Can't praise this venue enough. The Monday parmo night excellent value buy one get one free, such big portions I end up taking a doggy bag home with me. Gets busy so best to ring and book for the Mon nights. Haven't tried the steak night with the free bottle of wine specials but we will. Best ring up as things might change regarding the different specials nights. Nice cosy pub and friendly staff.. Our other trips there are when we are out walking as a well deserved stop off we call there for a latte and a read of the daily papers. OK doesn't sound a big deal but the staff are so helpful one way or another and keep the place spotless. Chris, not sure if he's manager or barman but he was so h

The reservoir is surrounded by beautiful wild heather moorland and is relatively shallow, making it an excellent choice for both fly and bait anglers alike. You can now loose feed and ground bait around the reservoir. Scaling Dam is accessible for disabled anglers with a disabled platform close to the visitor centre. The best locations to fish include the dam wall, dog leg and disabled platform. For those who like to wander, the middle reaches of the reservoir provide some fantastic sport particularly on the south shore and shallow east end bay. On site we have an excellent lodge shop stocked with everything you need for a day’s fishing including rods, reels, tackle, accessories, clothing,

This is a hidden gem which can easily transport you back in time..... the narrow streets between the houses are only accessible on foot. The old fisherman's cottages, are now mostly holiday lets, but you can feel that the past is ingrained in every stone. The bay is gorgeous with the small, multi-coloured dinghys parked up on the bay next to the lifeboat station. A photographers paradise - especially with the thatched cottage on the edge of the bay looking out to see. Well worth a visit. Large car park makes close to the sea makes it really accessible.
