Delicious croissants and pastries, especially the almond croissants which are large and very buttery plus strong coffees! More like a NY style bakery - minimalist decor and delicious baked goods (plus lunch foods and strong coffee). Not inexpensive, but worth it.

A general store with a great craft beer and wine selection! They have a terrific home cooked breakfast grille (think fresh egg/bacon on english muffin) and deli options. Good self serve coffee (free on Mondays), and a variety of food and pet items, including fresh fruits and vegetables and local food products. A couple of small cafe tables if you want to eat in. It also happens to be a full hardware store.

Good self serve coffee (free on Mondays), and a variety of food and pet items, including fresh fruits and vegetables and local food products. A couple of small cafe tables if you want to eat in. It also happens to be a full hardware store.

Downtown Burlington - great atmosphere. Bustling. Terrific baked goods and lunch stuff. Tasty coffee drinks and teas. Funky and fun. Lots of college student action but also good for regular folks :)

Fantastic specialty coffees and delectable baked goods. They have a few standing tables inside and outside a few seats. And hidden from view is a sweet deck overlooking the river (down the driveway to the right of the cafe). Deck is open as long as the snow isn’t too deep!

They carry yummy things like prosciutto, craft beers, local cheeses and homemade scones, breakfast sandwiches and lunch specials. They had an oyster special the other night and you can find basic onions and tomatoes as well as berries in season.
The hang out area has WiFi and comfy couches and tables and an especially sweet window seat with gorgeous views - and they're open til early evening. They provide cheese boards for the cheese you'll want to purchase, and water jugs to bring to your table. Created for the community and welcoming to all visitors. Highly recommend! This is an out of the way place with simple vibes, lots of dining space, and truly yummy breakfast/lunch options. Off I-89 as you’re heading north or south, this is a sweet place to stop and have a delightful meal. Highly recommend.

Found in Waitsfield (Stowe, Burlington and Middlebury) this tasty wood fired pizza is truly delicious and worth a visit for a fun night out. Easy place to do your laundry in downtown Montpelier. They can also clean it for you if you'd prefer - drop off one day and pick up next day. Nice large machines that work fast and well and parking just next to the building - the earlier you get there the more of a chance you'll get a spot.

It's the state capitol building in Vermont - easy access and you can stop in and listen to legislators in session. Tours daily. Great photo spot. And a large lawn out front that sees everything from ice skating in the winter to frisbee and Fourth of July in the summer.
