Sightseeing

On a good day Mt Denali / McKinley is alive! This is a great viewing spot of the Sleeping Lady / Mt Susitna. During low tide you may walk out on the beach. Dare to swim in the murky cold water? It is doable, but use caution! Who knows what may be lurking in the water? It is Alaska, y'know?!

Take a short drive south of Anchorage and stop at the Beluga Point. Use caution if crossing the railroad tracks though! Take a jacket and a beanie as it is very windy there! You may spot a Beluga whale or two! Wild sheep may also be seen climbing the rocks above the highway, and eagles may be spotted along the coast! Use caution while driving this road as falling rocks and accidents do occur on this highway.
