Fantastic National Monument about an hour and half drive from Santa Cruz. Best to visit this amazing place in Fall and Spring.

Quick 40 min drive. What can I say? There's caves, a mountain lake, bats (at night- certain times a year), great hiking, places to picnic and camp (?). Very cool geological rock formations with trails and caves that run through. Hot in the summer.
