Food Scene

The Root is a cute, hippie little place downtown. The food is amazing! Try the tofu scrambler or the buttermilk pancakes for breakfast.

We love the lunch buffet at Star of India! Some of our favorite dishes also include the Cashew Masala, Aloo Gobi, and Vegetable Biryani.

We enjoy the atmosphere at River City Coffee! This is a cute little coffee shop with comfy chairs and local art (available for purchase) on the walls. It's a great place to meet a friend for a coffee, tea or cocoa and a chat, or connect to the wifi to work.

Parks & Nature

The Big Dam Bridge is the longest pedestrian bridge in the world...and it's fun to say! ;) It's an enjoyable walk or jog, and you'll run in to lots of locals.

Entertainment & Activities

The Little Rock Zoo is the perfect sized zoo - big enough that there is plenty to see, and small enough that it feels intimate and you can really connect with the animals. It's obvious that the animals are very well cared for here and it's not rare to run into a Keeper who will visit with and educate guests about these magnificent creatures.

On a pretty day (which is almost every day in the Natural State!) we love to go for a stroll at the Promenade At Chenal to shop, people watch, see a movie or grab a bite at one of the several restaurants. Favorite stores include Home Goods, Charming Charlie (jewelry heaven for the ladies - hubby usually sits on a bench outside!) and Anthropologie.

No visit to Little Rock is complete without a stop at Central High. The visitor's center is informative and feels like hallowed ground as it commemorates one of the pivotal moments in Civil Rights history. Bring tissues.
