Elk Knob State Park features one of the highest peaks in North Carolina’s high country at 5,520 feet and one of the parks system’s finest trails to the spectacular views from the summit. And the best part, it's only a short ten minute drive from our property.

Linville Falls is an absolute must see waterfall. Plan on spending several hours here if you want to see the waterfall from all the different overlooks that are offered and to really enjoy the area to it's fullest. The 5 trails offered range from easy/moderate to moderate/difficult. I've seen all ages on all the trails, but you might be carrying the little ones on the more difficult ones.

Hike the property right outside your door!
Feel free to explore the property. You'll find a map inside a binder inside the RV. It's a peaceful walk of approximately 1.8 miles. Stop partway through and wade in Meat Camp Creek. You're likely to run into a horse or two along the way!
