Probably the best restaurant in the twin cities area right now. The menu is varied and everything they do is farm to table quality. They pride themselves on locally sourced foods. Specials are always changing. Highly recommend checking them out for a nice meal with wine. (note: wine & beer only) They run on a policy of 50% reservations and 50% walk-ins so be aware of this on busy nights. The owners name is Luke tell him you are my guests and he'll take care of you.

811 Main StA Kenai institution that’s been in business longer than I have been alive. Their menu runs everything from Greek (the best) to Seafood, American, Mexican or Italian. Everything they do, they do well. Hands down it’s also the best pizza in Kenai as well. The bar provides full service drinks and they also deliver.
A pillar of eating in Kenai for 25+ years. Beyond the best Seafood around (try the coconut salmon or halibut burger) the entire restaurant is covered in Alaskan artifacts and animal mounts for a really great experience. The portions are huge and they have full service bar. Reservations may be needed in July.

Hands down the best Mexican cantina style food in Kenai. Wonderful full menu of tex/mex , daily specials, free salsa bar and beer and wine to wash it all down with.

The best subs on the peninsula by far, more expensive than subway but well worth it in my opinion. Bread cooked daily and primo cold cuts and philly’s. Also has a location in Kasilof and Soldotna.

Quaint little place that cant be beat for breakfast or lunch. Full coffee shop and wonderful soups and sandwiches. Only open till 3pm and closed on Sundays.

Authentic Thai food with cook to order spiciness. Lunchtime buffets and great menu of Thai curry’s and pad Thais to choose from. Located right next to Jersey sub if people want two different things.

Great selection of onsite beers and homemade root beer. And the food is excellent, specials change daily, and I have never had a bad one. This is in Soldotna but put in on your to-do list.

Located in Old town Kenai it’s the best burger in town by far! Served out of an eccentric school bus this low-key place has been serving up spectacular summertime burgers for 20+ years. Seating is limited to a few picnic tables and check the hours or call before you go but its well worth it!

Seating is limited to a few picnic tables and check the hours or call before you go but its well worth it!

Full service bar with great on tap beers. Roomier than The Back Door and does live music and dancing plus has a full room dedicated to darts and 2 pool tables. Everything I have ever had here was really well done and was a great value (check out the buffalo chicken dip and the pork street tacos). Note: Main Street Bar & Grill is fully non-smoking but there is a very nice outdoor smoking section that you can dine and drink in if you’re so inclined.

Great local sports bar atmosphere. Right next to Louies Restaurant and you can order from that menu and be served at the bar (handy trick if the restaurant is a wait)
