountain. You can either return the same way or go over the other side and come out on Llanbedr Road

The path then follows the stream to a meadow where you walk through the sheep fold at the top before bearing right and you will see the path to the top of Table Mountain. You can either return the same way or go over the other side and come out on Llanbedr Road
Go through the field in front of the house and the gate at the bottom (please remember to close it). Take the path slightly to the left round the edge of the fields until you get to the trees and a path which leads to the river. You can turn left towards Crickhowell or right towards the Glanusk estate.

Park either on the dam or the carpark further along the reservoir. There are several walks, on the flat around the reservoir or on to the ridges either side. There is also a waterfall walk at the far end of the valley.
