You can access the East River Ferry to travel throughout NYC. There is a dog park, basketball, a place to get wine or beer in the park on the waterfront.

This is much more than a museum and one of my favorite centers dedicated to the creation and presentation of contemporary art. Like The Chocolate Factory, they commission new works (mostly sculpture). They believe in and support the artists creating new work.

I speak about PS1 as the place that Museum of Modern Art really takes risks in a gorgeous reclaimed schoolhouse.

Be prepared to watch those trying their craft or to be there when a name you know stops by to try out new material. And, there are 8-10 pinball machines... great drinks & food. The chili and the chicken soup are family recipes. Boozy brunch.
