Nolensville Pike is lined with great, authentic international and ethnic food. There is even a food crawl (usually around Labor Day weekend hosted by the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights coalition) which is amazing! I did this last year and hope to again.

No discussion of the Nashville food scene can even start without mentioning the most Nashville cuisine of them all; Hot Chicken. While it is true that you can not raise a glass in this town without spilling some on a hot chicken joint there is no reason not to take your spice curious palate where the locals go: Bolton's. Be careful though. This ain't no tourist chicken.

Etch is a globally-inspired restaurant by award-winning chef Deb Paquette. You can not go wrong with anything here but we highly recommend the roasted cauliflower dish. It is the only thing that has been on the menu every day the restaurant has been open.

In my personal opinion there is only one authentic honky-tonk left on Broadway and it just so happens to be about the only place locals are still wont to frequent; Robert's Western World. This ain't your frat boys honky tonk. If you hear a song written after the 80's being played in Robert's something is wrong. You come for the classic slide guitars and country waltzes but you'll stay for the atmosphere. Don't forget to try their famous Recession Special while you're there.
