Before becoming a major tourist destination on the Croatian coast, Rovinj has always had a history closely related to fishing. This activity remains a significant economic driver for the city. You don’t need to walk more than 2 minutes from Cozy Koza to reach the fish market that perpetuates the tradition. Open until about 11 a.m., it offers a wide selection of fish and seafood. Make sure to ask for wild fish caught in Istria. Just across the street, you will find the vegetable market (with a delicious local olive oil!), as well as a butcher shop and various other small shops (selling excellent fresh eggs).
