Every Sunday the market of Santana is held. A lovely busy market with fruits, veggies, flowers, household items and little animals as well. If you plan to visit the market, enjoy a good cup of coffee at one of the stalls with a sweet treat.

Dominio Vale Flores forms the perfect base to explore many villages and cities in Portugal. For us, Tomar is one of them. The castle of the Templers is a must see but we also love the Friday market near the river. It is just a lovely city to wander around.

The walled city of Obidos is well known in Portugal. Only a 30 minute ride. But, be aware, during the season it is very, very busy.

We love the beach of Foz de Arelho. Within 45 minutes you can enjoy the beautiful Atlantic Coast. The advantage of Foz de Arelho is the lagoon. Easy accesible for children to play in the water, safe as well. While on the other side you can enjoy the big waves of the Atlantic. Foz de Arelho offers different restaurant. Our favourite is Pescana do Pescador, located at the beach with good seafood but we also like Tibino, a bit more fusion located in the village.
